Fox News: 1.5 million 'gotaways' at the border under the Biden administration: report
Over 1.5 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border under the Biden administration, with 530,000 "gotaways" in fiscal year 2023 and COVID-19 emergency policy Title 42 ending soon. Texas authorities are tracking down "gotaways" using dogs and drones. The Biden administration's plan to release migrants without court dates has been blocked by a federal judge.
Breitbart: Exclusive– Rep. Tenney: Prioritizing Migrants over Vets ‘New, Shameful Low’
New York Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney has criticized President Biden and New York Governor Kathy Hochul for prioritizing undocumented migrants over homeless veterans when it comes to housing. Homeless veterans have been displaced to clear space for undocumented migrants in New York City. Tenney is calling for more support for veterans, saying that ensuring they have access to housing must be a priority. Last week, hotels in Upstate New York began evicting homeless veterans to make room for migrants being bused to the region from New York City.

Newsbusters: Morning Joe Dismisses Durham As 'Four-Year Taxpayer Funded Boondoggle'
Morning Joe dismisses the Special Counsel's report on the FBI and Trump-Russia probe as a waste of taxpayer money, claiming it underlines Republican hatred towards the FBI. The report is criticized for being a rehashing of known information, costing almost $7 million and four years to produce, and being a partisan boondoggle. The hosts assert that it makes the FBI and anyone who defended the collusion narrative look terrible, but Scarborough takes a victory lap around the fact that Durham and Republicans now have a tarnished reputation.
PJ Media: New Chicago Mayor Compares Killing of Police Officer to the Shooting of an Armed Teen
Brandon Johnson, former organizer for the radical-left Chicago Teachers Union, is now the city's mayor. He promised to soak the rich, "rethink" policing, and "reinvest" in schools, but big companies are already leaving because of promised tax increases. Police are retiring at record rates and the city's schools are spending $9.4 billion with a shocking 15% proficiency in math and 80% of students unable to read at grade level. Johnson's regime will face challenges with the upcoming summer months, as the city becomes more violent. (, , )
National Review: The Corner: The New York Times Stumbles into a Real Systemic Discrimination Scandal, Yawns
The IRS targeted black Americans with audits at a higher rate than any other group, according to a study by economists and the Treasury Department. The study showed black filers were between three and five times more likely to be flagged for potential errors by claiming common tax credits. The IRS has now admitted to systemically discriminating against black Americans, and lawmakers have called for a reform of its data collection methods. The New York Times has been criticized for its lackluster coverage of the story, which contrasts to its historical coverage of allegations of systemic racism in other industries.
Breitbart: Jim Jordan: Congress Must Consider Going After the FBI's Budget
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) stated on "Hannity" that the Republican-led House of Representatives plans to target the FBI's budget following the release of the Durham probe findings. Jordan said the agency's funding was the only way to "get control of these agencies" after both the Clinton and Biden campaigns worked with the FBI and former intel officials to go after President Trump's campaign. Jordan believes the FBI failed to follow the law, yet still went after Trump because of no evidence connecting him to Russia.
PJ Media: The Ominous Reason Why Biden and His Henchmen Keep Repeating Their False Claim About A White Supremacist Threat
President Biden and his officials continue to claim that white supremacy is the biggest terrorist threat to the US. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas agreed with this statement and emphasized that "domestic violent extremism is our greatest threat right now." This claim is not backed up by evidence, yet it is being repeated by Biden's regime. The aim appears to be to criminalize political dissent, which will require demonizing and stigmatizing ordinary Americans who oppose the president's agenda. There are fears that arrests and prosecutions on false pretenses may follow.
During his speech at Howard University, Biden repeated the lie that Donald Trump had called Nazis "fine people." He then singled out white supremacy as the most dangerous terrorist threat to the US in his Inaugural Address. Biden's regime continues to repeat this false claim, including Gestapo chief Merrick Garland and the FBI. Yet, actual white supremacist terrorists in any significant numbers are lacking. This all seems to be part of an attempt to criminalize political dissent, demonize and stigmatize ordinary Americans who oppose the president's agenda, and stifle public debate. There are fears that arrests and prosecutions on false pretenses may follow.
The Epoch Times: Leaders of Islamic Centre Stripped of Powers by Charity Chiefs
The Islamic Centre of England, which the UK Charity Commission claims has links to Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), has had its trustees removed following "serious governance concerns." The Islamic Centre was given an official warning in 2020 when it held a vigil for IRGC member Qasem Soleimani who was subject to UK financial sanctions. Conservative MP Alicia Kearns called the Charity Commission's decision to remove the trustees "a significant sanction," adding that "all is not well" and hopes the inquiry into the centre will conclude that "the IRGC has no place operating on British soil." The IRGC was linked to at least 15 Iranian-backed kidnap and death plots thwarted by MI5 in the UK in 2020.
The Charity Commission has appointed an interim manager to oversee the Islamic Centre of England following the removal of its trustees. Solicitor Emma Moody will conduct a review of the charity's governance and administration and make recommendations based on her findings. The centre has been under investigation by the Commission after it held a vigil for IRGC member Qasem Soleimani, who was subject to UK financial sanctions over his terror links. Life in the UK has become increasingly difficult for Iranian exiles following attempted Iranian state-sponsored abductions and assassinations. In February, London-based Iranian TV broadcaster Iran International closed its Chiswick studios and moved to the US after police advised that it was no longer possible to protect its staff from threats.
Fox News: NC GOP will attempt override of governor's veto on anti-abortion bill
North Carolina Republicans aim to override the governor's veto of an anti-abortion bill. The legislation would prohibit most abortions after the 12-week mark, but special cases are exempted. Democratic Governor Roy Cooper vetoed the bill last Saturday, saying the Republican-controlled government must protect women’s reproductive health.
The Epoch Times: Tribe's Land Cut Between US and Mexico Amid Border Crisis
- The Pascua Yaqui Tribe's land stretches beyond the Arizona border wall, posing issues for members who need to cross the border for basic necessities and cultural events. Tribal officials have drafted regulations to formalize the border-crossing process, working with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. If approved, these would become the first U.S. border crossing rules specific to a Native American tribe and require training local border agents on the tribe's cultural heritage, language and traditions. The regulations would last five years and ease tribal members' border crossings. Tribes have met challenges as illegal immigration has overwhelmed local, state, and federal officials along the U.S. border.
Red State: Democrats Plan to 'Save' McCarthy If Republicans Revolt Over Debt Ceiling, but They're Missing the Point
McCarthy, Biden, Jeffries, Schumer and McConnell are in negotiations on the debt ceiling, with Democrats stating that "Default is not an option". However, negotiating without appearing more extreme than the Republicans is a problem for the Democrats. A small group of moderate Democrats has reassured House GOP that it can protect McCarthy's gavel if his right flank revolts over a debt agreement. McCarthy's office denied the claim that he could rely on Democrats to keep his job because unless McCarthy agrees to a clean debt ceiling increase, the Republicans have already won. Republicans have taken into account that they may not win the PR war, but they will get something out of the debt ceiling fight. Democrats think it's McCarthy who will need saving when all is said and done.

The Federalist Papers: Hardware Store Owner's Roof Goes 'National': Has Massive American Flag Mural Painted on It
A man in Indiana painted a massive American flag on a hardware store's roof, displaying patriotism and love for the country. Adam Long spent 14 days painting the 10,000 square foot flag on the roof of the Bear Hardware store in Nashville, Indiana. The flag depicts Old Glory waving in the wind, with a soaring bald eagle on the right and a grizzly bear on the left. Long's work speaks volumes about the average American's mindset, reminding us that there are still people in America who are willing to defend our nation, our freedoms, and the American way of life, and that there are more of those people than it seems at first.
Fox News: America's men are in crisis and it's rooted in one big lie
America needs stronger men to address the crisis men are facing in the country. As men struggle with loneliness, drug abuse, and dropping out of the workforce, the left blames masculinity for the world's problems. However, we need men to step up and become leaders, creators, and heroes to change the destiny of their families, whole neighborhoods, and transform the nation for the better. Our ancient faith can guide men to form their character and shape their souls to become the warrior, builder, priest, and king they are called to be. It's time to tell a better story and call our boys and men to lead.
PJ Media: Archie Comics to Introduce Transgender Character
Archie Comics has been known for its wholesome entertainment and iconic characters. However, even this franchise has succumbed to introducing progressive ideologies in its content for children. After introducing a gay character in 2010 and a pansexual character last year, a longstanding female character will be reintroduced as a male who has transitioned to a woman in the Archie Horror line. This transformation highlights the disturbing dissemination of dangerous gender ideology in entertainment for children.

Euromaidan Press: Five Russian border guards injured in alleged drone attack on Russia’s Kursk Oblast – Russian media
A drone allegedly dropped three munitions on the FSB Border Guard Department building in Glushkovo village in Russia’s Kursk Oblast, injuring five Russian border guards. Russian sources claim that a Ukrainian drone committed the attack, while Ukrainian sources denied any involvement. Russia’s Investigative Committee announced probes into “more crimes committed by Ukrainian armed groups against civilians in Kursk and Bryansk oblasts,” including shooting down “a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle” by Russian air defenses in Klintsy, Bryansk Oblast.
Fox News: Floods in Somalia leave 'trail of destruction' across country, according to UN spokesman
Flooding caused by annual rains leaves over 460,000 people in Somalia impacted and nearly 219,000 displaced. At least five people, including three children, have been killed. If rains persist, up to 1.6 million people could be impacted and over 600,000 displaced. The flooding has damaged homes, farmland, and caused the shutdown of health facilities in the Hirshabelle region, including displacement of thousands of families in Beledweyne.
Euromaidan Press: Frontline report: Ukrainians unleash precision strikes in Luhansk, outsmarting Russian air defense
Ukraine surprises with precision strikes on Russian forces in Luhansk instead of Crimea, using decoy missiles to trick air defense. Russians doubt claims of hitting empty buildings six times in a row. Ukrainians chose Luhansk because Russian forces there can adapt to strikes the fastest, while those in Zaporizhzhia and Crimea cannot. Ukrainians also conducted a successful drone attack on Russian military objects in Bryansk Oblast. In Bakhmut, Ukrainians are ramping up artillery preparation and using explosive charges to clear trench networks. Russian forces make gains in Ivanivske and establish control over the local supermarket in Bakhmut. Ukrainians continue drawing Russian forces on themselves to push them to the point of no return.

Foreign Policy: How Beijing Forces Uyghurs to Pick Cotton
Evidence shows that forced Uyghur labor continues in Xinjiang's cotton industry, despite Beijing's claims. Coercive labor transfers for seasonal agricultural work, such as cotton picking, have continued into 2022 and remain part of Xinjiang's official Five-Year Plan for 2021-25. The European Union seeks to ban products made with forced labor, but if legislation is not updated to target Xinjiang specifically, cotton contaminated with forced labor will still enter global supply chains. Forced labor programs in Xinjiang subject Uyghurs to intensive surveillance, long work hours, political indoctrination, and Chinese language classes, and often separate them from their families and communities.

The Epoch Times: The IRS Is Tracking Down Crypto Tax Evaders
The IRS has found a way to crack the cryptocurrency code and has caught many illegal activities and tax cheats using crypto, resulting in recent cases worth billions of dollars. While cryptocurrency eliminates centralized banking, it can be used for nearly instant and inexpensive transfers of money and has many legitimate uses. However, cryptocurrency transactions are not backed by government agencies and can be volatile, leading to potential losses.
The IRS is cracking down on crypto tax reporting, requiring companies to report gains to the agency. Failure to report accurate tax information could result in fines or jail time. To avoid taxes legally, individuals can buy crypto through a retirement account, hold profits for more than 12 months to receive long-term capital gains tax, and consult with a financial expert.
Forbes: “Hell To Pay”: Michael Lind On A True Good Jobs Strategy
Michael Lind's new book "Hell to Pay" takes aim at the "Good Jobs" strategies of the Biden Administration, arguing that the central issue of the time is the wage gap. Lind proposes a series of his own strategies for improving the situation of low wage workers, including trade and immigration policies, welfare state reforms, and a number of new government wage support structures and supports aimed at low wage jobs. These policies, in Lind's view, will begin a movement back to the middle class economy of the first three decades of the post-World War II period. Lind emphasizes the need to change the structure of low wage jobs, rather than simply moving some workers into middle class jobs at the expense of others.
National Review: The Corner: Bahnsen Takes the Fight Today to JPMorgan Chase
Financial advisor David Bahnsen uses a shareholder-resolution to get JPMorgan Chase to investigate its 'debanking' of conservatives and religious organizations. JPM is accused of canceling accounts without notice or explanation, which has led the company to be classed as 'high risk' when it comes to denial of services based on views and beliefs. Bahnsen asks the company to investigate this matter of great importance and report the results to the owners of the company.

The men, at least 55 years old, were buried under a collapsed wall that occurred during an earthquake that happened in AD 79 following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The discovery suggests that many victims of the eruption were also killed by powerful earthquakes that occurred at the same time.

Forbes: Republicans Increasingly Oppose School-Mandated Vaccines—Though Americans Still Support Childhood Vaccines, Poll Finds
Despite shifting attitudes towards school mandates and hesitancy towards COVID-19 vaccines, support for childhood vaccinations, particularly for MMR vaccines, remains high among Americans. According to a Pew Research Centre poll, approximately 90% of Americans agree that the benefits of childhood vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella outweigh the risks. Nevertheless, Pew found growing signs of vaccine hesitancy among parents as well as shifting attitudes towards vaccine requirements for children to attend public school, driven by a decline in Republicans supporting school vaccine requirements.

Fox News: Natalee Holloway suspect Joran van der Sloot’s Peru prison on lockdown, complicating extradition, lawyer says
Joran van der Sloot's lawyer could not speak to him after a prison incident at a penitentiary in Peru, resulting in his inability to file a habeas corpus petition to paralyze his extradition to the US on federal extortion charges. Facing charges of extortion and wire fraud, van der Sloot is the prime suspect in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba. His lawyer has planned to go to Challapalca, the prison in which van der Sloot is held, to discuss filing the petition face-to-face this Tuesday. Van der Sloot's family believes that he would rather serve time in Alabama than the prison in which he is held, due to its notoriously poor conditions.
Van der Sloot is serving a sentence in Peru until June 2038 in connection to the murder of Stephany Flores in 2010, but the US Marshals will facilitate his transport if the extradition process is completed. A medical examination will be conducted if van der Sloot decides not to fight extradition, after which U.S Marshals will transport him on a commercial flight or government plane to Alabama to face charges. The extradition procedure could cause delays until August at the latest. If convicted in the US, van der Sloot will serve up to 40 years in federal prison after his sentence finishes in Peru.

Fox News: Oliver Darcy keeps swiping CNN's 'widely criticized town hall' after scolding from boss, knocks ratings dive
CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy faces uncertainty as he continues to criticize the network's Trump town hall despite being warned by his bosses. Darcy cited the town hall for the network's poor viewership numbers on Friday, noting that it marked a rare ratings defeat. Darcy previously expressed concern about resigning or being fired after being publicly scolded by CNN CEO Chris Licht for his "emotional" coverage of the town hall. CNN says Darcy isn't resigning, but the level of tension between Darcy and his bosses is unclear. CNN faced significant backlash from left-wing critics for hosting former President Trump for the town hall event.
