Daily Wire: Florida Sends 800 Soldiers, 300 Law Enforcement Officers To Help Secure U.S. Border In Texas
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is sending over 1,100 assets to Texas to assist Governor Greg Abbott in combatting illegal immigration amid the highest number of illegal border crossings recorded in U.S. history with approximately 83,000 last week. DeSantis has directed state agencies including law enforcement and the Florida National Guard to send assets including personnel, boats, and planes to Texas to help respond to the crisis. DeSantis warned that despite claims of falling illegal border crossings, the situation at the southern border is potentially going to be very bad very shortly and calls for the border to be shut down.
DeSantis has said he wants to finish President Trump's border wall as only 85 miles of new primary and secondary wall were built in areas that had no preexisting border barriers during Trump's administration. DeSantis firmly believes that the border should be shut down and has called for a policy where illegal immigrants get sent back across the border instead of getting notices to appear for trial in two years. Additionally, the governor wants to hold Mexican drug cartels accountable as a large amount of fentanyl comes into the country because of the border.

Parents and students in New York City are protesting Mayor Eric Adams' decision to house border crossers and illegal aliens in public school gyms. They are chanting slogans such as "No shelter on school grounds" and "Gyms are for children," claiming that while they cut recess for students, migrants get to stay with free pizza and sandwiches. New York City schools, such as PS 188 in Coney Island and PS 17 in Williamsburg, are currently housing nearly 100 migrants in their gyms. The cost of aiding migrants is expected to reach $4 billion by the middle of next year.

Fox News: RFK Jr. says Dems have become 'party of war,' Americans can't afford a $1,000 emergency
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed that the Democratic Party has undergone a 180-degree turn on their antiwar outlook as the party has become entrenched in the mentality of war, leaving middle-class Americans to feel the strain of the economy. As the top runner-up to President Biden in the 2024 primaries, Kennedy has compared the trillions spent on military funding to the lack of domestic infrastructure, education, and employment funds. He emphasized that Americans are tired of being in a perpetual state of warfare and surveillance with little improvement in their daily lives.
Kennedy has adamantly stated that he holds no personal grudge against President Biden, as he has been friends with him for a long time; however, he believes that the country needs a president to listen to the needs of the middle class, and Biden is not fulfilling that role. He compared the decline of middle-class income and wealth from 1978 to 2020, claiming that the country's real national strength comes from robust economic power and a robust middle class, not projecting military power abroad. According to Kennedy, Trump's pandemic lockdown created 500 new billionaires while forcing the middle class and low-income Americans to struggle.

The Epoch Times: DeSantis Signs Bills Strengthening Fight Against Human Trafficking
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed four bills to crack down on human trafficking, including imposing tougher penalties, expanding public awareness, covering businesses such as hotels and strip clubs, and allowing victims to recover damages from adult entertainment establishments. DeSantis tied the problem to the southern border and the failed control policies of President Joe Biden’s administration, saying that more than a quarter-million unaccompanied alien minors have entered the US since January 2021, with 72% of all human trafficking victims being illegal immigrants. The bills increase penalties for adult entertainment establishments that exploit minors and allow victims to receive restitution when traffickers’ assets are seized and sold. Additionally, the bills require prostitution and lewdness offenders to attend an educational program that will direct them to supportive resources and mandate child residents in safe houses be educated about human trafficking.
Survivor Savannah Parvu spoke on the issue, sharing her experience of being sold into prostitution by her mother and trafficked from the age of 11, eventually speaking out on the problem after years of abuse. Attorney General Ashley Moody described how eight young women smuggled across the border were held in sexual servitude, while Sergeant Thomas McInerney of the Broward County Sheriff’s office emphasized education and awareness provisions in the new laws as being key in providing intelligence to law enforcement to combat human trafficking. The same goes for group homes and foster care systems, where children are vulnerable and traffickers use targeted grooming practices. The bills represent Florida’s efforts to put human traffickers out of business and into jail.
