Breitbart: Pro-Life Father Mark Houck Says FBI Raid 'Traumatized' His 7 Children
House Judiciary Subcommittee holds hearing on alleged selective enforcement of FACE Act against pro-life activists. Pro-life Catholic activist Mark Houck testifies that DOJ sent FBI agents to his home, arresting him at gunpoint in front of his family on charges of violating the act. Houck was acquitted in January. GOP lawmakers criticize DOJ for what they see as selective enforcement and targeting of pro-life activists. They question Houck about alleged connections to domestic violent extremism and emphasize the disproportionate enforcement against pro-life individuals compared to pro-abortion activists.
Forbes: N.Y. Republicans Oppose Santos’ Immediate Expulsion From Congress—Despite Calling On Him To Resign
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will seek to refer the resolution to expel Rep. George Santos, who was indicted on federal fraud and money laundering charges last week, to the House Ethics Committee, which opened an investigation into his conduct in March. Democrats had filed a "privileged resolution" to expel Santos that required the House to vote within two days. Though McCarthy had initially pledged to call on Santos to resign if he was found guilty of wrongdoings by the Ethics Committee, he urged the panel on Tuesday to "move rapidly" in its investigation, predicting that the process would be faster than his federal court case.
The Epoch Times: Rep. Greene Introduces Articles of Impeachment Against Garland
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) introduced articles of impeachment against U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, accusing him of weaponizing and politicizing the justice system. The articles cite multiple issues, including FBI involvement in school policies, attacks on pro-life centers, intimidating protests outside Supreme Court justice homes, and persecution of former President Trump. Greene also accused Garland of not focusing on prosecuting Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioters while overseeing the persecution of political protesters.
Fox News: 'Squad' Democrats roasted as 'unelectable' for voting against honoring slain police officers: 'Badge of shame'
Progressive House members Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Cori Bush faced criticism for voting against a pro-law enforcement resolution mourning police officers killed in the line of duty. The two Democrats were the only ones to vote against the resolution, which passed with unanimous support from Republicans and nearly all Democrats.
Spectator USA: The Durham report unmasks the Deep State
Former US attorney John Durham's 306-page report shows how the Deep State and mainstream media were responsible for 'Russiagate' and nearly failed democracy in the country. The FBI participated in an information operation designed to keep Donald Trump out of power and drive him from office, using disinformation produced by the Russians to justify spying on the Trump campaign without unbiased investigation. The media played along to press a false narrative of collusion right to the precipice of impeachment or indictment, for which no one has yet been driven into early retirement.
The Durham report uncovers failures at the FBI, which failed to uphold its important mission of strict fidelity to the law, disregarded significant exculpatory information that could have prompted investigative restraint and re-examination, and displayed a cavalier attitude towards accuracy and completeness. The report makes no recommendations to prevent repeats of such situations but warns that a bias against careful examination of information was inside Crossfire Hurricane, the operation that started it all. The media also need to be more skeptical of any claims of foreign collusion, and tougher critics of the information they report.
The New American: Durham Report Fails to Bring Criminal Charges - The New American
The long-awaited John Durham report reveals that the criminal justice and intelligence communities of the US government were weaponized to favor one party over another during elections, but promises no criminal prosecutions as a result. The left-leaning mainstream media has reacted dismissively, but there are millions of Americans who share Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville's frustration at the double standard of justice in the country. Durham offered an explanation for not pursuing criminal charges against people in the government who were trying to imprison their political opponents, as trials would take place in the District of Columbia, and would be subject to political bias, making it difficult to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The only real solution to this injustice is to close the courts inside the district and farm out such cases involving political figures to courts outside of the district.
Fox News: 'Squad' Dems who refused to honor slain police officers allied with group that supported cop killers
Reps Tlaib & Bush were the only Dems to vote against a resolution honoring police officers killed in the line of duty. The two far-left "Squad" members have allied with the Movement for Black Lives, a group that supports defunding the police, and a clemency petition for Sundiata Acoli and Mutulu Shakur, who were convicted of killing police officers. The group received $15m from George Soros' Open Society Policy Center in 2021. The coalition also supports controversial agendas, including a push for reparations. The congresswomen did not respond to comment.
Flag And Cross: Elon Musk Takes Long Pause, Gives Activist Reporter Perfect Answer to Question
CNBC reporter David Faber attempted to question Tesla CEO Elon Musk about his controversial tweets in an interview, essentially asking him to answer for opinions he has expressed on his social media and linking them to “conspiracy theories.” Faber works for a company whose apparent goal is to further the power the Democratic Party has over ordinary people. During the interview, Musk defended his right to free speech and said he will say what he wants, even if it meant losing money. Musk put his money where his mouth was when he bought Twitter, seemingly to preserve people's ability to speak unfettered and without fear of punishment, and he will say whatever he wishes at any point without fear of blowback.
The Epoch Times: Biden Cowed by China’s Aggression
The State Department delayed imposing sanctions and export controls on China after the Chinese military flew its spy balloon over the US. This delay will only serve to legitimize and embolden the hostile elements of the Communist Party. State Department officials believe that maintaining lines of communication is crucial and feared that China would cut them off indefinitely. China has also successfully intimidated the American government. The Biden administration is even moving in the wrong direction and it is increasingly difficult to implement a bipartisan consensus about confronting China today within the US Congress if the executive branch returns to its failed engagement policy.
Red State: Inspector General Reveals Criminal Corruption by Biden US Attorney, AG Merrick Garland Declines to Prosecute
US Attorney Rachael Rollins resigns amidst DOJ probe into her misconduct while in office. Rollins was only in her position because Vice President Kamala Harris broke a tie twice to ensure she was appointed and was widely praised by Democrats in the US Senate. According to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report, Rollins not only acted corruptly and abused her power, but she also broke the law in the process, lied under oath to the Office of the Inspector General when questioned on the situation, and apparently ran up against DOJ regulations involving the soliciting of illegal gifts as a government official. AG Merrick Garland and the rest of the powers that be at the DOJ decided not to press charges against Rollins.
The Blaze: Sen. Graham joins critics calling for Pulitzer Prize given to Washington Post and New York Times to be rescinded after Durham report proved their narrative to be 'politically motivated crap'
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has called for the Pulitzer Prize to be taken back from the New York Times and Washington Post for their coverage of the thoroughly debunked Trump-Russia collusion narrative. Graham cited information from the Durham report, which confirmed that the investigation was based on a false claim, originally approved and advanced by failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and politically expedient for liberal reporters' ideological comrades in Washington. Graham also urged Attorney General Merrick Garland to apologize to those harmed by the Durham report and for FBI Director Christopher Wray to apologize to those whose lives were negatively impacted by the FBI's actions.
Fox News: Every administration since Reagan mishandled classified records, officials testify to House committee
NARA officials testified to the House Intelligence Committee that classified materials mishandling is a systemic problem that dates back to the Reagan administration. The committee is investigating former Presidents Trump and Biden, as well as former Vice President Pence, for their alleged mishandling of classified records. Officials from NARA said that every administration since Reagan has misrepresented or concealed classified information.
While reviewing Trump's presidential records, NARA was not aware of missing classified information, but they noticed some high-visible items were missing. Trump's officials later found those items and other materials and arranged to ship them to NARA. NARA received those materials, recovered many overdue materials, and identified classified national security information. Biden and Pence self-identified their retention of classified records, but anyone's ability to notice that something is missing is limited. House Intelligence Committee Chairman expressed that we need a better way for elected officials who are leaving office to properly return classified material and protect national security integrity.
PJ Media: Whistleblowers Say Durham Report Should Be ‘Death Knell’ for Corrupt FBI
The Durham Report exposes the FBI as "a political actor" interfering in the 2016 and 2020 elections, targeting Trump without evidence while slowing or stopping investigations into the Clintons. Former FBI agents and whistleblowers warn that the intelligence community is mobilizing to work on behalf of the Joe Biden campaign, making the FBI no longer an objective force for good. "The weapons and the apparatchiks of our federal government have now been turned against the American population," as the FBI targets Trump, his allies, pro-lifers, traditional Catholics, parents expressing concern about school curriculum, and Americans expressing free speech online. This “should be the final death knell for the FBI… now the FBI has exposed itself as a political actor, and it’s no longer legitimate, and they just really need to be ControlAltDeleted.”
Newsbusters: Nets Pout Over Pro-Life NC Law as ABC Explains What It Means for a ‘Pregnant Person’
North Carolina recently passed a bill establishing a 12-week limit on abortions with exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. ABC, CBS, and NBC bemoaned the bill and used language such as “blow to abortion rights advocates,” “dramatic shift in laws on abortion,” and “tightened restrictions” while omitting key information such as the bill’s promotion of adoption and exceptions for fetal abnormalities. ABC went full transgender, referring to a “pregnant person,” and NBC’s report claimed that North Carolina had been “a safe haven” for women seeking abortions in the South. The networks were sponsored by Aleve, Starbucks, and Uber.
Fox News: WATCH: Biden nominee stumbles through answers after Sen. Kennedy grills her on basic legal theory
Judge Anna de Alba was left struggling to define basic constitutional law theory when Senator John Kennedy questioned her in her confirmation hearing. Kennedy quizzed the Biden judicial nominee on the Dormant Clause and Commerce Clause, both under Article 1 of the Constitution. De Alba appeared to struggle to answer Kennedy's questions, admitting that she had not dealt with the Dormant Commerce Clause in her practice.
The nomination hearing for Judge Ana de Alba to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals saw Senate judiciary committee member, Senator John Kennedy, question the judge on the Commerce Clause and Dormant Commerce Clause. De Alba appeared to struggle with her answers, admitting that she had not dealt with the Dormant Commerce Clause in her eleven years of practice and five years on the bench. Kennedy's questions were in reference to a big Supreme Court case involving California's Proposition 12, which faced opposition from the Justice Department as unconstitutional under the Dormant Commerce Clause.
Daily Wire: Musk Doubles Down On George Soros Remark: ‘I’ll Say What I Want To Say’ And If I Lose Money, ‘So Be It’
Elon Musk does not care about losing money over his free speech values and will say what he wants. During an interview with CNBC, he defended his recent tweet comparing George Soros to Magneto, and said that sharing his opinions on Twitter is part of his freedom of speech. He added that if the consequence of it is losing money, he is okay with it.

Fox News: Three teenagers attack man while spewing anti-White remarks: police
NYC police arrest a teenager for racially motivated attack on a white man in Queens, charging him with assault as part of a hate crime. The victim suffered an attack from three teens who fled the scene spouting anti-White remarks.
The FBI's 2021 Hate Crime Statistics show that around 10.5% of hate crimes are anti-White incidents, almost double that of anti-Hispanic and more than anti-Asian incidents. Motivated by racial discrimination, such crimes are on the rise, as evidenced by recent attacks, including the anti-White shooting in Oklahoma.
Human Events: Drag Queen Story Hour for 2-year-olds featuring adult performer
called ‘Cougar’ sells out in Perth, Australia
A Drag Queen Story Hour for children aged two to eight has sold out at Perth Library, featuring Cougar Morrison. Critics on Twitter have suggested that the event, which takes place on the international day against homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia, might be more geared towards adults than children. Morrison attempted to justify the story time by saying during a radio interview that he dressed conservatively for the event, but did not explain why he targeted children with his performances. Morrison said he would have loved to attend a similar event as a child, but similar events were not available then.
Fox News: Left-wing lawmakers press for federal reparations for Black Americans: 'We're here to demand it'
Representative Cori Bush and a group of House progressives are calling for reparations for Black Americans who descended from slaves and Americans of African descent. Bush's Reparations Now resolution declares that the US has a "moral and legal obligation to provide reparations for the enslavement of Africans." Bush presented the resolution at a press conference with fellow Squad members and activists. California is also considering reparations for Black residents with a potential payout of up to $1.2 million per person. The resolution comes as the reparations debate gains momentum in the US.
Fox News: America's executives are not in touch with lived reality of race in the workplace. It’s worse than you think
Americans are increasingly concerned about racial injustice, but no institution besides employers is trusted to address it, according to a report by Edelman. Concern about racism among Americans has risen eight points from 2022, with 69% of respondents expressing concerns. The study also found that 72% of respondents "trust their employer" to act on the issue of racial justice. However, corporate leaders are found to believe there has been more progress on racial equity in the workplace than their employees, with 60% of executives believing their companies have made significant strides in addressing racism within their organizations, compared to 18% of rank-and-file employees.

Euromaidan Press: “We must win so that no dictator can blackmail neighbors with nuclear weapons,” Ukraine’s First Lady at Asian Leadership Conference
Ukraine's First Lady, Olena Zelenska, spoke at the Asian Leadership Conference in Seoul, emphasizing the humanitarian consequences of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the importance of Ukraine's victory over the invader to prevent dictators from using nuclear weapons or imposing their will on other nations. President Yoon Suk Yeol of South Korea also called on the international community to condemn Russia's actions in Ukraine for global stability.
Fox News: UK, Germany pressure US to decide on F-16 fighter jets for Ukraine
Top leaders from the UK and Germany have called on the US to decide whether to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets as the war with Russia continues. Although Poland has sent Soviet-era MiG-29s, the two NATO allies suggested it is up to the White House to decide whether F-16s would be delivered given they are US-made. Germany cited a lack of training, competencies and planes as the reason why it could not play an active role in such an alliance. Meanwhile, the UK has committed to helping Ukrainians gain technological expertise on more advanced equipment.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Dutch leader Mark Rutte are said to be organising a "fighter jet coalition" as the Ukrainian government ramps up plans to procure F-16s. While the UK has committed to training Ukrainians on advanced aircraft, British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said on 18 May that the UK did not have F-16s and would not be considering sending planes from its Typhoon fleet. Warsaw is the only NATO ally to have sent Ukraine military hardware, with Poland sending Soviet-made MiG fighters in mid-April.

The Epoch Times: Ford 'Disappointed' in Feds' Handling of Rocky Stellantis Deal for EV Battery Plant
Ford and federal government are working on ensuring that automaker Stellantis doesn't pull out from building an electric vehicle battery plant in Ontario. Stellantis says that construction at the site has stopped due to the federal government's failure to deliver on its commitments of matching production incentives under the Inflation Reduction Act. The federal ministers want Ontario to pay its "fair share" to make it happen while Ontario has signed its own deal with Stellantis for a $500 million capital contribution.
The Epoch Times: Texas Attorney General Sues Hyatt for Allegedly Duping Consumers With Hidden Fees
Hyatt Hotels is being sued by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for allegedly violating the state’s consumer protection laws. Paxton claims that Hyatt engaged in “false, misleading, and deceptive acts and practices” by adding undisclosed taxes and fees during the checkout process, resulting in a violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Hyatt is accused of violating Texas law by marketing hotel rates at prices that are not available as advertised, and of misleading consumers with mandatory fees that are belatedly added to their room rate. Hyatt has more than 65 hotels in Texas, and Paxton's lawsuit claims that the hotel's lack of transparency regarding room prices has misled consumers.
Earlier this year, President Joe Biden called on Congress to pass the Junk Free Prevention Act to protect consumers from the hidden fees not included in the advertised prices for hotel rooms and other common purchases such as concert tickets. The Federal Trade Commission describes the practice as “drip pricing.” Marriott International recently agreed to “clearly and conspicuously” disclose all “resort fees." Marriott must list resort fees separately from taxes or other government-imposed fees. Paxton previously announced a settlement with Marriott International Inc. regarding the hotel chain’s hidden fees and costs not included in advertised nightly room rates.
Forbes: Target Earnings Beat Street But Company Calls Out Cautious Consumer
Target exceeds Wall Street projections in Q1 reporting, despite challenges from shrinking sales and organized theft. The company reported revenue of $25.3 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $2.05, beating the $25.18 billion estimate and $1.77 per share estimate, respectively. The retailer also saw an uptick in traffic, while maintaining guidance that comparable sales will range from a low-single-digit decline to a low-single-digit increase for the year.

The Economist: Humans shed genetic information everywhere they go
Humans shed genetic information everywhere they go, making it possible for scientists to harvest environmental DNA (eDNA) and track which species are living where. In a recent study, researchers found that eDNA surveys also pick up large quantities of human DNA, which can be read and potentially matched with individuals by anyone with the right equipment. This raises questions about ethical guidelines for collecting human DNA and potential uses, such as crime investigations or health benefits, for analysing human DNA found in the environment.
The market for dinosaur fossils is booming, with private collectors, auction houses, and museums paying top dollar for these relics. However, this has caused concern and frustration among some palaeontologists who argue that private ownership of such important specimens deprives the public of access to important scientific evidence. Additionally, some argue that the high prices for fossils incentivize looting and black market trade, endangering important scientific discoveries.
American Thinker: A fake ‘girl’ now markets a movie about a real girl’s coming of age
Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney has been hired to promote Lionsgate Films' adaptation of Judy Blume's book "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret" after the film failed to earn enough revenue at the box office, though it has good ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. Mulvaney sat down for an interview with Blume in a controversial paid partnership, as he has never had a period nor experienced the subjects that the central character deals with in the book. Critics have slammed Lionsgate and Blume for allowing the partnership and insulting biological girls, but Blume appears to be left-leaning and has spoken about her book's original rejection and the current climate of trying to keep LGBT+ books out of the classroom, which PEN America reports totalled over 1,600 bans in the 2021-2022 school year.
Spectator USA: Mission: Impossible makes the Daniel Craig Bond movies seem anemic and dull

He prefers the Mission: Impossible series, calling them the best "Bond films" now. With the release of the full trailer for the latest Tom Cruise-starring film, Dead Reckoning: Part One, the Mission: Impossible franchise has become the thinking man's blockbuster of choice. The film promises jaw-dropping stunts and shamelessly high-octane entertainment.

The Epoch Times: The Loneliness Epidemic: Surgeon General Warns of Deadly Risks Comparable to Smoking
Loneliness has become an "epidemic" and a new public health crisis in the US, warns Surgeon General of the United States, Dr. Vivek Murthy. Nearly half of US adults reported experiencing loneliness, and it increases risks of premature death, heart disease, stroke and dementia. Americans have become less involved in social communities in decades and replaced face-to-face human interaction with technology. Social engagement drastically declined from 2003 to 2019 in young Americans aged 15 to 24, leading to "significant loss in socialization experiences." To tackle the epidemic, community service and being present with friends are suggested solutions, along with designing technology that strengthens human relationships as opposed to weakening them.

Fox News: Nashville school shooter manifesto: Police group sides with school in lawsuit over release
Officials at the Covenant School have filed to intervene in a lawsuit seeking public disclosure of a manifesto written by Audrey Hale, the trans shooter who killed 3 adults and 3 9-year-olds at the Nashville Christian elementary school. The National Police Association and private investigator Clara Brewer are suing city and county officials, demanding copies of Hale's writings that were recovered from her vehicle and home after the shooting. The school seeks to protect floor plans of its facility and personnel information; a decision is expected in June.
Hale had no prior criminal history in Davidson County or Metro Nashville. She had legally purchased seven guns leading up to the attack and kept journals on other school shootings. Police seized journals, documents, and electronic devices found in her parents' home, where she lived. Hale was an artist who attended Nossi College of Art and Design and had been seeing a doctor due to an emotional disorder.

The Economist: The market for dinosaur fossils is booming
- Dinosaur fossils are in high demand among private collectors, fueling a booming market and resulting in conflicts with palaeontologists concerned about the impact on scientific research. In recent years, six specimens have sold for $6m or more, with prices driven up by wealthy collectors. Critics argue that the rarity of fossils that makes them attractive to buyers also makes them valuable to science, but some fossils have been lost to research after disappearing into private collections. However, others in the field argue that private collectors can be useful for public institutions struggling to keep up with the costs of research.
