UK Will See One Million More Migrants Before Next Election, Gov Warned
Over one million more migrants are predicted to enter the UK between 2024 and 2025 due to open border policies, according to a leaked internal document from the Home Office. The document predicts that over 700,000 migrants will enter on student visas and a further 320,000 will arrive on visas for skilled workers. Fox News: Joe Manchin abruptly tanks Biden nominee picked to oversee admin's crackdown on gas stoves
Joe Manchin abruptly tanks Biden nominee picked to oversee admin's crackdown on gas stoves
The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee has canceled a vote on Jeff Marootian's nomination, President Biden's choice to oversee energy efficiency regulations, amid concerns about a DOE proposal. The DOE wants new stove efficiency rules, which, while they would only apply to new stoves, are part of the administration-wide effort to eliminate fossil fuels that's caused concern, Committee Chairman Joe Manchin said. The committee was due to advance Marootian's nomination to a full floor vote but has postponed consideration for now.

While Committee Chairman Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., previously supported Jeff Marootian's nomination, the senator has pulled the agenda item to consider Marootian's nomination because of concerns about a DOE proposal for new stove efficiency standards, which have been criticised for being part of an administration-wide effort to eliminate fossil fuels. The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee was due to vote on Marootian's nomination but has now cancelled the vote and said that it'll just consider the 21 other agenda items for now.

Feinstein Sparks More Concerns After She Appears to Deny Reality About Absence From Senate
Senator Dianne Feinstein's return to the Senate has sparked controversy over her health and ability to do her job. When asked about her feelings on her return, Feinstein appeared confused and unaware of her absence due to dealing with shingles. Democrats are pushing for her presence and vote in the Senate to push through their agenda, despite reports of her staff handling most of her responsibilities. Some on the left are calling for her to step down and be replaced by a younger, more leftist candidate, but the current options are reportedly worse than Feinstein.

Wisconsin Assembly set to vote on GOP-authored plan to increase state aid to local governments
The Wisconsin Assembly plans to vote on a GOP-authored plan to raise aid to local governments despite opposition from the Senate and veto threat from Gov. Tony Evers. Changes to the bill are expected to be released before the vote with the goal of increasing funding to counties, cities, towns and villages by $227m over two years, paid for by tapping 20% of the state's 5-cent sales tax, and would only be spent on emergency services, public works and transportation. The bill includes bans on closing businesses for over two weeks, funding cuts to communities that reduce police and firefighters, mandating local approval of land stewardship projects and provisions for sales taxes with voter approval.

GOP, Democrats team up to block China from buying up US farmland
Bipartisan bill aims to stop China and other foreign adversaries from buying U.S. farmland. The bill would prevent Beijing-backed companies from purchasing farmland in sensitive military bases and anywhere else in America. Congressional leaders and lawmakers from both parties have raised concerns about the ownership of U.S. agricultural land by foreign countries as a growing threat as the U.S. deals with high consumer prices and unstable supply chains.

Nolte: Bud Light Sales Continue to Collapse for the CNN of Beers
Sales of Bud Light have decreased by 23.3% compared to last year's sales, with Michelob Ultra and Budweiser also seeing a decline. This fall comes after points of view were expressed that the company's progressive political leanings, which have become exemplified in its advertisements, have cost it, with Pabst Blue Ribbon's and Miller High Life's sales rising. Possible recovery strategies consider redesigns and targeting 'red America' with stereotypical images, as sport, US military and country and western songs are incorporated into adverts. However, Bud Light's association with the left may have caused irreparable brand damage.

Consumer Council Finds Variations in Performance of Adult Diapers, Some Basic Findings
Hong Kong Consumer Council tested adult diapers, incontinence pads, and adult pants to evaluate their absorption capabilities, breathability, hygiene standards, presence of harmful chemicals, and pH levels. The study identified that a few products contained irritant chemicals, which could potentially cause skin allergies with prolonged use. Consumers must consider the user's health condition when purchasing and manufacturers should ensure safety standards.

The Council recommends selecting products based on the individual's incontinence level. High breathability and fast absorption pull-up pants are recommended for individuals with moderate to severe incontinence who can walk independently or with assistance. Urine leakage pads can be considered if the incontinence is mild. Consumers are encouraged to choose the most suitable product, maintain healthy habits, and ensure a proper fit and size to avoid skin irritation.
