Not backing down: Musk issues mock apology after Soros-Magneto comparison
Elon Musk called George Soros Magneto, a villain in the X-Men comics and said he hates humanity. He then issued a mock apology saying his comparison was really unfair to Magneto. When asked about his Soros comments, Musk said he is not anti-Semitic and he will say what he wants on Twitter, even if it leads to a loss of money. Musk also praised Soros for identifying a massive arbitrage opportunity in district attorney elections.

ANALYSIS: 4 Federal Byelections in June: What to Look Out For
Four byelections in Canada in June; drop in popular support by more than 5 percent should be an indication for the major parties during the next federal election, according to a pollster. The Conservatives currently lead the Liberals by seven points nationally, however the results of the byelections can't be seen as predictive of how the next federal election might unfold.

The Epoch Times: EPA's Absence From House EV Hearing Raises Eyebrows
EPA's Absence From House EV Hearing Raises Eyebrows
Former Department of Transportation counsel Steve Bradbury criticized the Environmental Protection Agency's absence from a House hearing on new emissions standards, which will likely increase electric vehicle adoption. Bradbury believes EPA representatives should appear before Congress to explain their 2,000-page analysis. However, the EPA claims that the proposed rules are open for public comment, while Democrats argue that electric vehicle adoption will remain federal policy, regardless of consumer preference. Some Republicans imply that "green" moves are downstream of politics rather than environmental concerns.

Fox News: Adam Schiff, who repeatedly claimed evidence of Russian collusion, denounces Durham report as 'flawed'
Adam Schiff, who repeatedly claimed evidence of Russian collusion, denounces Durham report as 'flawed'
Former House Intelligence Committee Democrat Adam Schiff criticized the Durham report as "flawed." He lambasted the findings and called the probe a "wasted effort" and "four years of undermining the department [of justice] and a political prosecution." Schiff also said there was "very little" in the report beyond what Inspector General Horowitz had already reported two years ago. Schiff had previously claimed "clear evidence on the issue of collusion," but this was never proven. Schiff has since been replaced in the committee by Rep. James Himes, D-Conn. and is now running for the Senate to replace incumbent Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.

Democrats who were interviewed, including Reps. Daniel Goldman of New York and Jamie Raskin of Maryland, called the Durham probe a "wild goose chase" and Diaz Balart said the Durham report had "debunked" concerns regarding the FBI's possible deep state collusion or corruption.

Fox News: Republicans block George Santos expulsion, refer matter to House Ethics Committee
Republicans block George Santos expulsion, refer matter to House Ethics Committee
Republicans blocked Democrats' effort to expel Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., from the House of Representatives, voting to refer the matter to the House Ethics Committee instead. Santos was indicted on federal charges relating to a financial fraud in his 2022 campaign, and has pleaded not guilty. Democrats, including all five on the Ethics Committee, voted present, while Republicans made up all the yes votes.

Santos's communications director Naysa Woomer reportedly resigned on the same day as the vote. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., chose to have the vote referred to the Ethics Committee, which has already been investigating Santos since March.

Fox News: Vermont Gov. Scott indecisive on proposed social programs championed by Democrats
Vermont Gov. Scott indecisive on proposed social programs championed by Democrats
Vermont Governor Phil Scott, a fiscally conservative Republican, is undecided on whether to veto several key social programs passed by the Democratic-controlled legislature. The $100m payroll tax, increases in motor vehicle fees and $180m clean heat mandates could cost each Vermont household $1,200. Lawmakers are following the will of the people, who wanted them to address issues such as affordable child care and universal school meals, said Democratic House Speaker Jill Krowinski.

Biden's legal team has been given a list of potential witnesses, including his former business partner Jeff Cooper and convicted fraudster Devon Archer who served on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma with Biden. If the case goes to trial, public testimony from Biden's associates could reveal new information about his controversial business dealings.

Even More Doubt Cast on Trump Accuser’s Story as Her Social Media Posts Return to Light
E. Jean Carroll's court case against Donald Trump for defamation and sexual battery has resulted in a $5 million payout for Carroll. However, the credibility of her allegations has been questioned due to her odd online behavior, including posting positive sentiments about Trump and asking social media followers if they would have sex with him for money. The brevity of the jury's deliberation time and the fact that Carroll only made her accusations public during the height of the movement has added to the skepticism. Democrats are the primary audience for Carroll's continued public discussion of the case, but her credibility is diminishing with every word.

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries wore sneakers with a suit to a meeting with President Joe Biden, sparking controversy about the violation of traditional norms in the Oval Office. Fashion experts and menswear writers criticized the combo, while some publications like GQ tried to defend it. The incident raises questions about the Democrats' commitment to "norms" and visitors' etiquette.

The Blaze: Levin: Why we MUST dismantle the FBI
Levin: Why we MUST dismantle the FBI
Mark Levin believes that the FBI is serving the Democratic Party instead of the American people. He accuses the FBI of protecting Hillary Clinton and destroying Donald Trump, stating that the Durham Report gives official seal to what is the American Stasi. Moreover, Levin calls Trump the greatest victim in American political history and the Republicans on Capitol Hill need to understand that this administration is targeting them. Levin thinks that if the tables were turned, the bureaucracy would leak the document just as it did his tax returns. He believes that the FBI needs to have their budget slashed and needs to be broken down and rebuilt.

Levin says that the FBI is no good and has gone rogue. He mentions that there is a whistleblower who claimed that Joe Biden took bribes but the FBI still won't submit to oversight. Levin believes that the Democrats are perfectly fine with a Stasi, and it's only conservatives that believe in civil liberties. Hence, he thinks that the FBI needs to be rebuilt. Levin also mentions that this bureaucracy would leak the document just as it did his tax returns if it were Donald Trump who allegedly took bribes. Ultimately, Levin says the FBI needs to be cut down and rebuilt, as it has failed to protect the American people.

Forbes: What Happened In The Turkish National Election
What Happened In The Turkish National Election
The Turkish elections had glitches, and Erdogan's party demanded recounts in the big cities. Despite all that, state media announced a bare 49% to 45 % lead for the ruling Erdo party, requiring a run-off in two weeks. The results were improbable, and ballot box shenanigans in the Kurdish areas were reported. Erdogan cannot risk a fair election, and losing power means being prosecuted for years of corruption. The oncoming months and years will see severe instability conditions in Turkey.

Red State: From Beijing to Hollywood: The Striking Similarities in the Censorship of Comedy
From Beijing to Hollywood: The Striking Similarities in the Censorship of Comedy
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) seeks to limit the rising popularity of stand-up comedy in China to prevent potential anti-government sentiment. The CCP fined a comedian for making a joke that was deemed disrespectful to the People's Liberation Army, prompting an investigation and suspension. The CCP argues that comedy must align with Chinese laws and social norms to exist under communism. This approach to comedy mirrors its wider strategy to suppress dissent and control public discourse. Similarly, some segments of the American left advocate for boundaries within comedy and have embraced cancel culture to silence comedians who step out of line.

The CCP's suppression of comedy and push for censorship within comedy aligns with the authoritarian left in America, which has repeatedly tried to stifle or punish comedians who make jokes they do not approve of. Both groups desire to control and limit comedic expression, shaping public discourse to fit their preferred narratives. Although the authoritarian left lacks the political power to outlaw certain types of comedy, they use other means to keep comedians in line, such as going after Netflix for hosting Chappelle's specials. By shutting down alternative viewpoints and limiting acceptable humor, both the CCP and elements on the left attempt to dictate the boundaries of acceptable humor.

On race, leftist white women are now being told to shut up and stand back
Two women formed a nonprofit to combat racism and marketed themselves as a team to help corporations profile their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. When Black-led organizations encounter interference from white women, "white supremacy and emotional abuse get masked under kindness," said Michelle Saahene, who called DePino "manipulative." The women argued over money, and DePino's whiteness became a problem for Saahene who wanted to revel in her emotions while DePino wanted to run a business that capitalized on Floyd's death. The relationship fell apart, ultimately becoming petty, stupid, self-centered, and boring.

Two dozen marksmanship medals awarded to brothers Freeman and Milan Bull in the late 19th century for their skills in competitive rifle shooting were returned to the National Park Service's Springfield Armory National Historic Site after being stolen and missing for decades. Forgiveness could lead to better mental health, Harvard study reveals
A new study from Harvard University reveals that forgiving others could benefit overall mental health. Individuals who completed self-directed exercises inside a "forgiveness workbook" reported reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression two weeks later. The subjects were taken from five different countries who had been hurt or offended by another person. The researchers suggested that the disposition to forgive is "potentially very much needed" with the "increasing polarization" of today's society. Forgiveness is "critical" in the trauma recovery process, particularly for military veterans and often, it's about "forgiving oneself."

Musk once rejected new Twitter CEO's pressure to allow advertiser influence: 'Freedom of speech is paramount'
Twitter's incoming CEO, Linda Yaccarino, was criticized for suggesting that Elon Musk should reinstate a form of the Twitter Influence Council to give advertisers and other stakeholders feedback and direct access to Twitter leadership. Dan Schneider of MRC Free Speech America expressed concern that Yaccarino might re-introduce a silencing regime to Twitter's advertising practices. However, Musk insisted on the importance of free speech and a "sensible middle ground" where advertisers could provide feedback while ensuring that the public has their voice.

Elon Musk has named former NBCUniversal executive Linda Yaccarino the new CEO of Twitter. Yaccarino recently asked Musk if he would commit not to tweet after 3am and reminded him of the Twitter Influence Council. Musk argued that the council should not influence the platform, and that advertisers should provide feedback while ensuring the public has their voice. Musk acquired Twitter in 2022 to protect free speech but some critics say Yaccarino’s comments may be a sign of a worrying future for the social media site.

Sustainable Viticulture Is A Big Topic In Greece. Here’s What Wineries Are Doing About It.
Greek winemakers are adopting sustainable practices in their vineyards and wine-making operations to ensure the long-term success of their industry. Sustainable viticulture involves managing vineyards in a way that preserves natural resources, reduces waste and pollution and promotes biodiversity. Wineries in the Amyndeon PDO zone, the coldest winemaking region in Greece, are tackling unique challenges from climate change, which requires changes to practices starting with sustainable viticulture. Cretan wineries face threats from increased heat, drought and fire, but with the benefits of abundant sunshine and natural resources it also makes sustainable practices easier. The Douloufakis Winery has been certified organic by IRIS, the first and only European Organic Products Certification body based in Crete.
