The Blaze: California may give illegal immigrants unemployment benefits despite growing budget deficit
California is considering providing unemployment benefits to illegal immigrants, with a new senate bill, SB 227, proposing that they receive $300 per week for up to 20 weeks. The Los Angeles Board of Supervisors has previously given its support to the bill, which was introduced by Democratic State Senator María Elena Durazo. The Safety Net for All Coalition has argued that undocumented workers in California contribute $485m per year to the state's Unemployment Insurance system, and have claimed that the unemployment programme would cost $356m in state funds. The Senate Appropriations Committee is due to review the legislation on Thursday.

TAPP will implement similar tactics for their activism in their local communities, which its website says is to "protect and advocate for the Planned Parenthood facilities in Tennessee and northern Mississippi and their legislative and community agendas". Protests at the Tennessee state House have made several news headlines this year.

Members of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at the University of Wyoming have filed a lawsuit, requesting a judge to declare transgender member Artemis Langford’s membership null and void, as well as to award damages in accordance with the lawsuit. The lawsuit claims that Langford’s membership in the sorority has made the environment uncomfortable and has even caused fear among the biological females. The transgender woman in question, who is 6'2" and 260 pounds, has been granted permission to live in the house in September, despite not currently residing there. Several allegations have been made, including Langford "observing" members for hours without speaking, and putting a pillow in his lap to conceal physical arousal.
Seven members of the sorority also claimed that Langford had sexually preyed on them, leading to increased calls for action to be taken. The sisters have accused senior sorority members and chapter managers of forcing them to vote Langford into the group, even leading to members being called "bigots" and "transphobes" for refusing to shower or sleep in the same area as Langford. This incident follows growing criticism of transgender women competing in sports with biological women.

Due to this, many CCP intelligence agents are Chinese private individuals who serve the government through persuasion and manipulation from state authorities. Kristof Slagmulder, a politician from Belgium's Dutch-speaking Flanders region, called for an investigation into the potential role that Chinese students in Belgium could play in CCP espionage efforts. Belgium is not currently on the list of European countries that have Chinese police stations in operation. The Chinese regime denied running undeclared police stations abroad after a report by Safeguard Defenders stated that agents of the Chinese regime are operating covertly in countries around the world using secret police stations as a base of operations. The report has spurred investigations in at least 14 countries to date. Ireland and the Netherlands have closed the Chinese police stations that were discovered in their countries, and inquiries are being conducted in Spain. In April, two men were arrested in New York for allegedly operating a secret police station in Manhattan on behalf of China’s communist regime.

Roffler, along with former Silicon Valley Bank CEO Greg Becker and former Signature Bank Chairman Scott Shay, testified before Senate Banking Committee, each largely avoiding taking responsibility for their bank’s failure and blaming the events they said were out of their control. Prior to the collapse of the two banks, First Republic was infused with $30 billion by 11 large US banks. Nevertheless, they were seized by JPMorgan Chase at the behest of FDIC on May 1. The bank ultimately could not recover investor and depositor confidence.
