National Review: While Biden Dithers, House Republicans Plan to Secure Our Border
While Biden Dithers, House Republicans Plan to Secure Our Border
House Republicans have passed H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act of 2023, to restore sanctity, safety, and security at the border, combatting the chaos caused by the expiration of Title 42, a public health measure that expelled those who attempted to enter the US illegally. Over 5 million encounters and 1.4 million “gotaways” have been recorded over President Biden’s time in office, including almost 200 known and suspected terrorists, a humanitarian crisis and a danger to national security. H.R. 2 will force the Biden administration to take action, including implementing the border wall, deploying technology improvements, increasing the number of Border Patrol agents and bonuses, ending catch-and-release policies, and combating human trafficking.

Forbes: Supreme Court Protects Twitter And YouTube From Liability For Terrorist Content
Supreme Court Protects Twitter And YouTube From Liability For Terrorist Content
The Supreme Court ruled that Google and Twitter are not legally responsible for terrorist attacks, protecting them from claims that they gave terrorist groups a platform. In a unanimous decision, the court said that the plaintiffs’ allegations were "insufficient" in proving that the social media companies “intentionally provided any substantial aid” to terrorists. Twitter’s link to the Istanbul attack was “tenuous” and the court argued that social media companies shouldn’t be held more responsible than other technologies. The decision also allowed the court to avoid a similar case regarding Google-owned YouTube.

National Review: The Corner: Biden Is Smart to Forfeit the New Hampshire Primary
The Corner: Biden Is Smart to Forfeit the New Hampshire Primary
New Hampshire threatens to remove Joe Biden from the ballot if the Democratic National Committee does not back down from promoting South Carolina in the 2024 primary elections. Biden's team is likely to move on from New Hampshire to avoid a weak showing in the primary, considering that the state's voters are crucial in setting the elections' tone. Biden's decision to avoid New Hampshire, a state that he won once, spares him the embarrassment of losing again and allows for a campaign delay, giving the team enough time to stage-manage his public appearances.

House Passes Resolution Denouncing Defund the Police Movement
The U.S. House of Representatives has approved House Concurrent Resolution 40 expressing gratitude for local law enforcement and calling on states to recognize police officers’ rights to legal counsel when under investigation. The resolution also calls on states to adopt a bill of rights for police and denounces calls by “leftist activists and progressive politicians” to defund or dismantle police. Democrats opposed the resolution as they say it specifies local law enforcement agencies only, which is a slap against federal law enforcement.

Rep. Cori Bush Calls for Reparations as a 'Moral and Legal Obligation'
Democratic Congresswoman Cori Bush has proposed a federal reparations program for black Americans, costing roughly $14 trillion, to address the wealth gap between black and white Americans. Bush's proposal, however, has faced opposition due to the significant cost and the question of who truly owes reparations. In addition, Bush's track record on issues such as defunding the police and her use of campaign funds for private security have drawn criticism.

The Federalist: GOP Demand BLM Extend Comment Period On Public Land Grab
GOP Demand BLM Extend Comment Period On Public Land Grab
Republicans demand extension of comment period on new Bureau of Land Management public lands regulations called the "Conservation and Landscape Health" rule. If implemented, the regulations would undermine the long-standing "multiple use mandate" assigned by Congress and potentially harm rural economies. GOP congressional delegations from Idaho and Wyoming have already demanded more public hearings closer to constituents affected by the proposed regulations. The BLM manages 245 million acres of federal property, more than 90% of which lies in the American West.

‘So Gross And Weird’: Twitter Users Blow Up On Adidas Using Male Model To Sell New Women’s Swimsuit
Adidas faces backlash after using a male model to promote a new women’s swimsuit, with many blasting the move as “disgusting”. A social media influencer tweeted two images of a man wearing the brand’s new women’s “Pride swimsuit”, which gained negative comments about the use of male models. Many users slammed the athletic brand for going “woke” as several social media users said as long as companies continue to embrace radical gender theory, they will stop being consumers. The host of the Sirius XM “The Megyn Kelly Show” opened her podcast on Thursday with the news of Adidas, calling it “disgusting” and saying that “women do not have bulges in their bathing suit."

Senators Tim Scott and Jon Tester conduct a Senate Banking Committee hearing, grilling financial regulators over the Federal Reserve's failure to regulate Silicon Valley Bank, which caused the bank's collapse in March. Speaking at the hearing, Barr, Vice-Chair of the Fed, attributed the incident to the financial regulator's "negligent supervision" and its inability to predict the imminent failure of the Bank. Leftist Hero Noam Chomsky's Financial Ties to Jeffrey Epstein Exposed
Noam Chomsky received $270,000 in funds from Jeffrey Epstein, whom he claims only gave him technical advice. Chomsky further claims that the funds were for distributing money from a previous marriage, and that he did not take any money from Epstein. However, Chomsky's ties to Epstein and his justification of Epstein as having a "clean slate" serve as examples of his tendency to use sophistry to escape accountability.

North Dakota DA reduces murder charge for man accused of running down teen he called a 'Republican extremist'

The man reportedly called the police and told them that the victim was a member of a Republican extremist group who had threatened him. The charges were originally upgraded to murder with a dangerous weapon, however, they have now been reduced to manslaughter. The defendant's attorney claims that there is no evidence of intentional homicide and blames misplaced media hype and community conjecture for distorting the facts.

The Blaze: 'Idiots,' 'fools,' 'jacka**es': Charles Barkley and Shaq slam pundits for defending NBA player Ja Morant's second suspension for brandishing gun
'Idiots,' 'fools,' 'jacka**es': Charles Barkley and Shaq slam pundits for defending NBA player Ja Morant's second suspension for brandishing gun
NBA commentators including Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal criticized those defending NBA player Ja Morant's actions after he was seen brandishing a firearm in two separate videos. Morant was suspended for eight games without pay after the first incident, and all activities after the second incident, pending a full investigation. JJ Redick, a fellow former NBA player, voiced his opinion that the punishment was too severe and questioned why Morant was being punished for not breaking any laws. Barkley and O'Neal argued that NBA players have unwritten and explicitly forbidden rules due to their contracts, which includes not partaking in certain activities such as skiing, skydiving, and riding a motorcycle.
