Claims suggest that authorities amplified their inquiries to classify these individuals as violent extremists. Fox News Digital reached out to the FBI for a statement, but received no reply. Three FBI informants were scheduled to testify before a committee hearing in relation to these claims later on Thursday. The FBI, its management, and potential political bias are all coming under intense scrutiny.

The Federalist Papers: Obama Gets Himself Roasted After Sharing What Keeps Him Up at Night: 'Starved for Attention'
Former President Barack Obama is concerned that the media doesn’t speak with a united voice. He lamented that the degree to which we’ve had a divided conversation, in part because we have a divided media, is what keeps him up at night. According to the former president, “one of the goals of the Obama Foundation and one of the goals of my post-presidency is, how do we return to that common conversation?”
Conservative outlets like Fox News and Breitbart have derided Obama’s comments. Jesse Watters said that it was proof Obama was “starved for attention,” while Kellyanne Conway, former campaign manager and adviser to President Donald Trump, dismissed Obama’s remarks. Six years after he left office, Obama is determined not to go quietly. He is starved for attention and wants your attention fixed on his ideas and his belief system at all times.

Fox News: Midwestern states offer suicide prevention training to clergy as farmer’s continue to struggle with depression
Farmers in rural America are struggling with mental health due to factors largely beyond their control, such as unpredictable weather, equipment costs, and global market swings. The stress of losing family farms, which are often seen as a member of the family and a legacy passed on to generations, is leading to an increased risk of suicides. The rate of suicide among male agricultural workers is more than twice the national average, and some states are now offering suicide prevention training to clergy, who are a trusted presence in rural communities. There is a need to break farmers out of their proud reserve and encourage them to seek help, with clergy potential lifesavers when given the right tools to help with compassion and without moral judgment.

This cultural assault is a threat to a society already struggling with morality.

Israel faces its greatest threat since its founding as it is forced to repel attacks from the north, east, and south, perhaps even from the west simultaneously. The Islamic Republic of Iran poses the fiercest ideological threat to Israel, with its elite Quds Force in Lebanon and Syria a constant and growing threat. Iran also funds, arms, and controls several proxy armies that are active in Syria and Lebanon, Gaza, Judea, and Samaria. Turkey is also a growing threat to Israel, having shifted its foreign policy focus to pro-Islamic jihad and anti-Israel in recent years, with its eyes on Israel's vast wealth of oil and natural gas in the eastern Mediterranean.

The Economist: Anoint my caverns with oil
America's Strategic Petroleum Reserve, holding the world's largest stockpile of crude oil, is currently at its lowest level in 40 years, following the largest-ever drawdown last year to stabilize oil markets in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. On May 15th, the Biden administration announced a 3m-barrel purchase for August delivery, but this is just the first step in a long, fraught process. Republicans have raised concerns about the administration's withdrawals, claiming that they were done for political purposes, but the administration has set its target repurchase price well below the 2022 average price. Uncertainties abound about whether to refill the reserve or delay and face criticism for endangering national security, with environmentalists expressing concerns over spending on fossil fuels.
The Trump administration's changes to the Bureau of Land Management are still slowing the energy transition, with the agency previously responsible for balancing conservation and development underfunded and understaffed. Congress is being urged to fund the Bureau, rather than slashing its budget, after the previous administration put in place policies hamstringing the agency’s discretion and removing rules that required land use to be balanced. This has complicated efforts by the current administration to expand renewable energy.
