Not a Lie: Embattled Rep. George Santos Calls Out CCP Infiltration, Crime Crisis
Controversial congressman George Santos criticized the Democrat-facilitated crime crisis in America and accused the Chinese Communist Party of infiltrating U.S. institutions and government, insisting that they are achieving their goal. Santos has been criticized for his lies and half-truths, but recently called out rising crime facilitated by Democrat policies and the weaponization of the federal government against political opponents. He also highlighted the CCP threat and called for the release of Chinese dissident Miles Guo.

Fox News: Durham report contradicts 'guarantee' from Maxine Waters that Trump colluded with Russia
Durham report contradicts 'guarantee' from Maxine Waters that Trump colluded with Russia
Rep. Maxine Waters' claim that President Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election has been contradicted by Special Counsel John Durham's report on the Trump investigation. The report determined that the investigation had no "actual evidence of collusion" and that the Department of Justice and FBI "failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law" in launching the investigation. Waters introduced legislation to investigate President Trump over collusion claims less than a month after his inauguration and later called for his impeachment.

The Epoch Times: West Virginia Election Officials Say Virginia Correct to Exit ERIC Voter Roll System
West Virginia Election Officials Say Virginia Correct to Exit ERIC Voter Roll System
Virginia’s withdrawal from the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) after Republicans were accused of voter suppression by Democrats has been praised by West Virginia’s top elections official Mac Warner. Warner, along with colleagues Donald Kersey and Chuck Flannery, spoke at a May 15 webinar hosted by the Middle Resolution Policy Foundation. The organization advocates for issues such as voter ID laws, election integrity, school choice, and parental rights in Virginia. The trio spoke about how they improved West Virginia’s election management after leaving ERIC, adding that “no matter what the Republicans do, or the conservatives are going to do, it’s going to be called voter suppression…let’s deal with facts and reality”.

The responsibility for how elections are run falls on the state legislatures, not the executives, said Kersey, who specializes in laws pertaining to maintaining voter lists. Virginia Democrats accused Republicans of engaging in voter suppression by withdrawing from ERIC, a service they claim ensures accurate voter rolls. Andrea Gaines, spokesperson for the Virginia Department of Elections, said that state officials will continue to conduct their own list maintenance practices, including the removal of deceased voters, felons, noncitizens, and mentally incapacitated individuals from the voter rolls. The state also intends to obtain its own subscription to the Limited Access Death Master File from the Social Security Administration and will internally process records of voters who have moved and obtained a driver’s license in a new state.

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Confrontation With Jamaal Bowman: Here’s What Happened
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene accused Rep. Jamaal Bowman of calling her a "white supremacist" and compared it to "calling a person of color the N-word" during a confrontation outside the Capitol Building. Greene, introducing articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, said she "takes great offense" to the label and feels "threatened" by Bowman's "aggressive" mannerisms. Bowman called Greene's comments "reckless and dangerous," saying it put a target on his back. The confrontation occurred during an interview with Rep. George Santos, who faces fraud and money laundering charges.

The Gateway Pundit shared damning evidence of at least one Maricopa County signature verifier simply clicking through signature checks significantly faster than their colleague seated next to them. The defense claimed that the individual was fired after Lake attorneys presented it in court. The Gateway Pundit reported on another video showing the same Maricopa County employee failing to verify signatures and likely approving over 5,600 signatures in about two hours.

Rep. George Santos' Communications Director Resigns After Criticizing Troubled Congressman
Naysa Woomer, communications director for Congressman George Santos, has resigned following an audio recording of her allegedly expressing support for his removal and criticism of the congressman. This follows the recent indictment on charges of fraud, money laundering, and misuse of campaign funds against Santos. Undercover investigative reporting organization O’Keefe Media Group shared the audio recording, in which Woomer called Santos “not a good person.” The call for Santos’ resignation has been deferred to the House Ethics Committee rather than being voted on directly, and Woomer’s reason for resigning remains unclear.

Fox News: Death toll in north Nigeria attack tops 80; 7 suspects arrested
Death toll in north Nigeria attack tops 80; 7 suspects arrested
At least 80 people have been killed and several others are missing as a result of an attack by several gunmen in Plateau state in north central Nigeria. The attack began on Monday and lasted until Tuesday, targeting various remote villages in the Mangu district of Plateau state. Some local residents are accusing herdsmen of coming into conflict with farmers over limited access to land and water. Police have confirmed that seven suspects have been arrested so far.

The security crisis in northern and central regions of the country is hampering Nigeria’s development in spite of it being the largest economy and one of the top oil producers in Africa. The attacks mostly take place in remote regions where security personnel are outnumbered and outgunned. The conflict pits the current and former pastoralists from the Fulani tribe against the farmers who accuse the former of destroying their plantations with their cattle. The violence moved away from strict religious and ideological differences and is mostly structured around competition amongst agrarian and pastoralist communities over resources.

The Right Scoop: Section 230 still lives after Supreme Court says Twitter not liable for ISIS content
Section 230 still lives after Supreme Court says Twitter not liable for ISIS content
The Supreme Court ruled that Twitter, Facebook, and Google cannot be held liable for allowing ISIS to use their platforms for terrorism. The lawsuit seeking to hold them accountable for aiding and abetting international terrorism was dismissed, as the family of a Jordanian citizen killed in an ISIS attack on a nightclub in Turkey failed to make a specific correlation of Twitter's use by ISIS and the attack. The ruling sidestepped a major decision on Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which shields tech companies from liability for user-generated content.

Fox News: Chip Roy slams Air Force LGBTQ+ Pride Month celebration, says GOP should take drastic action against military
Chip Roy slams Air Force LGBTQ+ Pride Month celebration, says GOP should take drastic action against military
Rep. Chip Roy called on Republicans to withdraw support for a military funding bill after obtaining an Air Force memo stating that June would be LGBTQ+ Pride Month. The memo approves the observance of Pride Month and allows installation commanders to organize events honoring it. The flyer shows advertising different events that will take place at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, including panel discussions and game nights. Rep. Roy ridiculed the event and lambasted the Defense Department for encouraging pro-LGBTQ+ events with taxpayer dollars. Republicans should consider withdrawing their support for the National Defense Authorization Act.

Education Department warns against schools encouraging private prayer, other religious activity
The Biden administration released new guidance on prayer and religious expression in public schools. The guidance states that while school employees may engage in private prayer during the workday, they cannot compel or encourage students to participate in their religious activity. It also emphasizes that schools cannot mandate or organize prayer at graduation or select speakers in a way that favors religious speech such as prayer. The Biden administration's move was praised by groups such as American Atheists for protecting the religious freedom of families and limiting the role of religion in schools.

Johnny Depp reflects on his tumultuous year, including his libel trial with ex-wife Amber Heard and subsequent rise back to the top, as he attends the Cannes Film Festival to promote his new movie, "Jeanne du Barry." Depp opens up about hitting "the bottom" during the trial, finding it hard to believe that he has made such a comeback. He also shares his thoughts on Hollywood scandals, citing his late friend and mentor Hunter S. Thompson's phrase, "Buy the ticket, take the ride," as a source of inspiration.

Depp was ultimately awarded $10.35 million in damages after winning his defamation suit against Heard, who had counter-sued for $100 million. Despite the difficulty of the trial, Depp says he learned a lot about himself and did not regret being "taken down a strange road" during that period. In addition to reflecting on his personal struggles, Depp also discusses his latest film, in which he portrays King Louis XV.

Texas Legislature Votes to End Gender Mutilation of Children - The New American
Texas has passed a bill banning minors from undergoing gender reassignment surgeries and hormone treatments, becoming the largest state by far to do so. Previously, Governor Greg Abbott had ordered the state’s Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate such procedures, calling them “abusive”. The final version of the bill, which will take effect from September 1, does include exemptions to allow children already undergoing such procedures to be “weaned off” of them in a “medically appropriate” way. LGBT activists, including the ACLU, have vowed to contest the legislation legally.

Smith made the comments on the "Old Man & the Three" podcast, but Karl responded on Twitter, saying Smith was probably smoking weed when they practiced the plays. Karl disagrees with Smith's remarks.
