The Epoch Times: Poilievre Says He Didn't Meet With Special Rapporteur Johnston Due to Trudeau Foundation Links
Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre refused to meet with David Johnston, the special rapporteur on foreign election interference in Canada's 2019 and 2021 federal general elections, due to Johnston’s previous involvement with the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation. Johnston’s special role includes giving the prime minister “independent advice” and making “expert recommendations” based on his investigations into reports of foreign election interference; his findings are due to be shared with all the leaders of recognized parties in the House of Commons by Oct. 31. Poilievre has called for an independent public inquiry into Beijing’s interference and criticized Johnston's appointment by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, calling his role a "fake job."

Activist groups came out against Delaney’s nomination due to his conduct in the Prout case.

A New Hampshire teen must write a 3,000-word essay on racism and do 100 hrs of community service after being found guilty of carving "Blacks stand no chance" and part of "KKK" in a high school bathroom. The 17-year-old was charged with violating 22 civil rights act violations, including carving the graffiti aimed at a Black student. Although the teen denied racially motivated intent, the judge stated that the words were "steeped in race." The teen's attorney argued that the writing was meant as a joke and that two friends had pressured him into writing it.
Fox News: NYC backs off plan to place migrants in school gyms after protests: 'The parents won'
New York City schools will no longer be used as temporary shelters for migrants, as community members and parents have expressed their opposition to the plan. Miguel Chico, a father of two daughters who participated in protests against the plan, explained that "a school gymnasium isn't a place to put these people in." Other school gyms used as shelters are also expected to be shut down soon. The decision to place migrants in public schools has faced outrage from residents in New York City.

The society hopes that its advertising campaign will help to promote its legitimacy.
The New American: Is Censorship Always a Bad Thing?
Conservatives are rallying behind the concept of free speech absolutism in response to leftists suppressing right-wing opinions on media and social media platforms. However, this notion may sound good in theory but not in practice, as some argue that censorship isn't necessarily a bad thing. Historically, the Constitution only prohibits Congress from abridging free speech, leaving room for state legislatures and private entities to use censorship. The idea of absolute free speech may be a tactic for those out of power, but simply giving a platform to controversial topics has had negative consequences in society. The Right may need to consider censorship to keep certain speech from being normalized and promoted in society.

The Epoch Times: China’s 'Shanghai Cooperation Organization' for the Moon
China's creation of the International Lunar Research Station Cooperation Organization (ILRSCO) aims to extend China's influence to the Earth-moon system and compete with the United States' Artemis Accords. Wu Weiren, chief designer of China's Lunar Exploration Program, announced the formation of ILRSCO which will implement dual-use scientific and commercial activities on the moon, largely funded by China, but approved by ILRSCO members. These coalitions and organizations created and led by China tend to produce military cooperation that benefits the security interests of their authoritarian members and detracts from that of democracies.
ILRSCO will provide political support for the CCP’s aggressive territorial grabs on the moon and its introduction of dual-use civil-military capabilities on the moon. China also plans its own satellite constellation for the moon that will provide navigation, surveillance, and potential electronic warfare functions. This can be expected to provide Beijing increased influence and control over the moon’s governance and potentially claim ownership of its resources. To sustain and increase support for Artemis Accords, it is crucial that the United States keeps its schedule of returning astronauts to the moon by 2025, placing a high priority on including astronauts from Artemis partner nations, and refusing to let CCP-initiated wars on Earth diminish funding and support for Russia, the United States, and other democracies on the moon.

Fox News: Wisconsin man charged with stealing $600,000 from online sportsbook accounts
Joseph Garrison, an 18-year-old from Madison, Wisconsin, was charged with hacking, fraud and identity theft for stealing $600,000 from around 1,600 DraftKings accounts. Garrison allegedly accessed approximately 60,000 accounts, and the charges carry penalties of up to 20 years in prison. DraftKings operates in 21 states, but sports gambling is not legal in Wisconsin.
Fox News: New Mexico police arrest 3 suspects in death of woman in disability program
Three suspects have been arrested in the death of a disabled woman in the care of a state-run program in New Mexico. One caregiver has been charged with abuse or neglect resulting in death, while two others face similar charges and false imprisonment. The abuse and injuries sustained were described as horrific, prompting the launch of health and safety checks on thousands of people enrolled in New Mexico's Developmental Disabilities Waiver program.

An 18-year-old New Mexico shooter killed three elderly women before getting shot by the police. His home was found to have a large cache of weapons and ammunition, only one of which belonged to him. The shooter used various weapons, including an AR-15 rifle, to fire at least 176 rounds from the front porch area of his home and at vehicles passing by on the street.

Two big Cantabrian brown bears fight in a cliff-side battle, with a male bear trying to approach a cub and the mother bear fighting the male. The bears tumble off the precipice, with one hitting the ground and rolling hundreds of feet down the mountainside. Male bears are known to kill cubs that are not theirs, but it ended poorly for all the bears involved. The authorities found the 478-pound boar dead at the scene of the incident and left food and water to aid the recovery of the mother bear and her cubs, but tragically, the bears were eventually found dead in the cave in September.
