Fox News: Mississippi Gov Tate Reeves sends National Guard to US-Mexico border: ‘Every state has become a border state’
Mississippi mobilizes National Guard to help with security at the US-Mexico border as drugs and illegal aliens pour into the country under the Biden administration. Governor Reeves blames President Biden for the crisis and says that every state in America is being affected by the mounting emergencies.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is also sending over 1,100 National Guard soldiers and law enforcement officers to Texas to help with security at the southern border. The border is seeing a surge in migrant crossings before the pandemic-related restrictions expire, and Border Patrol agents have already encountered 16 people on the FBI's terror watch list attempting to enter the US illegally.

Breitbart: Dem Rep. Correa: Immigration 'Not About a Number at the Border' -- It's About Fixing 'Economies Around the World'
Rep. Correa (D-CA) discusses the current state of the southern border, stating that it's not just about the number of encounters, but rather about figuring out how to improve economies around the world so that people can earn a living and stay home. He acknowledges that the U.S. is currently the only economy doing well and that it's natural for people to try to come here, but also notes that other countries are struggling with the same issue.
Fox News: Minneapolis City Council candidate says he doesn't condone violence days after chaos at Democratic convention
Chaos erupted at a Democratic nominating convention in Minneapolis after Aisha Chughtai's supporters took the stage. Nasri Warsame, a Somali immigrant running against Chughtai, said he does not condone violence and his supporters were victims of racism. The convention broke up with no endorsement, and Democratic leaders are holding an emergency meeting to determine if rules need to change.
Fox News: FBI whistleblowers say pro-life groups, Catholics were 'target of the government': Jordan
FBI whistleblowers reveal that pro-life groups, Catholics, and parents attending school board meetings were targeted by the FBI as part of an effort to make them seem like domestic terrorism threats. According to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, the FBI's Washington, D.C., office pushed an agenda that pressured the rest of the organization toward a political goal. Rep. Matt Gaetz also revealed that the Washington, D.C., field office is the source of much of the "rot" within the organization. The FBI has not yet provided a comment on these allegations.
Three FBI whistleblowers are scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, detailing the backlash they faced after speaking out about the FBI's targeting of various groups. The allegations include claims that the FBI's Washington, D.C., office pressured the organization toward political goals, and that other field offices were pressured to engage in law enforcement work without predication. The FBI has not responded to these allegations.
The Blaze: Unhinged leftist Keith Olbermann faces bipartisan scorn after demanding that Jake Tapper resign over admission Durham report is 'devastating to the FBI'
Keith Olbermann demands Jake Tapper resign for stating that the recent Durham report is "devastating to the FBI" in terms of credibility. Olbermann, who continues to push the debunked Russian-collusion narrative, has faced criticism from various Twitter users, including investigative reporter Matt Taibbi, who cited instances of Olbermann promoting falsehoods on his now-defunct GQ show and questioned which parts of the report he thinks are incorrect. The Durham report found that the FBI investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign was baseless and confirmed that the FBI failed to uphold its mission of strict fidelity to the law.
Red State: Let the Brawl Begin: Multiple Source Reveal When DeSantis Will Formally Announce Presidential Run
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to announce his presidential candidacy for 2024 next week. This move follows advice from DeSantis' advisors and Republican donors, urging him to respond to personal attacks from former President Trump. The popular governor has been positioning himself as a younger, more vibrant and steadier option, free of Trump's legal dramas. A new political PAC, "Never Back Down," is actively supporting DeSantis and has been running TV ads championing his successes. While both he and Trump give no quarter to the left-wing media, DeSantis has taken a more disciplined, fact-driven approach, without the unforced errors of Trump, and lacking his baggage.
The Federalist: The Durham Report's Tacit Warning: Self-Government Is In Peril
The Durham report warns of a corrupt elite, including the FBI and CIA, with unfaithful hearts and minds and a disregard for constitutional principles. The abuse of power presented in the report is a threat to the republic and a warning of the fate of the country. The rot goes deeper than just a handful of bad apples in the federal intelligence agencies, and moral corruption can only be fixed by a spiritual renewal in America, with a return to civic culture guided by Christian moral virtue.
PJ Media: Joe Biden, the Habitual Racialist Demagogue
President Joe Biden's approval rating has hit a historic low of 36%, largely due to his destruction of the inheritance he received from his predecessor. He has begged foreign governments to pump oil, spiked inflation to the highest rate in 40 years, nearly doubled gas prices and sparked the greatest humiliation of the US military in the last 50 years. Biden's family is also under investigation for corruption and he habitually smears half the country as fascists and extremists.
The Federalist Papers: Maricopa County Whistleblower Reveals Problems Found on Ballots During Curing: 'How Did This Happen?'
A whistleblower testified in Arizona Republican Kari Lake's election challenge trial about problematic practices during the mail-in ballot voter verification process. The whistleblower claimed Maricopa County officials rejected offers to cure signatures and sent Level 1 reviewers home early, leaving ballots being tallied without observers on hand. The whistleblower also noted that major discrepancies in signatures were caught and reported to supervisors.
Daily Wire: The Worst Political Scandal In American History?
Special Counsel John Durham's report on the origins of Operation Crossfire Hurricane revealed that the Trump-Russia investigation was initiated based on sheer conjecture trafficked by Hillary Clinton's campaign. The investigation was given the green light by top FBI officials, including Trump-hater Peter Strzok, before any critical analysis of the information was conducted. The investigation was based on flimsy information provided by Australian diplomats and the Steele Dossier, a compendium of lies created by Fusion GPS at the behest of the Clinton campaign. The collusion is worse than Watergate and implicates high officials in the weaponization of the government to stop Donald Trump.
Red State: Adidas Begs to be Boycotted With Insanely Woke 'Pride Month' Ad Campaign That Even Marginalizes Gay People
Adidas offends gay people with pride campaign using biological male models for women's swimwear. The company opted to use men with genital bulges over lesbian models for their swimsuit line celebrated for Pride Month. Conversatives should apply Bud Light energy to Adidas in response. +
National Review: FBI Retaliated against Employees Who Voiced Concern about Politicization, House Panels Say
Whistleblower testimony claims that the FBI retaliated against employees who spoke out against “politicized rot” within the bureau by suspending the employees or revoking their security clearances. The FBI is “broken” under the leadership of FBI director Christopher Wray and attorney general Merrick Garland, with leadership at the FBI and DOJ having “weaponized federal law enforcement against everyday Americans, seeking to silence those who dare to have a different viewpoint.” There are claims the FBI is “currently engaging in a ‘purge’ of agents who hold conservative beliefs.”
The Epoch Times: US Treasury Cash Balance Shrinks to Alarming Levels Amid Debt Ceiling Battle
The U.S. Treasury's bank account at the Federal Reserve is rapidly shrinking, down 40% since May 12, to $87.4bn on May 16, its lowest level since April 12. The Treasury plans to use the account's funds to cover the debt servicing on government bonds, though some fear there may not be sufficient funds to do so, potentially resulting in the U.S. defaulting on obligations. However, there’s hope that the account will be replenished in mid-June, when tax payments start to flow into the Treasury General Account. The government has already reached its debt limit of $31.4tn, and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has warned the actual date of the U.S. default could be early June, and called on Congress to act immediately to raise or suspend the debt limit.
Leaders have said that the U.S. will not default on its debt, including House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, however, the timeline is tight. Talks between Republicans and Democrats are ongoing and moving forward, with President Joe Biden returning from the G-7 summit early to reach a conclusion. House GOP leaders have presented provisions to raise the debt ceiling, including rescinding unspent COVID-19 relief funds, capping spending through the remainder of Biden's term, reforming permitting rules to increase energy production, and imposing work requirements to access federal aid programs. Democrats are pushing back against some of these proposals. Talks continue with no resolution in sight.
Townhall: Jim Jordan, Mike Turner Raise Possibility of Subpoenaing CIA Over Letter on Hunter Biden Laptop
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner are warning CIA Director William Burns that they could subpoena the CIA if they do not receive further information about the Hunter Biden laptop story by May 30th. They are specifically requesting documents in the CIA's possession relating to a statement about Hunter Biden that was circulated by former intelligence community officials claiming that the story about his abandoned laptop was "Russian disinformation" just prior to the 2020 presidential election. The committees have received evidence that the CIA may have helped to solicit signatories for this statement, indicating that the CIA played a role in discrediting allegations surrounding the Biden family.
Liberty Nation: AOC Radicalism Should Have DNC Smiling
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's political action committee funds radical environmental groups that have engaged in disruptive protests. This includes groups that have vandalized cultural treasures of Western civilization, such as a group that threw tomato soup on a Van Gogh painting in the UK. Additionally, a former AOC aide is now a leader of the New York Communist Party. However, despite AOC's supposed progressive politics, she has been criticized for being ineffective and failing to use her power to push the Democratic establishment to the left.
Newsbusters: NY Mag Editor-at-Large Kara Swisher Claimed Musk Has ‘God Complex’ for Criticizing … Soros?
MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle and Kara Swisher of New York Magazine don't understand free speech or who George Soros is. They attacked Elon Musk for promoting freedom of speech and criticized his criticism of Soros’ attempts to “erode the fabric of civilization.” Swisher accused Musk of having a “god complex” while Soros openly admitted to his own “exaggerated view” of his “self-importance.” Soros’ “god” complex is reflected in the fortunes he’s spent manipulating media and politics around the world to fit his distorted view of an “open society.”
Townhall: Let's Revisit These Democrats' Outrageous Claims About the Russian Collusion Hoax
The FBI and intelligence community launched a political circus to derail President Trump with claims of Russian collusion, but there is zero evidence. The Special Counsel's report is damning, but no one will face justice. Members of the Democratic Party pushed the lies, including Pelosi and Nadler.

The Epoch Times: The Transgressive Road to Slavery
Transgression is the new doctrine of left-wing America, where personal autonomy is valued above tradition and order. This philosophy involves the rejection of all norms, and it explains the moral decay and perversive libertinism of modernity. The only standard of transgressivism is authenticity, and anything that impedes on the self must be cast down. As long as no one is harmed, nothing can be wrong. This individualism originates from hyper-individualism, where self became sovereign, superior to all else and each individual became their own standard of perfection. This thinking leads to animalism and the destiny for harsh control, as surrendering to base desires achieves a false sense of freedom.
The Economist: The missing ingredient in Britain’s new law on tenants’ rights
Britain's Renters’ (Reform) Bill aims to clarify the rights of tenants and ban "no fault" evictions, but critics fear it could reduce the supply of rental properties. However, debates over the bill's drafting overlook the problem of poorly enforced existing housing laws, leading to illegal evictions and disrepair in homes. With low conviction rates and a lack of transparency in the sector, the penalties faced by offenders are minimal, making proper enforcement essential to address these concerns.

Forbes: Bad Omen For Home Furnishings As Berkshire Hathaway Dumps Its RH Stock
Berkshire Hathaway sold all its shares in home furnishings company RH ahead of its Q1 2023 earnings report. Warren Buffet began acquiring RH stock in Q3 2019 when it was trading for under $200, and Berkshire Hathaway sold its 2.36 million shares in RH earlier this week. Riding the pandemic boom that saw home furnishings sales skyrocket, RH's value peaked in August 2021 at around $770, but then started to fall, ending 2022 at $267 and now trading just under $260. This is taken as a negative for the long-term narrative which RH has attempted to adopt under Gary Friedman.
RH is seen as a canary in the coal mine for the home furnishings retail market. It has faced headwinds as the data points to business in its sector getting worse before it gets better. Despite this RH is standing firm on its strategic positioning of “the first fully integrated luxury home brand in the world,” by offering more services and elevating prices and design to attract the most discerning affluent customers. Buffett’s decision to sell all its shares in RH is seen as a negative omen for the entire home products and services industry, it suggests that any company in the industry will face tough times ahead.
The Epoch Times: BT to Cut up to 55,000 Jobs by 2030 Amid Shift to AI
BT Group, the UK's biggest broadband and mobile provider, plans to cut up to 55,000 jobs, more than 40% of its workforce, by 2030 as part of a shift to artificial intelligence and automated services. The Economist: Want to be a nun? You need to pass these tests
The Catholic church in Britain is using psychometric tests to screen applicants for religious and holy orders, requiring three days' worth of psychiatric interviews and tests. The tests are designed to select individuals who can cope with the demands of a life of service and celibacy, after recognising that a life of celibate solitude and prayer can test even the sturdiest mental constitutions. While the decision to introduce psychometric testing was partly an attempt to screen out potential abusers, the broader vision was to select healthy priests.
The church has acknowledged that there can be a fine line between extreme religiosity and psychopathology, and the tests aim to identify if applicants may possess any underlying psychological issues. The rules that have guided monastic life for centuries, while offering guidance, can hint at their own inefficacy, and demonstrate behaviour that has strayed from social norms from monks who have been spent decades in solitude behind monastery walls. Rather than normality, the religious life should be measured by joy, according to Father Timothy Radcliffe, a Dominican friar, since those who enjoy it have "discovered the deepest happiness".

The Epoch Times: Cannabis Legalization Has Contributed to 13-Year-Olds' Consumption, Federal Research Finds
Legalization of recreational cannabis in Canada has contributed to youth as young as 13 being introduced to the substance. Research contracted by the Department of Health found making marijuana more accessible has normalized cannabis use and induced consumption among youth, contributing to significant health risks during adolescence such as interfering with brain development. Cannabis consumption by youth is highest in Canada and was identified as a coping mechanism primarily for mental health problems. Youth perceived consuming cannabis as having positive health implications, despite its harmful effects on young users. This information falls under the category.
Spectator USA: One government agency is undermining Biden’s cancer moonshot
The FTC, led by Lina Khan, is blocking a merger between Illumina and Grail that could save up to 100,000 lives a year, which could complicate Joe Biden's promise to cure cancer. Grail's early detection technology helps prevent cancer, which is a crucial way to "cure cancer" as promised by Biden. However, Khan's hostility towards Big Tech and Big Cancer Detection Screenings is halting the merger, leading many to believe that she's dug in. Meanwhile, Chinese companies like Singlera Genomics are dominating the market as they're more than willing to fill the void and collect sensitive health data.

The Epoch Times: Is Self-Defense Becoming Illegal?
Former Marine Daniel Penny is facing a manslaughter charge after allegedly killing Jordan Neely, a homeless man who had a criminal record and a history of threatening others. The incident, which initially saw Penny intervene to restrain Neely during a subway altercation before Neely lost consciousness, has since escalated to become a battleground for issues concerning race, self-defense, and the role of law enforcement. Activists from various sides have staged protests, while politicians including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Eric Adams have weighed in on the controversy. Meanwhile, some in the debate, such as Kid Rock, have championed Penny as a hero and highlighted the need for individuals to defend themselves due to a lack of law enforcement support.

Fox News: First Lady Jill Biden visits Alaska to promote Internet for All initiative
First Lady Jill Biden and Interior Secretary Deb Haaland visited Bethel, Alaska to promote the Internet for All initiative, providing $65 million in federal funds to improve broadband access. The Economist: Aboard Britain’s first commercial self-driving bus
Britain's first commercial self-driving bus, run by Stagecoach and equipped with AI technology developed by Fusion Processing, is now running a trial between Ferrytoll Park and Ride and Edinburgh, with hopes that the buses can eventually be driven from a control room instead of requiring human drivers. However, inadequate UK transport laws mean that there must be a human driver present in the cab and, as yet, there is no timetable for the introduction of a comprehensive legal framework for autonomous vehicles in the country. A safety charity has warned that unexpected obstacles on the road could pose a challenge to the development of self-driving technology.
Forbes: Stop Serving Dogfood, Invest In Generative Artificial Intelligence With Purpose
Businesses are rushing to implement Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI), but caution is needed to not distract from what needs attention and to maintain credibility. ActiveCampaign is implementing GAI in a responsible way that serves their business model and customers by allowing users to iterate on their AI Assistant's output and build their brand with standards. Unlike other tools that provide one-time options with no feedback, users can generate three options to choose from and refine with specific feedback until they get the version that suits their campaign. AI must not mean "Act Immediately" and businesses must focus on sustainable growth opportunities that serve long-term goals and meet customer needs.

PJ Media: WaPo Reporter Blames Fetterman’s Office for Fake Quote...But...
Senator John Fetterman questioned the former CEO of Silicon Valley Bank, but the Washington Post's Jeff Stein tweeted fake quotes of Fetterman's interrogation, which ultimately compelled him to delete the tweet. Stein later tweeted that the inaccuracy of the quote was his fault and that some of the words in the quote were inaccurate. Fetterman's office posted a video of the exchange on Twitter, showing that their version of what Fetterman intended to say did not match the quote provided by Fetterman's office on the video.
Forbes: Teams Trying To Look Productive? Ask Them To Do This Instead
Almost half of workers spend more than 10 hours per week trying to "look productive" instead of completing valuable tasks, according to Visier. This can include responding too quickly to non-urgent emails, attending non-essential meetings and conducting excessive research. To address this issue, leaders should ask teams to identify behaviours that prevent their organisations from reaching their full potential, and to come up with solutions that promote productivity. These solutions can then be shared to promote transparency across the business.
