American Thinker: QAnon 2.0?
QAnon 2.0?
QAnon may have been a Deep State intelligence operation to deceive Trump supporters and create a new term for the Left to attack the Right in the lead-up to the 2020 election. Joe Biden is pandering to Black voters and using recent extremist groups like Patriot Front as an excuse for a White supremacist boogeyman ahead of the 2024 election. The public has been manipulated many times before, and we should anticipate an increase in manipulative efforts as the likelihood of a second Trump administration increases alongside a struggling economy. The term “White supremacy” will likely be used to manipulate the public and precondition us for what lies ahead.

New Hampshire historical marker dedicated to feminist activist, Communist Party leader removed
A historical marker dedicated to feminist and Communist Party member, Elizabeth Gurley Flynn, in New Hampshire was removed two weeks after it was unveiled. Republican members argued it was inappropriate due to her political affiliations, but supporters claimed that state guidelines for removing a marker were violated. Flynn, one of 278 people and places commemorated with markers, was a renowned labor activist and founding member of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Whistleblower investigating Hunter Biden for tax fraud faces roadblocks from the IRS with alleged involvement from the Justice Department.

National Review: The Shoddy Russia Investigation
The Shoddy Russia Investigation
The Justice Department released a 306-page report by John Durham on Monday, detailing the FBI's biased investigation into Donald Trump's alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 election. The report reveals that the FBI failed to follow normal processes for foreign counterintelligence investigations and instead showed political and personal bias against Trump. The dossier, which was used to seek surveillance authorization, was self-evidently shoddy and likely prompted one of the dirtiest political tricks in American history.

Durham's Much-Needed Record Of Deep-State And Dem Corruption Proves Conservatives Were Spot-On - The Federalist
Special Counsel John Durham released a report on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, confirming that the FBI launched the investigation without justification. The report also confirmed the Clinton campaign’s role in the Russia-collusion hoax, and focused heavily on Clinton to establish the double standard and political bias at work, while highlighting the media's complicity in the hoax. The report elaborated on the FISA abuse previously summarized by the inspector general, which relied on the unverified claims of the Steele dossier. The report provides the summary Americans need to understand the breadth of the malfeasance in the category.

Fox News: George Papadopoulos touts vindication following Durham report: 'I feel ecstatic'
George Papadopoulos touts vindication following Durham report: 'I feel ecstatic'
Former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos celebrated the release of the report by Special Counsel John Durham, which revealed that the FBI's Trump-Russia investigation had little merit. Papadopoulos, whose oversees encounters were considered by some as a trigger for the probe, hailed Durham's report as a "profound indictment" on the U.S. intelligence community, telling host Will Cain that "heads have to roll" for putting the country through years of unfounded Trump-Russia collusion allegations. Papadopoulos then stated an invitation for Durham to testify before Congress has been issued.

Papadopoulos informed Australian diplomat Alexander Downer of his information that the Russians had dirt in the form of emails that could damage Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Papadopoulos was later charged in former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation with lying to investigators and was sentenced to 14 days in prison and one-year probation. Durham has stated unequivocally that there was no basis or foundation whatsoever to ever launch an investigation.

Fox News: Fired FBI official Andrew McCabe claims Durham report not a 'legitimate investigation': 'Nothing new here'
Fired FBI official Andrew McCabe claims Durham report not a 'legitimate investigation': 'Nothing new here'
Former FBI official Andrew McCabe stands by the original Russia investigation into Donald Trump despite the Durham report revealing no serious basis. McCabe, James Comey's then-deputy director, insists that the report "failed to come up with anything new". McCabe accuses Durham of not producing an honest investigation into the anti-Trump Russia probe and describes it as a political errand to exact retribution on Trump's perceived enemies and the FBI.

McCabe claims he stands by the investigative decisions that they made to open the investigation into Donald Trump, but admits that the mistakes with the Carter Page FISA were regrettable and should never have happened. McCabe defends Robert Mueller's investigation, arguing that it proved that the Russians worked to "influence" the Trump campaign. Meanwhile, Trump calls the investigation a "total disgrace" and claims that he and the American public were victims of a long-running and treasonous charade started by the Democrats and Comey.

The Epoch Times: Pence Allies Launching Super PAC to Fund Anticipated 2024 Bid
Pence Allies Launching Super PAC to Fund Anticipated 2024 Bid
Former Vice President Mike Pence's allies have launched a super PAC called "Committed to America," backing him as a 2024 presidential candidate. The PAC will be co-chaired by former Rep. Jeb Hensarling and Republican strategist Scott Reed and will launch publicly on May 16. While Pence has not officially announced he is running for president in 2024, he has hinted at it and is set to return to New Hampshire for speaking engagements. The PAC plans to reintroduce Pence to the country as his own man, not as a vice president, and will organize all 99 counties in Iowa before expanding to other states.

Fox News: Extended boycott in Oregon disqualifies 3 senators from reelection
Extended boycott in Oregon disqualifies 3 senators from reelection
Republicans in Oregon have been boycotting the Senate for 10 days to stall hundreds of bills, including abortion and sex reassignment measures. Three GOP and Independent senators who took part in the boycott will be disqualified from seeking re-election, according to a new constitutional amendment aimed at stopping such boycotts. While some legislators have rotated in and out, most of the Senate’s minority party stayed away. During weekend negotiations to end the boycott, the Senate Republican leader told Democratic leaders that Republicans would end their boycott “to pass substantially bipartisan budgets and bills that are lawful and constitutional.” The sweeping abortion rights-gender affirming care measure is considered non-negotiable by the Democrats.

American Thinker: Debunking the ‘Trump can’t win the general’ Myth
Debunking the ‘Trump can’t win the general’ Myth
Donald Trump's chances of winning the general election are being dismissed by many career politicians and news outlets, despite his better-than-expected performance in swing states such as Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin in the 2016 and 2020 US Presidential election. Trump's outperformance in these traditional 'blue' states is indicative of the widespread enthusiasm for him across the nation. Primary challenges and the candidate who generates the most enthusiasm within their party's base are considered the most reliable predictors of victory in American elections. Analysts believe a perfect storm is brewing in Trump's favor for a potential 2024 presidential candidacy.

Fox News: Peter Strzok says Durham investigation 'never should have taken place' after being named in report
Peter Strzok says Durham investigation 'never should have taken place' after being named in report
Ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok appeared on MSNBC's "The ReidOut" to criticize Special Counsel John Durham's report finding that the FBI investigation into Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign for Russia collusion had "bias" and a "lack of analytic rigor." Strzok, who was referenced in the report, argued that the investigation "never should have taken place" and that Durham's findings were due to his own "cognitive bias." However, Strzok himself was previously fired from the FBI for bias against Trump during the "Crossfire Hurricane" investigation.

Fox Producer Tells O'Keefe Media That Tucker Carlson Was Fired as Part of Dominion Deal
Fox News producer Sean Langille claims that Tucker Carlson was ousted from the network as part of a Dominion Voting Systems settlement deal. Dominion sued the news channel for $1.6 billion over allegedly defamatory claims that its voting systems were rigged. Undercover journalists recorded Langille discussing the placement of advertisers and the influence of Big Tech & Pharma, alleging that former 'Press Secretary to First Lady and Special Assistant to the President' Michael LaRosa now works for PR firm Dominion Voting Systems, whose message LaRosa is in charge of creating.

Fox News: Disgraced ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok reacts to Durham report on Trump-Russia collusion with victory lap
Disgraced ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok reacts to Durham report on Trump-Russia collusion with victory lap
Former FBI agent Peter Strzok appeared to celebrate the release of Special Counsel John Durham's report on the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation. Strzok listed several individuals who ultimately faced federal charges stemming from the investigation, claiming that despite most of the charges involving financial crimes and making false statements, the investigation ultimately found no evidence of Russian collusion. The report, which was released after a years-long investigation, concluded that "the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report."

National Review: What Happened When Immigration Fell?
What Happened When Immigration Fell?
Between 2016 to 2019, legal and illegal immigration fell significantly in the US due to the Trump administration's restriction policies which included efforts to limit welfare eligibility, restricting refugee admissions, and increasing worksite enforcement against illegal immigrants. The decline in immigration did not lead to a drop in economic growth but instead saw GDP grow at a rate higher than the preceding three years. Furthermore, real wages for US-born workers without a bachelor's degree grew 3.2 percent from 2016 to 2019 and the labor-force-participation rate also increased for this group. The decline in immigration illustrates that high levels of immigration aren't necessarily essential for America's economy to prosper, and instead, the slowdown led to higher wages for American workers without sparking inflation.

American Thinker: Is Sanity Returning?
Is Sanity Returning?
Consumers are boycotting Anheuser-Busch and Bud Lite due to the company's radical leftist agenda, which includes using a transgender model to promote the beer. Many other companies and the government are pushing similar agendas, leading to public backlash and decreased sales. The Navy is also struggling to meet recruiting goals and has turned to using a drag-queen sailor to boost recruitment, causing further controversy and rejection by potential recruits.

Forbes: Signs Of Distress, In The Subprime End Of The Auto Insurance Pool
Signs Of Distress, In The Subprime End Of The Auto Insurance Pool
Auto insurance shoppers with subprime credit are struggling to afford insurance, with almost 15% allowing their auto insurance to lapse or driving without valid insurance. Some of the uninsured shoppers cited "inability to pay" as the primary reason, with 30% claiming this. Michelle Jackson, senior director at TransUnion, believes one reason for this is due to the broader inflation which is impacting consumer wallets and making them more constrained. However, the survey also showed a rise in insurance shopping behavior as consumers search for better rates out of necessity and partly because technology makes it easier to shop for online quotes.

Consumers aren't necessarily finding the lower rates they are looking for while shopping for insurance quotes online. The average number of sites visited by insurance shoppers is rising, which is likely due to transparency and an abundance of options. Interestingly, an increasing share of insurance shoppers are seeking quotes from insurance agents, counter to the trend towards online shopping. This could imply that consumers are deciding they need help finding cheaper insurance they haven't been able to find on their own. Unfortunately, even those who seek help from insurance agents are still not finding cheaper prices.

National Review: New Industrial Policy, Same as the Old Industrial Policy
New Industrial Policy, Same as the Old Industrial Policy
National-security adviser Jake Sullivan describes the Biden administration's economic approach as a "modern American industrial strategy," which emphasizes government partnerships with the private sector and government direction of the economy. However, the track record for industrial policy success is mixed, as government is operating from a knowledge deficit compared to businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and investors who are subjecting themselves to the discipline of the market. The alleged climate crisis justifies whatever irrationality or cost is imposed on the economy, and what the new industrial policy gives with one hand, the old industrial policy and its attendant red tape take away with the other.

American Thinker: David French hits a foul ball on Jordan Neely and 'rule of law' in New York
David French hits a foul ball on Jordan Neely and 'rule of law' in New York
Jordan Neely's death on the New York subway system highlights the problem of the homeless and mentally challenged in the city. The author, David French, questions the "failing" of New York's rule of law with regards to subway crimes and argues that Neely should not have been on that subway car. While he acknowledges that Neely had been arrested over three dozen times, he still thinks that the "rule of law" has failed in New York. The author argues that it does not take a cynic to wonder how soon civil suits will be filed in this case.

The Phoenix Suns Could Give The Sixers A James Harden Lifeline
James Harden is reportedly considering a return to the Houston Rockets as a free agent, but the Phoenix Suns are also in contention for his services. However, if the Suns acquire Harden via sign-and-trade, they will be hard-capped and have limited financial flexibility to fill out their roster. The Suns may need to involve a third team, such as the Indiana Pacers, to make a deal work.

When Generative AI Refuses To Answer Questions, AI Ethics And AI Law Get Deeply Worried
Generative AI is at times refusing to respond to user-entered prompts, raising concerns about the AI's ability to ascertain what information we should and shouldn't know. Refusals by AI can be short or elaborate and are based on computational and mathematical calculations that determine whether the prompt is suitable for a response. However, the use of refusals by generative AI is a controversial issue as it can suggest bias and cause users to question the AI's intent. The decision of when and how to emit refusals is at the discretion of the AI maker and AI developers, highlighting the need for ethical AI principles and AI laws.
