The New American: Another Oregon County May Have Voted to Explore a Move to Idaho - The New American
The Greater Idaho movement has claimed a 12th county in its quest to move eastern Oregon counties into Idaho, citing Election-night totals in Wallowa County. However, as Oregon law allows for late counted ballots, the final result may not be known for a week. The Greater Idaho movement has accused former Democratic State Representative Ben Unger and the left-wing advocacy group Western States Strategies of sending out illegal mailers in Wallowa County in which they did not reveal who was sending them. They have filed a complaint with the state regarding the allegedly illegal mailers.
Fox News: Marjorie Taylor Greene announces impeachment articles against President Biden
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced her intention to introduce articles of impeachment against President Biden, accusing him of failing to secure the border and compromising national security by refusing to enforce immigration laws. The Epoch Times: Ford Moves to Split Peel Region—Mississauga's Mayor Is Happy, Brampton's Is Worried
Ontario Premier Doug Ford has announced his support for the separation of Mississauga from Brampton and Caledon, a division known as "Mexit," citing Mississauga's disproportionate funding of services in the region. Mayor Bonnie Crombie has long advocated for Mexit, and the province is expected to announce legislation to make it happen. Crombie advocates for a user-pays system for Peel Regional Police and shared water services, which would be independent and function on a user-pays system, but Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown remains wary of the plan, arguing that there has been insufficient planning for critical infrastructure.
Red State: WATCH: Sen. Kennedy Stumps Another Biden Judicial Nominee With Basic Constitutional Question
Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) grilled Biden judicial nominees for their lack of basic knowledge and understanding about the Constitution. Kennedy's simple and direct questioning has exposed a big problem with Biden's picks, as some have wilted under pressure and failed to know basic facts that a first-year law student might know. This lack of knowledge is a big concern for the quality of our courts, particularly when they pick nominees who are more aligned with them politically. Recently, Judge Ana de Alba, who is already a federal district court judge, struggled with basic questions about the Commerce Clause and the Dormant Commerce Clause during her hearing for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Breitbart: Gov. Joe Lombardo Vetoes Nevada Democrats' Gun Control Bills
Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo vetoed three Democrat-led gun control bills, citing infringement on constitutional rights and legal precedent. The bills included raising the minimum purchase age for certain firearms, criminalizing possession of firearms near voting areas, and prohibiting gun purchases by those convicted of hate crimes in the past decade. Democratic lawmakers and advocates expressed disappointment, while Lombardo stood by his decision.
The Epoch Times: 'Enveloped in Politicization': FBI Whistleblowers Reveal 'Serious Abuses,' House Report Finds
House Judiciary Republicans released a whistleblower report showing “serious abuse” and misallocations of resources by the FBI, which has “let itself become enveloped in this politicization and weaponization,” according to the report. Among other findings, the report reveals the ways that the FBI sought to inflate domestic terrorism figures, particularly in regards to Jan. 6 cases. Republicans also claimed that the inflation of domestic violence extremism incidents is to serve President Joe Biden and Democrats’ claims that home-grown terrorism is the greatest threat to American national security. Whistleblowers who came forward “described retaliatory conduct that they have faced after making protected disclosures,” and the report comes as Republicans continue to investigate the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
The Epoch Times: Disney Asks Court to Dismiss Desantis-Backed Lawsuit in Latest Twist
Disney asked a Florida court to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the board appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to oversee its theme park operations in Walt Disney World. Disney claimed the governor and board members carried out a political retribution for opposing a bill against grooming in schools. The feud between the two parties centers on a district, previously called Reedy Creek Improvement District, which granted Disney the right to self-govern its theme parks in Orlando since 1968.
Newsbusters: NY Mag Editor-At-Large Kara Swisher Claimed Musk Has ‘God Complex’ for Criticizing … Soros?
Tech journalist Kara Swisher and MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle criticized Elon Musk for speaking out against billionaire George Soros, accusing Musk of having a "god complex." However, Soros has explicitly stated his own belief in his self-importance and desire to be a "god or economic reformer." Musk has defended his freedom of speech on social media, despite criticism from Ruhle and Swisher, who seem upset that Twitter is not as censorship heavy as it used to be. In fact, prior to Musk's leadership, Twitter had posted a loss in eight of the past decade, and Musk has been credited with giving the company new value.

Red State: Taylor Lorenz, America's Online Bully, Gets the Twitter Files Treatment
Journalist Paul Thacker has released another installment of the Twitter Files, revealing the special access some people have to Twitter's back channels to ban users they don't like. In this case, online bully Taylor Lorenz was able to get people banned because she knew the right people. This coordination between Lorenz and Twitter executives appears to be quite extensive, leading to questions of whether "you scratch my back..." deals were being made.

The book is available in North Carolina, Maine, and New York.
The Economist: Britain’s Public Order Act goes too far
Britain's new Public Order Act criminalizes peaceful protest and has raised concerns about erosion of civil liberties in the country. The law makes it a criminal offence to obstruct major transport works and interfere with “key national infrastructure”, and to carry locking-on equipment “with the intention” to use it for this purpose. Civil-rights groups describe the law as draconian, and the UN High Commission for Human Rights says it imposes “serious and undue restrictions” on freedom of expression. The law also gives the police new powers to stop and search, and risks criminalizing peaceful protest to a degree that many lawyers say is unacceptable.

Spectator USA: Is Elon Musk’s war on remote work moral?
Elon Musk calls remote work "morally wrong" and accuses at-home workers of hypocrisy. He claims that the "laptop class" needs to get off their "moral high horse" and stop expecting service and manufacturing industries to go into work while they stay home. Musk imposed a return-to-work policy at Tesla in 2020 and bans remote work at both Tesla and SpaceX. He also eliminated employee's scheduled day off each month. Musk's comments reveal his own desperation, as there is nothing moral about working in an office or working from home.
The Epoch Times: Banks’ Rising Funding Costs, Reduced Lending Are Top Concerns for Bank of Canada
The Bank of Canada warns of vulnerabilities in the banking sector due to the effects of higher interest rates. The annual financial system review identifies mismatches between assets and liabilities, large unrealized losses, and depositors with holdings greater than deposit insurance limits as key concerns, with reliance on capital markets and Canada's overheated housing market also raising red flags for the stability of the financial system.

The economy is showing signs of recovery with positive indicators in commodities and markets. However, there is still a need for caution as the pandemic continues to affect global supply chains and demand.
The Epoch Times: Mortgage Demand Declines as Rates Continue to Rise
Mortgage applications decreased by 5.7% due to rising interest rates, with both refinance and purchase mortgages registering weekly declines. Rate volatility has made home buyers wary, adding to the problem of already scarce for-sale inventory in many parts of the country. Additionally, selling in the current market often means having to purchase a new home at a higher mortgage rate, resulting in higher monthly expenses, thus deterring homeowners from putting their properties on the market.
The Epoch Times: Russians Could Be Disguising Cash to Evade Canadian Sanctions, Federal Agency Warns
Canada's financial intelligence agency, Fintrac, has warned that Russians under economic sanctions could evade the restrictions using shell companies, cryptocurrency and real-estate transactions. The bulletin also highlights the possibility that those who launder proceeds of crime and corruption may transfer ownership of assets to family members or close associates. Fintrac is tasked with detecting money laundering by reviewing transactions from sources including banks, insurance companies, securities dealers and real estate agents and passes the information on to police and security partners to aid their investigations. Various characteristics of suspicious transactions have been identified, including the use of shell and front companies, legal firms in offshore centres servicing Russian clientele, Canadian financial institutions, real estate transactions and virtual currency transactions with links to Russia, Belarus or neighbouring jurisdictions with weak anti-money laundering systems.
Breitbart: Jobless Claims Fall as Labor Market Strength Continues to Defy Fed's Anti-Inflation Push
Jobless claims in the US fell to 242,000 last week, easing concerns that the labour market was cooling. The Federal Reserve is aiming to cool demand for labour, fearing that inflation will rise if demand outstrips supply. Despite rises in interest rates, unemployment has fallen to 3.4%, the lowest rate for decades. Economists predict low levels of unemployment and high demand for workers will support consumer spending and stimulate economic growth.

Forbes: E-7 Wedgetail Successor To AWACS Is A Must-Have For The Joint Force, The Sooner The Better
The Air Force needs to replace their aging E-3 Sentry radar plane, also known as AWACS. The solution will be an evolved version of the Wedgetail radar plane, based on a militarized version of the 737 jetliner, and will be designated as the E-7. It will be a far more efficient aircraft and will provide better connectivity with the rest of the joint force. The Air Force plans to acquire 26 Wedgetails by 2032, but the development and fielding cannot be significantly accelerated. The Air Force's top priority on its unfunded priorities list is an additional $600 million to purchase long-lead items for the initial aircraft.

China is the largest source of fentanyl in the US, and nearly 70,000 American children died of fentanyl overdoses in 2021. This is not the only public health crisis in America caused by China; Chinese companies are also marketing flavored disposable vapes to American children, which dominate the market and are highly addictive. The true facts of the incident may be revealed by security camera footage covering the route of the two-hour "chase".

Forbes: Innovative Solutions For Food Waste Handling At The Food Service Level
Food waste is a major challenge at the food service level, with discard ending up in landfills and generating methane. Programs like Feeding San Diego collect unsold food to feed the hungry, but composting has drawbacks such as potential odor and pest issues. Innovative solutions include dehydration technology, which uses bio-dehydration to reduce waste volume, and enzymatic breakdown using a warm, oxygen-rich environment with microorganisms that digest waste into easily drainable "grey water". WinCup offers sustainable disposable containers and implements, including Phade® straws made with certified compostable biopolymer PHA.
