Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron won the state's GOP gubernatorial primary, defeating Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles and former UN Ambassador Kelly Craft. Cameron is the state's first African American attorney general and became the first major-party Black gubernatorial nominee in the state's history. He secured 45.4% and Trump endorsed him. He now faces off against current Democratic Governor Andy Beshear in November.

The media is to blame for America's current divisiveness. Fox News filled a need for fair and balanced reporting for conservatives, and CNN moved to the left as a result. This has resulted in Americans getting different news, with the border crisis being an example of this. While New York Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger calls for an independent press, he focuses only on how stories are covered and pushes for news coverage of leftist priorities like climate change, leaving the question of what news to cover unanswered. The free market may eventually solve this problem, and the first outlet to embrace independence will be the winner.
Breitbart: Oregon GOP Conducts Multi-Day Walkout Over Extreme Abortion Bill
Republican state senators in Oregon are boycotting floor sessions in response to a far-left bill that would allow minors to access transgender drugs and procedures and have abortions without parental consent. Four state senators have surpassed the ten-day limit, while six more are set to reach it by Thursday, thereby preventing lawmakers from passing a budget and being reelected. Republicans walked out over the radical bill, known as HB 2002B, and a 1979 law rediscovered that requires bill summaries to be written at an eighth-grade level. The Senate GOP has started a political action committee, Oregon’s 13 Constitutional Defense Fund, to launch legal action against Measure 113, which prevents absent lawmakers from running for reelection.

The Durham report clears Donald Trump of collusion allegations, according to former Attorney General William Barr. However, Barr did not support Trump's return to the White House, instead saying he was not fit to lead the Republican Party. Barr believes that people who want to restore America should seek a big victory that brings strength to Congress and allows for fundamental changes. The Durham report found that Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign launched a "smear" offensive based on finding Russian sources to undermine Trump. Both the press and the FBI abandoned professionalism and took up the Clinton campaign’s cause, according to Barr. The problems at the bureau were all among the top brass at the time, while Barr added that effective changes have been enacted since Christopher Wray took over as the current director.

Elon Musk defended his controversial tweets about billionaire George Soros, which drew accusations of anti-Semitism from civil rights groups. Musk claimed he is pro-Jewish and believes in freedom of speech. He has not explained what prompted his Twitter outburst, which followed Soros Fund Management selling its $16m holding in Tesla stock. Soros has been the target of conspiracy theories among the far-right. Ukraine was defended by the recently-arrived Patriot surface-to-air missile system and claimed to have intercepted all Russian missiles and drones. However, the Russian government claims that a Kinzhal hypersonic missile destroyed a US-built Patriot missile defence system during the strike.

Daily Wire: U.S. Convoy Attacked In Nigeria, 4 Killed: Report
Assailants attacked a US convoy in Nigeria, killing four people including two police officers and two US consulate staff, and kidnapping three others in the southeastern Anambra state. Separatists who want to start their own country are suspected of the attack, which occurred 40 miles away from the state capital in Atani. The US State Department confirmed no American citizens were injured and that they were not present in the convoy. There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the attack in Nigeria.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) criticized Turkey’s elections for being unfair and for media bias in favor of Erdogan. Despite polls showing Erdogan falling behind, he came out ahead with 49.5% of the vote, setting up a runoff election with Kemal Kilicdaroglu on May 28. The OSCE reported that there was unfair advantages for the incumbent, such as aggressive censorship of opposition media, and lacking transparency in the process for handling complaints. Two members of the OSCE team were denied accreditation, causing disappointment and concern.

NJ police arrested three teenagers in relation to the murder of a taxi cab driver in Franklin Township. The three teenagers entered the cab of the 57-year-old driver with the intention of robbing him but ended up shooting him instead during the botched robbery. The three were charged with first degree murder and numerous other charges, and were sent to a youth detention center.
Fox News: Massachusetts AG investigating Boston PD's gang unit for alleged racial bias
The Massachusetts attorney general's office is investigating possible racial bias by the Boston Police Department's youth violence strike force and its gang assessment database. The police department is cooperating with the investigation while civil libertarians have criticized the database as flawed and disproportionately targeting Black and Latino men. Last year, a Salvadoran man won a case against deportation partially based on his inclusion on the list. The investigation is ongoing and no findings or conclusions have been made yet.
Fox News: Wisconsin teacher charged with making terrorist threats after seeing swastikas in notebook
A Wisconsin middle school teacher, David Schroeder, threatened his own students after finding swastikas drawn on a notebook and later discovering two students with a drawing featuring swastikas on it. Schroeder told students "I wish pain on all of you and your families" on confronting them over the drawing. He also threatened to have his daughter visit the student's homes with a baseball bat and claimed that "all Jews have guns", as he himself admitted to owning 17 firearms. The teacher admitted to being enraged and wanting to hurt the students who drew the swastikas. Schroeder was booked into the county jail for making terrorist threats and exposing a child to harmful material.
