Fox News: GOP warns insurance companies on ESG policies: ‘Americans are paying the price’
GOP warns insurance companies on ESG policies: ‘Americans are paying the price’
Republican attorneys general warn insurance companies that pushing customers "to rapidly reduce their emissions" and other efforts to "advance an activist climate agenda" could be a violation of antitrust law. Companies who got the letter have agreements to push these priorities with the Net-Zero Insurance Alliance (NZIA) and Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance (NZAOA), which the AGs say could violate both state and federal antitrust laws. Under antitrust laws, agreements not to do business with disfavored sectors – such as those that don't meet certain carbon emissions standards could be an illegal boycott. (, )

Fox News: Why this Democrat thinks Ted Cruz should be very worried about a former NFL linebacker in 2024
Why this Democrat thinks Ted Cruz should be very worried about a former NFL linebacker in 2024
Democrat Congressman Colin Allred will challenge incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz in the 2024 U.S. Senate election in Texas. Allred, a former NFL linebacker and UC Berkeley-trained attorney, will be a strong contender for the Democratic Party after raising more than $2 million in the first 36 hours of his campaign. No Democrat has won a statewide election in Texas since 1994, but Allred's candidacy presents a possible chance to change that statistic. Senator Cruz, who is facing a third term, is already facing unpopularity amongst Texans due to recent controversies such as his infamous Cancun trip during the winter storm.

Texas' growing and increasingly diverse population may also work in Allred's favor, changing the voter demographic since Cruz's return to Washington in 2018. Texas now holds as many white and Latino residents, and was the largest-gaining state in the nation between 2020 and 2021, according to recent censuses. Cruz is one of the ten most unpopular senators, and Allred's impressive fundraising start demonstrates considerable support from Texas voters. This promising start shows the potential for breaking a 3-decade losing streak for Democrats in statewide elections in Texas, with the possibility of a former NFL player defeating a senator who has been undefeated in Texas elections to date.

American Thinker: Durham proved a vast conspiracy to deceive voters about Trump and Russia, but won't indict anyone, so media can bury the story
Durham proved a vast conspiracy to deceive voters about Trump and Russia, but won't indict anyone, so media can bury the story
John Durham's report exposes a conspiracy involving federal officials, legacy media, the Hillary Clinton campaign, and the Obama administration. Everyone in this group knew that Trump was innocent but he was still smeared and spied on. The FBI and DOJ failed to follow strict fidelity to the law during the investigation. This conspiracy was a means to prevent Trump from winning the election and then ejecting him from office. The fake Russia conspiracy was chosen to achieve this goal and gin up righteous outrage among the American public, while lending support for the coming war with Russia. However, nobody will be prosecuted, and Durham's report fails to uphold the important mission of strict fidelity to the law.

DeSantis Signs Bill Banning Woke DEI Initiatives In Higher Education
Governor Ron DeSantis signed three bills restricting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in Florida's institutions. SB 266 prohibits DEI initiatives using federal or state funds, HB 931 prohibits public institutions from using political loyalty tests, while SB 240 expands access to career and technical education programs. SB 266, which directly targets woke ideologies in higher education, prohibits university programs that promote theories of systemic racism, sexism, oppression, and privilege and requires university presidents' accountability for hiring, promoting and disciplining faculty.

U.S. Virgin Islands Subpoenas Elon Musk For Docs In Its Lawsuit Against JPMorgan Chase In Epstein Case: Report
Elon Musk has criticized a subpoena from the US Virgin Islands government demanding he hand over documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein. The Virgin Islands is suing JPMorgan Chase over its alleged involvement in Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. The subpoena requests documents about Epstein’s role in Musk’s companies, JPMorgan and any fees paid to Epstein or the bank. Musk, who has not been accused of wrongdoing, has denied having any association with Epstein beyond meeting him once in 2019. He mocked the subpoena as “idiotic” and claimed JPMorgan had let his company Tesla down in the past.

Red State: Los Angeles Dodgers Star Pitcher Clayton Kershaw’s Mother Passes Away
Los Angeles Dodgers Star Pitcher Clayton Kershaw’s Mother Passes Away
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw's mother passed away on Mother's Day. The San Diego Padres had previously trolled Kershaw with a photo of him crying displayed on the jumbotron. Sports rivalries are common, but trolling an opposing player is tasteless, especially when the player is a true superstar. Kershaw is well-known for his charity work with organizations in Dallas, Los Angeles, Africa, and the Dominican Republic. Despite his loss, Kershaw will make his next scheduled start on May 16 before going on bereavement leave. Work therapy is necessary for those who suffer loss. Our sympathies go out to Kershaw over his loss.

The Federalist: Media's Lies About The Durham Report Vs. What The Report Said
Media's Lies About The Durham Report Vs. What The Report Said
Special Counsel John Durham’s report on the FBI’s conduct in relation to its 2016 investigation of Donald Trump and Russia has revealed explicit bias within the FBI against a democratically chosen presidential nominee. The report highlights political bias, dishonesty, and an appalling degree of personal animus, but major media outlets have downplayed the significance of these findings, instead portraying the report as containing little substantial new information and few significant revelations. In reality, Durham's report uncovers the FBI's serious lack of analytical rigor towards information it received from politically affiliated persons and entities, and a significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded by Trump’s political opponents, which were treated as objective data.
