The Economist: It turns out that Democrats bus migrants, too
Democrats in New York are also transporting migrants seeking asylum across the state, following a precedent set by Texas' Republican governor. In an unexpected turn, migrants from a range of countries are now living in a hotel in the outskirts of Newburgh. Over 60,000 people have arrived in New York since last spring, with most housed in shelters run by the city. New York expects to spend $2.9bn on asylum seekers in the coming year, including the cost of the buses now transporting migrants to the rest of the state. Upstate officials are suing to block the buses, complaining that the state is overtaxed.
Red State: Hispanic Civil Rights Group Issues Florida 'Travel Warning' Over DeSantis's Immigration Crackdown
Hispanic civil rights group LULAC has issued a “travel warning” for illegal aliens visiting Florida following a crackdown on illegal immigration by Governor Ron DeSantis. LULAC branded Florida hostile for visitors without documents and accused politicians of using immigrants as “political piñatas.” The group plans to mobilize Florida residents to vote against racist and xenophobic politicians, and to take “unprecedented action” against DeSantis’ deliberate targeting of immigrants. LULAC also warned the bill could have knock-on effects for Florida’s economy and life-saving medical care. DeSantis has pushed back against criticism of the bill, instead blaming Joe Biden for his refusal to address the problem at the southern border.

Daily Wire: California Democrat Doubles Down On Call For Feinstein To Resign
California Representative Ro Khanna is calling for 89-year-old Senator Dianne Feinstein to step down from her position in the Senate due to her age and recent poor health. Khanna is the first Democrat to call for Feinstein's resignation after she was absent from the Senate for three months due to shingles. Feinstein has been in politics for 53 years but, according to reports, has been “often confused” in recent years. Feinstein has stated that she has not been gone from the Senate during her absence.
Fox News: 117 Democrats vote ‘no’ on bill condemning efforts to defund the police
The House passed a non-binding resolution condemning efforts to defund or abolish the police by a vote of 301-119, with every "no" vote coming from Democrats and 87-117 Democrat votes against the measure. During debate, Democrats bristled at language in the resolution that they felt unfairly characterized leftist activists and progressive politicians. Republicans countered with quotes from Democrats calling for police budget cuts, and pointed out that similar bills in support of law enforcement passed with bipartisan support.
The Blaze: Blinken raises eyebrows with wording of condemnation of 'harmful conversion therapy practices': 'Who's gonna tell him?'
Secretary of State Antony Blinken honored the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia, and Transphobia by calling for an end to conversion therapy practices, which attempt to change a person's sexual orientation, gender identity, or sex characteristics. However, critics pointed out the Biden administration's inconsistency in condemning efforts to transition individuals from one sexual orientation to another while supporting efforts to change their "gender identity" through puberty blockers and sex-change mutilations. Blinken's statement has unwittingly sparked a debate on whether these treatments fall into the camp of "harmful conversion therapies" leftists are otherwise keen to denounce.
Breitbart: Teacher Job Ad Branded 'Racist' for Excluding White Candidates
An ad for a teacher position in Glasgow seeking only black, Asian or minority ethnic candidates has been called "racist" against white people. The advert was posted on the Glasgow City Council's website and was intended to circulate internally. Scottish comedian Leo Kearse criticised the advert, describing it as "woke", while the council claimed it was aimed at providing positive role models for young people. The council defended the ad and said it was legal to recruit based on a "protected characteristic that is underrepresented in the workforce". The anti-white attitude is not unique, with the first minister of the country having previously complained about the number of white people in top jobs.
The Epoch Times: PM Swerves Recommitment to Lowering Legal Immigration
UK PM Rishi Sunak has refused to recommit to the Conservative party’s pledge to reduce legal immigration levels, blaming inherited figures for the increase under Boris Johnson's leadership. Sunak appeared to focus instead on tackling illegal immigration, such as small boat crossings. The remarks came after an announcement that an extra 10,000 visas for seasonal workers could be made available on top of the 45,000 currently allocated to the agricultural sector, following a farming summit at Downing Street.

PJ Media: The Weird Lies Harry and Meghan Tell
Meghan Markle allegedly called paparazzi to take photos of her hiking, and Prince Harry was denied police protection in England and has to pay for his own. The couple claimed to have been involved in a car incident due to paparazzi chase, but the story fell apart when police weighed in. The photo agency claimed it was Harry and Meghan’s security driving recklessly. Americans are finding out why the British people tired of these two so quickly.

Fox News: British MP compared to Putin for saying traditional marriage 'only possible basis' for 'successful society'
Conservative UK MP Danny Kruger faced criticism after saying that marriage between a man and a woman forms the basis of a healthy society. During a speech at the National Conservatism Conference, he said that "the normative family" is necessary for a safe and successful society, and that marriage is a public act, not just a private arrangement. This drew condemnation from some, including the Conservative Chair of the London Assembly, Andrew Boff, who likened Kruger's comments to those made by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Some Liberal Democrats also spoke out against the remarks.

Euromaidan Press: US resists European push for F-16 transfer to Ukraine
The Biden administration is hesitant to approve the transfer of F-16s to Ukraine due to the high cost and limited war funding. European allies are ready to provide Ukraine with these fighter jets and the UK has announced they will train Ukrainian fighter pilots. There is growing momentum for other countries that fly the F-16 to send their own jets to Ukraine, as the Biden administration remains unconvinced about their necessity. Discussions on this matter are expected to intensify leading up to NATO’s upcoming summit in Vilnius, Lithuania in July.

Washington Free Beacon: Montana Becomes First State To Ban TikTok
Montana has become the first U.S. state to ban Chinese-owned TikTok over alleged intelligence gathering concerns. The legislation, signed by governor Greg Gianforte, will make it illegal for Google and Apple's app stores to offer TikTok in the state, though individuals using the app will not be penalised. The ban is set to take effect on 1 January, 2024, and is expected to face legal challenges. TikTok has denied sharing any data with the Chinese government. Critics of the ban have said it infringes on personal freedom, and that it is unconstitutional.
The Epoch Times: EXPLAINER: Winnipeg Lab Documents – Why Did It Take so Long and What Could They Reveal?
The Canadian government has established an ad-hoc committee of MPs to review documents relating to the firing of Chinese-Canadian scientists at the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg in 2019. The ad-hoc committee will be able to review documents that will be decided by a panel of three former justices before being released to the public. The new development comes after a long battle between the government, who have resisted revealing details, and the House of Commons Canada-China committee, which requested the documents without success. The two scientists, Qiu Xiangguo and Cheng Keding, were never charged with any wrongdoing despite being escorted out of the lab in 2019 amid a police probe, but reports suggest they passed Canadian intellectual property to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.
Breitbart: Sunak Breaks Promise to Ban Communist China's Confucius Institutes
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has broken his promise to ban Confucius Institutes, which are directly funded by the CCP’s propaganda department, from operating in Britain. Despite promising in 2021 to ban Confucius Institutes, Downing Street has decided to backtrack on this pledge. Former Chinese propaganda chief Li Changchun has characterised Confucius Institutes as “an important part of China’s overseas propaganda set-up.”
Confucius Institutes have been accused of shutting down debates on topics deemed politically sensitive for the communist regime, including issues surrounding Tibet, Taiwan, and the Tiananmen Square Massacre. Communist infiltration of British universities has become increasingly concerning, with hundreds of academics accused of working with institutions tied to the Chinese military in developing weapons of “mass destruction”. A multi-branch governmental investigation “established a correlation” between tuition from Chinese students and the amount of technology transferred from British universities to communist partners controlled by Beijing.

Daily Wire: Biden Says Nation Is ‘Making Progress’ On Inflation. Here’s What America Thinks.
Despite President Biden's claims of progress, Gallup surveys show that 61% of Americans are experiencing financial hardship due to recent price increases. An additional 15% say the hardship is severe and affects their standard of living. Lower-income Americans are hit harder by inflation. Meanwhile, inflation rates are still well above 5%, with food, shelter, and other household components remaining costly. The Federal Reserve's target federal funds rate hike aims to lower inflation but may also dampen economic activity, while President Biden faces criticism for his policies' failure to lower inflation to pre-pandemic levels.
The Epoch Times: Europe Approves World’s First Cryptocurrency Regulations
The European Union has approved the world's first set of rules to regulate crypto assets like cryptocurrencies and tokens. The regulation, known as the markets in crypto-assets (MiCA) legislation, aims to curb money laundering activities and protect investors by increasing transparency and creating a comprehensive framework for businesses operating in crypto markets, including compliance with anti-money laundering rules. MiCA was unanimously approved by members of the EU’s Economic and Financial Affairs Council (EcoFin) and is expected to be rolled out from 2024, with firms looking to issue, trade, or safeguard crypto assets in the EU bloc required to secure a license to do so.

He held a top-secret security clearance and has been charged with unauthorized retention and transmission of national defense information and willful retention of classified documents.

The Federalist Papers: All-Out Brawl Breaks Out Between Two Families at Disney After One Refuses to Move for Photo Op
A family took a photo at Disney World, but a fight broke out when one member of a family was asked to move so the other family could take a picture. Video shows the two groups grappling and wrestling in a chaotic scrum, with one person requiring medical treatment. Two participants were removed from the park, and this brawl was not the first of its kind to occur at Disney World, prompting the entertainment giant to introduce a “courtesy advisory” policy at both its Anaheim and Florida parks last year.

The Blaze: Horowitz: The Pentagon’s RESPONSE to the explosive DOD medical data is an even bigger story than the data
The military's epidemiological data reveals a public health and national security crisis in the military, with a massive increase in sickness and injury diagnoses in 2021, particularly in neurological, cardiovascular, oncological, and reproductive health categories. The Pentagon is only concerned with exonerating the vaccine, not fixing its own alleged problem. The DOD's "new" model would erase the existence of COVID off the face of the planet as if we never had the biggest pandemic of our lifetime.

The attacker was convicted for murder and terrorism in January. More than 20 victims and their relatives spoke before U.S. District Judge Vernon Broderick sentenced him to eight consecutive life sentences and an additional 260 years in prison. Saipov claimed his attack was to gain membership of ISIS. The life sentence became automatic after a jury could not decide whether to impose the death penalty.

Spectator USA: The rise of the golf rebels
LIV Golf, an upstart tour challenging golf's establishment, is gaining traction despite criticism over ties to Saudi Arabia's human rights record. LIV is largely funded by Saudi Arabia’s $620 billion Public Investment Fund, and offers huge payouts to top golfers. Critics have dubbed it the Bonesaw Tour, referencing Saudi assassins’ killing and dismembering of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. LIV tournaments are three-day festivals with all the formality of a tailgate party. Team play promotes camaraderie and trash talk. The PGA Tour, which has increased prize money and offerings to compete for players, keeps a wary eye on LIV. Donald Trump, who has been buying up golf courses for over 20 years, including the site of LIV's upcoming event, has praised the tour, despite Trump National Washington's proximity to the White House (if your motorcade is accompanied by sirens) and the tour's ties to Saudi Arabia.

Spoelstra also credited Miami's sustained success to their culture.

Washington Free Beacon: Murderous Syrian Dictator Welcomed at Arab League Summit
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, aided by Iranian and Russian forces, has weathered over 12 years of civil conflict and secured his grip on power, as Arab states that once ostracized him now welcome him back into the Arab League. Western sanctions remain in place, however. Despite initially presenting himself as a modernizing and reformist leader, Assad has presided over a brutal war characterized by the use of chemical weapons, sieges and torture. While he has reclaimed much of Syria, swathes of the country remain outside state control, and the death toll tops 350,000.
The Economist: Congress should fund the BLM (no, not that one)
America's Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is responsible for managing 10% of the country's lands and issuing permits for development on public land. Under President Joe Biden, the bureau is increasingly granting permits for renewable-energy projects with the aim of approving at least 25 gigawatts of solar, wind or geothermal energy on federal lands by 2025. However, staffing shortages and land-use conflicts, including opposition to renewables on public lands, are hindering progress. The bureau has requested more funding from Congress to hire nearly 500 employees, but some agents believe the agency's redemption will happen in the valleys and mountains of the West, rather than in Washington.
