American Thinker: The swamp is deep and the IRS crocodiles are hungry
The IRS is more interested in protecting criminals and targeting people they don't like, instead of administering the tax code. The entire investigative team was removed from the long-running tax fraud probe of Hunter Biden in alleged retaliation against the whistleblower who alleged a coverup. They actively support Biden no matter how corrupt he is, while treating other Republicans unfairly.
The Federalist: Don't Miss The Most Damning Durham Finding
John Durham's report on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation revealed extensive evidence of DOJ and FBI misconduct and partisan motives. Durham concluded that preventing political targeting requires a renewed fidelity to the old guidelines and integrity among law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Though Durham recited a catalog of malfeasance, his warning of corrupted hearts and minds was the most significant revelation to come from the investigation. Durham cited Attorney General Edward H. Levi's role in reforming the FBI and DOJ after Watergate as an example of how integrity among law enforcement ensures the rule of law is upheld. The most likely way for Durham's entreaty to succeed in preventing political targeting is for honorable and faithful FBI employees to become whistleblowers and revolt against their corrupted leaders.

National Review: The Biden Family Business
House Republicans are investigating claims that Joe Biden failed to heed his own warnings about public corruption and may have received over $10 million from foreign nationals and their related companies since his days as Obama's Vice President. Investigations are still in the early stages due to the Biden administration's stonewalling, however, the interim report reveals that Gabriel Popoviciu, a convicted Romanian businessman, poured over $1 million into Biden family accounts during the former Vice President's campaign against corruption in Romania. The Biden family received large sums of foreign-source money, with no legitimate exchange of value, which resemble payments made to criminal enterprises. These worrying discoveries raise concerns about national security and the potential for foreign interference in American policy decisions.

National Review: Iowa’s Historic Chance to Eliminate Its Income Tax
Iowa is continuing its trend of state-based tax reform, phasing out income tax in favor of a flat tax rate by 2026 with Senator Dan Dawson's plan, which would phase down rates to a point where they could be completely eliminated by 2030, using the Taxpayer Relief Fund. The state has made conservative budgeting a cornerstone of their policy agenda, producing a surplus of $1.7 billion in 2023 and anticipated $2 billion surplus in 2024, with a budget of $8.5 billion.

Fox News: Joe Rogan mocks feminist Miller Lite ad after Bud Light backlash: 'Does no one learn?'
Joe Rogan criticized Miller Lite's feminist commercial, which aimed to address the negative effects of ads depicting women in bikinis. On his podcast, Rogan expressed concerns over the beer company's overly zealous political correctness and mockery of ad campaigns popular decades ago. He accused Miller Lite of buying press clippings and shredding them to show respect for women, comparing their approach to that of Bud Light's controversial partnering with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, costing them favor among consumers. Rogan also criticized the ad for implying that there's something wrong with women wearing bikinis, working on the premise that women look great in them.

American Thinker: What the WHO has in store for us
The WHO is about to get emergency medical powers to control US healthcare. They will have broad powers over healthcare and will create a new unrestricted Liaison Agency (LiAgency?) to implement these powers. The immediate goal will be to do irreversible damage to the US healthcare system using digital health passports, mandatory vaccines, and censorship of dissenting medical opinions. All COVID criminals will be given blanket amnesty for past and future medical crimes. They will require medical payments to be in digital currencies and ban physical money as unhealthy. The end goal is to declare food, vitamins, supplements, water, air, education, climate, and energy as health issues and then regulate all of them. The WHO will monitor the US using digital currencies and tax the US to expand the WHO's budget tenfold. Expect both illegals and politics to be affected.

Fox News: Faith leader, during Police Appreciation Week, says law enforcement are heroes in a 'vocation' given by God
Fr. Jeffrey Kirby, a Catholic priest in South Carolina, has called for Americans to recognize the efforts of law enforcement members. He ministers to local law enforcement officers and has said that such personnel are "the best of us." During Law Enforcement Appreciation Month, Kirby called for "respect and affirmation" to be given to police officers in schools and places of worship. He added that any assault against a police officer is an assault upon society itself, and spoke out against claims of "systematic racism" in police forces, calling instead for people to acknowledge the noble vocation of such public service roles.
Fox News: West Hollywood hires more police amid crime fears year after slashing staffing, hiring unarmed 'ambassadors'
West Hollywood City Council has voted to hire more LA Sheriff's Department positions to address rising crime concerns, less than a year after cutting police staffing. The council voted 4-0 with one council member abstaining to add four positions and possibly more in the future. The decision to cut LASD funding and hire unarmed security ambassadors was passed last June, but it has led to a sharp increase in crimes like robbery and burglary, leaving residents feeling unsafe.

American Thinker: Why would anyone believe these people can control temperatures, sea levels, and storm activity forever?
Automakers are phasing out AM radio from electric vehicles due to interference, but can't solve other issues related to EVs, including limited charging infrastructure, heavier curb weights, and a higher risk of battery fires. EV batteries are also difficult to repair, have limited ranges, and require critical minerals dominated by China. EVs emit less CO2 but would only reduce temperatures by a fraction of a degree, and even with subsidies, are not cost-effective for most Americans. Fed Governor Christopher Waller says climate change does not pose significant financial risk to the economy. Dire predictions should be taken with a grain of salt.

Fox News: US aims to drain WWII-era fuel tank in Hawaii after leaking incident contaminates drinking water
The U.S. military plans to begin removing 104 million gallons of fuel from the World War II-era Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility in Hawaii on Oct. 16, after it leaked jet fuel into Pearl Harbor's drinking water and poisoned 6,000 people in 2021. However, 100,000 to 400,000 gallons of fuel will remain, requiring additional plans to be proposed for removal. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Hawaii Department of Health need to green-light the new plan.
National Review: Greens Melt Down over Red-State Energy Deregulation
Red states are leveling the energy playing field, causing environmentalists to worry that green-energy will be unable to compete with conventional energy. Texas and Montana are passing legislation to put solar and wind farms on the same level as other energy sources. Montana passed laws preventing local governments from banning gas stoves and from blocking the use of existing energy infrastructure. Florida passed a bill to roll back solar subsidies. The green energy sector is learning firsthand that equality feels like oppression.
