Le Monde: 'Breathless' script unveiled at Cannes
'Breathless' script unveiled at Cannes
The original script of Jean-Luc Godard's 1959 film "Breathless" will be auctioned for the first time at Cannes, showcasing 72 handwritten pages. The film, a hallmark of the French New Wave, tells the story of a fugitive and an American student and was initially banned for viewers under 18.

The manuscript, previously thought to be only 26 pages, includes 29 pages of script and additional dialogue, but only covers the film's first 14 minutes. Some pages may have been lost, as Godard often wrote dialogue on scraps. Sotheby's assures the manuscript is as complete as possible.

Epic Games has launched an AI-powered Darth Vader character in Fortnite, allowing players to interact with him via voice. The character uses Google's Gemini 2.0 Flash model for responses, while the voice of James Earl Jones is generated through ElevenLabs' technology.

Players have discovered ways to prompt Vader to use profanity, with reports of offensive language being repeated. Epic Games states that player interactions are not stored and offers a reporting feature for inappropriate behavior. Players under 13 require parental permission to engage with the character.
