American Thinker: What it Means to Have a Heart
Physicians are denying that life begins at fertilization and instead spreading a fantasy version of medical science to justify barbaric procedures that profit from women's crisis pregnancies. Legislation like the heartbeat bill, which would protect the unborn child once a fetal heartbeat is detected, is being prevented by the medical community's use of money to dehumanize the fetus. Media outlets are working with physician groups to spread misinformation about fetal heartbeats and redefine the term "heartbeat" to rationalize abortion. Physicians must be forced by legislative bodies to do what they are ethically obligated to do, as abortion as we know it would not exist in a moral world seeking truth.
Fox News: Biden views the debt ceiling as a staring contest with Republicans, not his duty as president
While some view the debt ceiling as a political game, it symbolizes the reckless spending that has burdened this country for decades. Senator Mike Lee and his colleagues are committed to opposing any increase in the debt ceiling without substantive spending and budget reforms. Negotiating on the debt limit has been done before, and tough choices and trade-offs must be made to put the country on a path to long-term prosperity. The ball is now in President Biden's court, and the American people deserve leadership grounded in reality and the rule of law, not gimmicks and legal fiction.
Speaker McCarthy has a plan that avoids a crash while guiding the country to a course of fiscal safety, but President Biden views the debt ceiling negotiations as a staring contest and is using crackpot legal theories to avoid negotiating. The 14th Amendment argument and the trillion-dollar coin theory are misguided attempts to sidestep the responsibility of Congress to manage the debt ceiling. The only responsible solution is for President Biden to negotiate with Republicans and find a solution that protects the economic stability of our country. The American people deserve leadership that puts the country on a path to long-term prosperity and does not rely on gimmicks and legal fiction.
American Thinker: Biden's Kampf
Biden's catchphrase, "battle for the soul of our nation," was coined in response to Trump's remarks about white supremacists in Charlottesville. However, it was a twisted version of the truth that Biden ran with, rallying many to his cause. Soros-funded organizations and individuals abound in Biden's administration, with Soros himself gaining direct access to the White House at least 12 times in 2022 alone. Policies passed include the furthering of LGBTQ+ interests, eroding of traditional religious values, and sacrificing unborn children's rights to the pro-choice crowd. Government contracts awarded Vera over $400 million to help illegal immigrants avoid deportation.

American Thinker: Without a Core Ethnicity, Nations Struggle for Stability
Ethnic tensions arise when divergent ethnic groups reach a level of demographic equivalency, regardless of race. Examples include Fiji, split between Fijians and Indians, Belgium split between Dutch-speaking Flemish and French-speaking Walloons, and Canada split between Anglophones and Francophones. Nations run best when they have an ethnic core which takes time to form and broaden. Immigration laws must be generous but not suicidal, and an ethnic core must not be threatened. Whites fighting each other, Asians fighting each other, and Africans fighting each other shows that American definition of whiteness was unusually generous. Common sense is the antidote to white supremacism. ( )

Euromaidan Press: Frontline report: Russia launched concentrated missile attack on Kyiv in an attempt to penetrate through Patriot air defense

Local residents found remnants of Russian rockets, and a video was published with partially reassembled intercepted missiles. Ukrainians received the newest model of the Patriot air defense system. In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainians opened another line of attack and successfully pushed Russians from their tactical position in the region, making it harder to protect tree lines. Ukrainians have already started intense artillery preparation in the sector and retreated toward outer buildings in the city after Russians penetrated defense positions. The Epoch Times: Home Depot Cuts Forecasts, Signals Weakness Ahead for Big US Retailers
Home Depot's annual sales forecast was cut due to inflation-wary consumers trimming spending, with a first-quarter sales miss blamed on a wet start to spring and falling lumber prices. The largest US home improvement chain expects fiscal 2023 comparable sales to fall between 2 and 5 percent and for earnings per share to decline between 7 and 13 percent, despite posting a quarterly profit of $3.82 per share. Quarterly comparable sales fell by 4.5 percent. Analysts were expecting a 0.9 percent decline. Competitor Lowe's Cos Inc. also saw shares drop nearly 3 percent.
The Epoch Times: Wages Growth Hits Decade High, Still Far Below Inflation
The Australian job market is tightening with an increase of almost one percent in annual wage growth at the beginning of this year, with the average wage increasing by around 3.7 percent annually. The private sector is leading this charge, with 3.8 percent annual wage growth, however, in the public sector, annual wage growth has reached three percent, its highest level in a decade. Economists believe that although it is unlikely the wage growth will be the major factor in Australia’s next month’s cash rate decision, the Reserve Bank of Australia is still closely watching the current state of the labor market dynamics.
The Australia government has agreed to provide its employees with the largest pay rise in over a decade, which will result in public servants seeing a rise in their wages by 10.5 percent over the next three years. In addition, it has announced that the budget will include an increase of 15 percent for workers in the country’s aged care sector from July 1. More than a quarter of a million workers in the sector will benefit from the policy, which is set to cost AUD 11.3bn ($7.53bn) over four years and comes as the government works to tackle labor shortages. Despite concerns of potential inflationary pressures, finance minister, Katy Gallagher, said there would not be any problem. Treasurer Jim Chalmers commented: “We’ve gone out of our way here to make sure we can afford, and we can work through in a responsible way this historic pay rise for aged care workers.”

Forbes: Can Artificial Intelligence Solve The Growing Mental Health Crisis?
There is a global epidemic of mental health issues leading to catastrophic consequences and increasing spending on treatment. U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy has issued an advisory report on loneliness and lack of social connection as serious public health concerns. However, there is potential for artificial intelligence to replicate human language and provide companionship, medical advice, and therapy. While AI has the potential to solve access issues and provide services in a convenient manner, developers should ensure patient privacy and data security, enforce responsible development, and prioritize viable and sustainable measures to resolve the mental health crisis.

Fox News: Jackson Mahomes' bond modification request approved, allowed contact with 3 witnesses
Jackson Mahomes' bond was modified to allow him to speak to three of the four witnesses listed in his case of being charged with aggravated sexual battery and battery, stemming from a restaurant altercation where he allegedly grabbed the owner of the business by the throat, kissed her without consent and refused to leave. Mahomes posted a $100,000 bond earlier this month and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 31. One of the witnesses, who had direct knowledge of the incident, was off-limits to Mahomes as warned by Johnson County District Judge Thomas M. Sutherland. Surveilliance footage reportedly showed the incident.
A partially redacted affidavit was released in the case against Jackson Mahomes, TikTok star and brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, giving more details of the allegations against him. According to the document, the restaurant employee at Aspen's Restaurant told authorities that Mahomes shoved him when he tried to obtain his water bottle from the business' office. Mahomes returned to the office and allegedly closed the door behind him before grabbing the owner of the restaurant by her throat, forcing her head back and kissing her three times.
