The American Spectator: What is ‘Common-Good Capitalism,’ and Why Are Some Conservatives So Enamored?
Common-good capitalism is an economic and social policy aimed at producing a more balanced and stable economy that better serves the nation and its people. It is a vague and subjective concept that advocates use to promote things like tradition, workers' dignity, religion, order, and families, and criticize the free market. However, it starts by mistaking problems caused by government intervention for problems inherent in the free market and offers up even more government interventions as supposed solutions. It champions the same policies that big-government types predictably propose whenever they see something they don't like, implying a greater role for government in regulating and directing the market to achieve their desired outcomes.

The American Spectator: North Carolina: A Purple-State Model for a Pro-life America
North Carolina has enacted a 12-week abortion ban with governor's veto being overruled by the State General Assembly. The bill will take effect from July 1 and will only have exceptions for rape, incest, and fetal abnormalities. The state has now become the latest one to pass a severer abortion restriction, despite the governor's efforts to sway Republicans. North Carolina has now joined several other Republican-controlled states such as Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama which have abortion bans without exception. However, the latest legislation in North Carolina will serve as a crucial case study for future elections as it is a purple state with a democratically controlled governor.

Demand has increased since Roe v. Wade was overturned. The organization works in a legal gray area, and the FDA did not respond to requests for comment. Aid Access plans to stay in operation, and has a growing network of American clinicians who can prescribe at home.
