‘She Ain’t Worth It’: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Intervenes In Verbal Confrontation Between Marjorie Taylor Greene And Jamaal Bowman
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez intervened in a heated argument between Reps. Jamaal Bowman and Marjorie Taylor Greene, telling Bowman it wasn't "worth it" to continue arguing. The exchange occurred outside the Capitol building and was captured on video by a reporter. Bowman demanded that Greene be expelled and said the Republican party was "hanging by a thread," while Greene countered with calls for Biden's impeachment and saving the country. Ocasio-Cortez ultimately convinced Bowman to stop arguing with Greene and save their energy for more important issues.

National Review: The Corner: Tim Scott on the 2020 Election
The Corner: Tim Scott on the 2020 Election
Only one Republican candidate has gone on record about whether Trump lost the 2020 election: Tim Scott. Scott voted to count every Biden elector in every disputed state, stating that no evidence had been found to indicate the election results should be overturned. Other candidates, unless Chris Sununu enters the race, have not had to go on record. This could create a challenge for them in the upcoming primary debates, as the question of Trump's loss in the 2020 election is likely to come up.

Progressive Pro-Lifer's Mom Gets A Home Visit From FBI Karens
Two FBI agents visited the mother of Elise Ketch, a member of the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU), inquiring about her whereabouts, but reportedly gave no indication as to what the investigation was about. Ketch believes she may have been targeted due to her pro-life activism or as part of an attempt to investigate her colleague, Lauren Handy, indicted under the FACE Act. PAAU has become prominent for protest tactics that are different from conventional pro-life demonstrations. The FBI's investigation highlights how the DOJ has been weaponizing the FACE Act against pro-life activists since the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

National Review: The Corner: A Strange Time to Complain about Revenue
The Corner: A Strange Time to Complain about Revenue
Senator Elizabeth Warren calls for higher revenues to reduce national debt but fails to acknowledge that federal revenue reached an all-time high last year. Federal revenue increased from $4.05 trillion to $4.9 trillion between 2015 and 2022 as a percentage of GDP increased from 18 percent to 20 percent. If record-high revenue, equal to one-fifth of the U.S. economy, is not enough for Warren’s policies, it’s her responsibility to justify why taxpayers should be giving even more to the IRS.

GOP Introduces Resolution to Expel Adam Schiff From Congress
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) introduced a resolution to expel Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) from Congress for pushing the narrative of former president Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia. Luna accuses Schiff of using his position on the House Intelligence Committee to push a lie that cost taxpayers millions of dollars and abused public trust, making him unfit for office. Schiff was the leading voice among Democrats claiming that Trump’s campaign conspired with the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election, but the special counsel investigation found no evidence to support this claim. Schiff remains defiant and insists that there was collusion, while Luna is calling for an ethics investigation.

The United Nations also celebrated the day, but did not mention "interphobia." Whoopi Goldberg doubts Harry and Meghan's account of paparazzi car chase: 'It just doesn't work in New York'
Whoopi Goldberg was skeptical of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's claim of a "near-catastrophic car chase" in New York City. Mayor Eric Adams also found it hard to believe that there was a two-hour high-speed chase, and even the taxi driver for the couple said that the paparazzi were keeping their distance. Critics suggest that the wording of the spokesperson's comments may have led to the backlash, as the expression "car chase" called to mind the sort of dangerous chases seen in movies and television. The couple's exploits have dominated headlines over the past few years as they stepped away from being working royals in 2020 and made critical remarks about the Royal Family.

The Epoch Times: US Should Strengthen Relationships With Allies to Counter China: Expert
US Should Strengthen Relationships With Allies to Counter China: Expert
The National Bureau of Asian Research president, Roy Kamphausen, has urged the US to build stronger relationships with allies and partners in order to counter China. He highlighted the Australia-UK-US navy deal, which will deepen existing ties and create new military partnerships, as a key example. Japan's doubling of its defence budget and the signing of the Washington Declaration between the US and South Korea regarding nuclear consultation were also noted. Kamphausen said mounting assertiveness had been seen among regional allies in pushing back against pressure from China, with Australia and Japan standing out particularly.

Growing tensions between the US and China in the Indo-Pacific region were predicted by Kamphausen, who called for the US and allies to proactively stand against the threat of China. He said China plays the power game and leverages its strengths, especially against weaker countries. The ideological clash between democracy and socialism was cited as a contributing factor to the tension.

China’s Unconventional War Strategies
Retired Marine Col. Grant Newsham warns about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) strategy for unrestricted warfare, detailing the ongoing deployment of techniques against the United States, its plans for expansion in the Pacific and in the world, and Chinese vulnerabilities. Newsham warns that the Chinese want to seize Taiwan and they have built up a military that is capable of doing it, but they also need to ensure that the Americans are kept at bay. He warns that Asia and other countries will turn red if the United States fails to keep Taiwan free. Newsham suggests applying pressure through the convertible currency, U.S. dollars as the Chinese government is absolutely dependent on it which is being used to build their economy, their military, and the so-called comprehensive national power.

Advocacy Group Launches Ad Telling Biden to Compromise on Debt Ceiling
American Action Network tells President Biden to avoid default and “compromise” with Republicans. The ad campaign, backed by $250,000, will run heavily on cable on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News in Washington, DC, and nationally on digital platforms. It highlights House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the work done by the House Republicans to pass legislation to raise the debt ceiling.

The House Republicans passed legislation to raise the debt ceiling last month and the Democrat-controlled Senate has yet to vote on the legislation. The legislation would raise the debt ceiling by $1.5 trillion while tackling America’s national deficit, saving the government an estimated $4.8 trillion over the next ten years. Additionally, Biden had refused to meet with McCarthy to discuss the House Republicans’ plan until recently.

Age of ‘Massive’ House Price Rises May Be Nearing an End: Government Economist
A senior economist from the UK's Office for Budget Responsibility has said that remote working due to the COVID-19 pandemic will lead to less upward pressure on residential property prices. Slowing population growth and rising borrowing costs are additional factors that will make runaway house price growth less likely. House prices have risen faster in the UK than many similar countries due to house building failing to keep pace with population growth. Upward pressure on prices is likely to ease in the coming years as interest rates rise and birth rates decline. Recent HM Revenue and Customs figures show a slowdown in house sales, with falling house prices expected over the course of this year, according to Halifax.

The Epoch Times: Desperate Times
Desperate Times
Desperation and despair may seem like synonyms for hopelessness, but there is a distinction between the two. Despair is the complete loss of hope, while desperation is the absence of hope but with a sliver of hope in one's heart. Winston Churchill and the British people during World War II are an example of fighting on in desperation despite seemingly insurmountable odds. When we feel at our wit's end, we must never give way to despair and instead view the situation objectively, accept defeat if necessary, and emerge with some shred of hope intact.

The Federalist: Whistleblowers Expose FBI Corruption And Political Persecution
Whistleblowers Expose FBI Corruption And Political Persecution
Whistleblowers accused the FBI of various forms of corruption during a recent House committee hearing, including manipulation of statistics, targeting political opponents and mistreating whistleblowers who sought to expose the agency's misconduct. The allegations emerged shortly after U.S. Attorney John Durham revealed that the FBI had no evidence to support its Crossfire Hurricane investigation into President Donald Trump's supposed collusion with Russia. During the hearing, former FBI agent Steve Friend detailed the corruption he witnessed while working on probes related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, claiming that the FBI used improper rules when conducting the investigations and suggested that agents' actions were attempts to inflate statistics on domestic extremism.

Other whistleblowers gave evidence that the FBI had retaliated against them for exposing malpractice. Former FBI agent Garret O'Boyle said that after he filed a complaint alleging that the FBI was targeting government critics, the agency approved his transfer within the country, but then left him suspended from duty after he had relocated his family across the country. Marcus Allen, who had served as an FBI staff operations specialist, also suffered similar misconduct when he queried the agency's official narrative about the Jan. 6 riot, and was subsequently accused of promoting "conspiratorial views" and of being unreliable. The whistleblowers accused the FBI of politicizing its work and attempting to silence criticism.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle called out by Princess Diana's former bodyguard over alleged car chase
Former bodyguard for Princess Diana Ken Wharfe dismissed claims that the paparazzi were attempting to endanger Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during an alleged car chase in New York City. Wharfe said that the photographers were at worst a nuisance and wouldn't cause the death of anyone. He also suggested that Prince Harry's security team may not have had enough experience in dealing with high levels of interest from the paparazzi. Though New York City Mayor Eric Adams criticized the incident, saying it was "reckless and irresponsible," he found it hard to believe claims of a two-hour, high-speed chase in a city with heavy traffic and pedestrians.

Forbes: San Diego Padres Know May Gray As The Local 9 Tumbles Toward The National League West Cellar
San Diego Padres Know May Gray As The Local 9 Tumbles Toward The National League West Cellar
The San Diego Padres, once touted as the preseason kings of the National League West, have struggled mightily this season, with a 20-24 record putting them in fourth place in their division. Despite spending a franchise-record $250 million this season, the Padres' expensive collection of athletes have been underperforming to the frustration of their fans, who have produced 10 sellouts but are now showering their team with boos. General manager A.J. Preller has been criticised for his inability to construct a winning team despite the size of the Padres' payroll, and the team has been plagued with inconsistency throughout the season.

With just one game separating them from the last-place Colorado Rockies and eight games from the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers, the Padres are in dire need of an upturn in fortunes, with their management and players left scratching their heads as to why the team is performing so poorly. Even the return of an All-Star in Fernando Tatis Jr. following his sentence for cheating failed to turn the team's fortunes around. As the Padres struggle to find form, their chances of moving up the division standings have been dealt a blow by the news that third baseman Manny Machado could be absent for an extended period with a broken hand. The Padres' season has been disappointing thus far, but there are still 118 games remaining for them to get back on track.

The editor-in-chief of Scientific American, Laura Helmuth, has been criticised by evolutionary biologist Dr Colin Wright for arguing that the white-throated sparrow demonstrates the existence of non-binary sex. Wright argued that although the bird has four distinct sex chromosomes, it has just two sexes, each of which is comprised of two colour morphs. Helmuth’s claims have been criticised for being a fallacious non sequitur and for misrepresenting the nature of the bird’s biology. Helmuth made her comments in a tweet.

Top Senate official warns Congress to 'move quickly' on artificial intelligence legislation
The Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, has formed a bipartisan group to create legislation regulating artificial intelligence (AI), citing the need to act quickly as AI technology advances rapidly. Schumer has already held meetings with over 100 experts in the technology field and revealed that a framework for AI regulation legislation had been proposed in April. Concerns have arisen regarding misleading chatbots and the potential loss of jobs. Open AI, the company behind ChatGPT, has proposed a U.S. or global agency to license the most powerful AI systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and strip these licenses if necessary. Schumer is motivated by the need to beat China in their own regulation of AI, expressing that our nation requires a "wake-up call." He stated that if responsibly used, AI could create a tremendous amount of public good, but left unregulated, AI could cause significant harm.

India’s top court allows bull-taming sport to continue despite criticism from animal rights groups
India's Supreme Court ruled to allow the continuation of the bull-taming sport of jallikattu, celebrated as cultural heritage, despite animal rights groups' criticism. The court held that the government had taken sufficient steps to reduce animals' pain and suffering, and that the sport and other bull races could continue. The decision was met with protest by groups including People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, which called the ruling regressive and claimed that at least 104 people and 33 bulls had died since 2017.
