Fox News: Eric Adams suspends NYC land review process, nixes public hearings for moving migrants into neighborhoods
Eric Adams suspends NYC land review process, nixes public hearings for moving migrants into neighborhoods
New York City Mayor Eric Adams suspended bureaucratic protocols on homeless shelters and temporary housing for illegal immigrants arriving in the city, exempting them from lengthy land-use processes. Adams cited the need to "speed up the process of bringing needed shelter space online." Legal Aid and the Coalition for the Homeless have threatened to sue the mayor's office if the city does not abide by right-to-shelter rules requiring families with children be placed in private dwellings. The order will last for five days, unless Adams seeks an extension. Adams' administration is also moving forward with controversial plans to bus migrants out of the city to mostly Republican-led counties.

The Epoch Times: Durham Report Shows 'Massive Politicization' of Justice in Trump-Russia Investigation: Former Assistant AG Jeff Clark
Durham Report Shows 'Massive Politicization' of Justice in Trump-Russia Investigation: Former Assistant AG Jeff Clark
The FBI’s investigation of former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign was deeply politicized, according to Special Counsel John Durham’s report. The report details the lack of empirical evidence, hostile feelings towards Trump by officials, and knowledge of Clinton’s plans to associate Trump with the Russian government to defame him. The claim that Trump was conniving with the Russian government became a topic on late-night TV and even become a subject of memes. Clark and Allen do not believe that the FBI’s corrective actions will be enough to deter such problems in the future. The corrective actions should have been implemented in 2016 when the FBI was mistaken.

Spectator USA: NatCon is mirroring the worst ‘woke’ habits
NatCon is mirroring the worst ‘woke’ habits
The National Conservatism Conference in London detains delegates for 12 hours a day for three days in a row. The program has an American feel and the right is now talking to itself, becoming bores. However, the people really go wild on one thing only, the madness of the trans stuff. It looks like the battle of ideas isn't the point, maybe the conference is just about some national conservatives hanging out. This "New Right" supposedly likes the people, but do the people like them?

American Thinker: Can we please stop using the term 'President Biden'?
Can we please stop using the term 'President Biden'?
The article highlights that attacking Biden only benefits the left's agenda as he serves as a "Straw Man in Chief" to deflect criticism from actual leftist policies and statements. Conservatives should refuse to engage in arguments centered on Biden and instead focus on the overall Democrat leftism. The author also questions who is really in charge of the Biden administration, citing little things as evidence of other hands controlling the steering wheel. The removal of the Winston Churchill bust suggests the involvement of former President Obama, and Susan Rice's recent stint in the Biden White House further supports the idea of a transformation of America proceeding with the same cast of characters leading the way. Nonetheless, the author urges readers to focus on the real enemy behind the scenes rather than wasting time on Biden as he is about to be thrown under their bus anyway.

Riley Gaines Tells Lawmakers She Was ‘Held against My Will’ for Hours By Trans Activists
Former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines testified before Congress about her experience at San Francisco State University, where transgender-rights activists held her against her will for three hours and demanded a ransom for her release. Gaines gave a speech about women’s sports, where protesters chanted outside the room and the room went dark, Gaines testified saying a woman grabbed her and claimed she was with the campus police. Gaines ultimately gave in to the woman’s demands because she “really truly feared” for her life. The protesters demanded a ransom and said they would not release her without payment.

Forbes: Leading Experts Weigh In On Growing Canada's Economy In 2023–24
Leading Experts Weigh In On Growing Canada's Economy In 2023–24
Canada's economy grew by 3.2% in 2022, outpacing G20 and OECD averages, with employment returning to pre-pandemic levels in February 2022, four months ahead of the United States. However, Canada faces structural issues driven by inflation, weak investment, and tepid productivity growth, projected to see economic growth at 1.3% in 2023 and 1.5% in 2024, below G20 averages. To address this, policy reforms are needed to improve the business climate, reduce trade barriers, and develop competitive climate tech solutions to facilitate productivity growth in the Canadian economy. Furthermore, effective place-based policies can deliver inclusive and green growth, leveraging regional assets to create an efficient supply chain and advance critical net-zero sectors.

Forbes: Brighton Finds The Right Replacements To Produce Best-Ever Season
Brighton Finds The Right Replacements To Produce Best-Ever Season
Brighton & Hove Albion has lost key players and staff but has managed to improve the squad across the board using the money raised. The club has finished 9th in the 2021/22 season and is almost certain to improve upon that in 2023, and is likely to have its first-ever qualification for a continental UEFA tournament. Other clubs can learn from Brighton's success in seeing high-profile outgoings as an opportunity rather than a negative.

Brighton has not only replaced its outgoing talent but also managed to improve the squad across the board. This cycle of constant improvement, adaptation, and fine-tuning that has seen Brighton not only cope with selling its best players but regularly benefit from doing so—on the pitch as well as on the balance sheet. At the moment it appears to be less a case of if this run will end, and more a case of how far it can go. Another highest league finish in club history, and participation in UEFA competition for the first time, is a good start.
