Illegal Alien, Freed into U.S., Convicted of Beheading Patriotic Legal Immigrant Woman
An illegal immigrant from Cuba, Alexi Saborit-Viltres, has been convicted of first-degree murder for beheading a legal immigrant from Cuba, America Mafalda Thayer, with a machete in Minnesota. Saborit-Viltres was released into the US in 2012 from ICE custody, despite being due for deportation, due to a lack of travel documents. Thayer’s 42-year-old son hopes that the conviction will mean Saborit-Viltres is jailed for life.

Mayor Adams claims 50% of NYC hotel rooms are being occupied by migrants, and it's already hurting the economy
Mayor Eric Adams claims that almost 50% of hotel rooms in New York City are being occupied by illegal aliens due to the migrant crisis . However, City Councilwoman Diana Ayala said the math does not add up. Officials estimate about 65,000 migrants have arrived in New York City in recent months and many have been placed in public school gyms, emergency relief shelters, and some homeless shelters. Adams has demanded that the federal government do more to help his administration deal with the crisis at the border.

Fox News: SEAN HANNITY: Democrats like to see America divided
SEAN HANNITY: Democrats like to see America divided
Fox News host Sean Hannity criticizes lawmakers pushing for racial reparations, citing the proposed $14 trillion cost and the fact that this money would come from every American's pocket. He argues that penalizing people based on ethnicity is unfair to those who have no connection to slavery. Hannity views this as a political ploy by Democrats to divide the country on the issue of race.

Some California lawmakers have proposed plans for reparations, including giving $5 million to all 50,000 Black residents of San Francisco and granting exemptions to African-American businesses from paying taxes. Other states, including New York, New Jersey, and Illinois, are developing similar plans. Hannity views this as a way for Democrats to energize their radical base and win elections by vilifying innocent people. Joe Biden recently proclaimed that White supremacy is the greatest terror threat in the world during a speech at Howard University.

Breitbart: Squad Member Cori Bush Introduces Resolution Giving Reparations
Squad Member Cori Bush Introduces Resolution Giving Reparations
Rep. Cori Bush introduces a resolution to provide $14 trillion in federal reparations for black Americans to address the racial wealth gap, citing America's moral obligation for the lasting harm of enslavement of Africans on millions of black people. Although reparations packages have been introduced in the past, they have not passed. A recent poll found that only 28% of Americans support reparations, while 65% oppose cash reparations to the descendants of enslaved black people. While 46% of Democrats favor the idea, 92% of Republicans oppose it. The bill is unlikely to pass, especially as states like California face major budget deficits.

New Minnesota Bill Bans Warehouses From Firing Workers Over Undisclosed Quotas—Latest State Taking Aim At Amazon
Minnesota passed a bill protecting warehouse workers from sanctions if they don't meet undisclosed quotas, requiring written descriptions of quotas and allowing a private right of action if employers violate the rules. The new protections follow similar legislation from New York and California, which also prohibit retaliation against warehouse workers who miss quotas.

'Grow Up!': Megyn Kelly Blasts Harry and Meghan's 'Near Catastrophic' Paparazzi Chase
Megyn Kelly questions the validity of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s claims that they were involved in a “near catastrophic” high-speed car chase with paparazzi in Manhattan. The couple’s account of the chase was disputed by a taxi driver who took them to safety. Kelly also pointed out that it would not be possible to have a two-hour car chase in Manhattan due to the city’s traffic and stoplights. The Sussexs have complained of excessive media scrutiny in the past.

Reality TV To The Rescue? Amid Writers’ Strike, ABC And Fox Lean On Unscripted Shows
The Writers Guild of America strike has prompted ABC and Fox to rely on unscripted TV shows to fill their upcoming slates, following in the footsteps of the 100-day strike from 2007-2008. Fox will be bringing back its extensive cache of reality TV shows such as Hell's Kitchen, The Masked Singer, and LEGO Masters, as well as debuting a new iteration of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Meanwhile, ABC has opted for game shows like Celebrity Jeopardy, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, and Press Your Luck alongside other unscripted efforts.

Fox News: New York Gov. Hochul: Officials trying to find 'welcoming' sites for migrants in NYC, situation 'desperate'
New York Gov. Hochul: Officials trying to find 'welcoming' sites for migrants in NYC, situation 'desperate'
NY Governor Hochul pledges at least $1 billion towards migrant assistance efforts, stating that the state will help the city find "welcoming" sites for migrants as NYC faces an influx of asylum seekers. Hochul says the city is doing a great job of finding places to house them, but they are at capacity, so the state is helping find places that will be welcoming. She asks the Republican majority in Congress to pledge $1 billion to help the city.

NYC is facing criticism over plans to house migrants in unconventional spaces, such as a Brooklyn elementary school gym. Residents are divided over the issue, with some welcoming the migrants while others are concerned about space and resources. Lakeisha Bowers, whose son formerly attended P.S. 188, where migrants are currently being housed, says parents weren't given enough notice and that it hurt the community. Orleans County recently announced a housing crisis and said it did not have the capability to receive or sustain any migrants and/or asylum seekers.

Fox News: Former Google CEO says AI at 'center' of technology competition between US and China
Former Google CEO says AI at 'center' of technology competition between US and China
Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt told Congress that artificial intelligence (AI) is the center of the U.S.-China technology competition. He said China is dedicating enormous resources to outpace the US in AI and other strategic technologies, including quantum cyber, biology, computer science, and new energy. Schmidt said the US must invest in science and technology research and pass technology-focused legislation annually to stay ahead. He also called for addressing the H-1B visa problem to aid innovation. Wednesday's hearing was part of the Select Committee on China, designed to re-examine strategic competition with China.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said there is bipartisan consensus that trusting "Communist China" has ended. The US spent decades passing policies that welcomed China into the global system, but in return, China exported oppression, aggression, and anti-Americanism. McCarthy and others spoke during a hearing aimed at outlining the "pervasive scope of the CCP’s economic espionage in the US." The House voted 365-65 to approve the creation of the Select Committee on China. China leader Xi Jinping’s CCP speech to mark the party's 100th anniversary left experts alarmed about the American press’ coverage of the communist nation.

Pentagon Leak Suspect Repeatedly Warned About Mishandling Classified Records, DOJ Alleges
Air National Guard member Jack Teixeira, accused of leaking classified military documents, was warned multiple times about handling such information, prosecutors allege, just before he heads to one of the most high-profile document leak trials. The Department of Justice stated that his previous warnings for mishandling classified information prove that he understood that he wasn't allowed to share the documents. Teixeira is not considered a low risk, which means he may face up to a 25-year prison sentence.

Teixeira's defense lawyers have advocated for him to be transferred to his father's custody. They claim that he is not a flight risk and that he did not share the classified documents he leaked to become widely available. However, his previous warnings for mishandling classified information and his behavior have raised questions about his release. Initially, he allegedly shared some records on the Ukraine war and other classified information with an instant messaging platform called Discord, which were later shared on Russian-language Telegram channels and social media applications.

NJ Gov. Murphy: We'll Defy SCOTUS 'to Save Lives' if They Rule Against Abortion Pill
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) said that defying a Supreme Court ruling against the abortion pill mifepristone and prescribing it anyway would be considered if lives are at stake. Murphy has taken steps to ensure unencumbered access to the drug, including joining legal action as an amicus matter and considered a bulk acquisition. He believes that the ruling would cost lives, especially of women, and that everything is on the table to save them.

Breitbart: Study: Seven in 10 Abortions Unwanted, Coerced, or Conflicted with Values
Study: Seven in 10 Abortions Unwanted, Coerced, or Conflicted with Values
A new study by the Charlotte Lozier Institute reveals that nearly 70% of women who have had abortions describe their procedures as either unwanted or coerced, while only 33% said they were wanted. The study is based on interviews with 1,000 women between 41 and 45 years old. Those who described their abortion decision as wanted and consistent with their values and preferences were the only group that reported a net gain in positive emotions or mental health benefits. The study’s lead author, David Reardon, emphasized that “only the minority of abortions are freely chosen absent outside pressures.”

The Epoch Times: Scientists Call For Stricter Controls on Tobacco Products
Scientists Call For Stricter Controls on Tobacco Products
The Australian government has banned recreational vaping, calling it the "biggest loophole in Australian healthcare history." University of Queensland Prof. Coral Gartner has called for more equality in the regulation of nicotine vaping products (NVPs) versus tobacco products. Many people are unwilling to comply with regulations around nicotine vaping, and retailers were still continuing to sell the products under the counter, including to children. The new plan, presented by Health Minister Mark Butler, prohibits the importation of non-pharmaceutical NVPs, and they can only be purchased from pharmacies, with a prescription. Only non-disposable vapes can be sold, with a change in packaging, flavours, and volumes with warning labels. $234m has been allotted for various public health campaigns to discourage Australians from vaping and quit the habit.

Nicotine, found in tobacco plants, is known to have negative effects on health, making it difficult for individuals to quit smoking or using other nicotine products. Nicotine increases heart rate, blood pressure, and constricts blood vessels, which can strain the cardiovascular system. It can cause respiratory issues and contribute to oral health problems such as gum disease, tooth discolouration, bad breath, and tooth loss. Nicotine also has adverse effects on fertility, pregnancy, and fetal development as it increases the risk of infertility, miscarriages, premature birth, and low birth weight. Nicotine may also alter the brain's reward system, making individuals more prone to seeking pleasure and becoming dependent on other drugs. There are multiple government-funded resources, such as nicotine replacement therapies (NRTs) and the Quit website, to help Australians quit the use of nicotine products.

Fox News: Yankees coach thinks Blue Jays manager directed 'fat boy' comment at him
Yankees coach thinks Blue Jays manager directed 'fat boy' comment at him
The Toronto Blue Jays' manager, John Schneider, allegedly shouted "Shut up, fat boy" during a heated argument with the New York Yankees on Tuesday night. While no one knew who the insult was aimed at, Yankee fans believe it was directed at assistant hitting coach Brad Wilkerson. Although Wilkerson didn't confirm that he was the target of the insult, he confirmed that there were "a few snickers" from the Yankees following the comment. The back-and-forth jabs between the two teams are thought to stem from the Blue Jays insinuating that Aaron Judge was cheating during Monday night’s Yankees win. The tensions continued throughout the three-game series, with the likelihood of it ending any time soon appearing slim.

Ex-NFL player Alex Smith questions defensive-minded head coaches' ability to develop quarterbacks
Quarterbacks are no longer given time to develop in the NFL. Alex Smith believes a defensive coach is not equipped to develop young quarterbacks like Robert Saleh and the perceived difference in mentality between offensive and defensive coaches may be a factor in Zach Wilson’s struggles. The majority of head coaches in the NFL come from offensive backgrounds. The Jets will focus on Aaron Rodgers in 2023, not developing a young quarterback.

Forbes: How The Miami Heat Can Beat The Boston Celtics
How The Miami Heat Can Beat The Boston Celtics
The Miami Heat are not content with just being the second No. 8 seed to make it this far in the NBA playoffs and are determined to go further. They have a talent disadvantage against Boston, but the Heat's turnovers, 3-pointers and hustle may give them an advantage. Miami is better at creating turnovers, drawing charges and hustling for rebounds and loose balls. They also take a lot of 3-pointers and have been willing to bomb away from deep. Boston has hot shooting, but the Heat may challenge them on the 3-point arc and steal the series from the current favorite to win the title.

He said that legal and artistic challenges would come with making films using AI and deepfake technologies.
