American Thinker: Biden wants to kill electric power from natural gas
Biden’s EPA is pushing for fossil fuel power plants to adopt cost-ineffective regulations, flouting the Clean Air Act and with the goal of forcing them into early retirement, alleges an editorial in the Wall Street Journal. The EPA’s plan would allegedly require fossil fuel plants to adopt “carbon capture and green hydrogen technologies that aren't currently cost-effective or feasible” to reduce emissions. The goal is purportedly to advance an elimination of fossil fuel power generation. The EPA is accused of deliberately “stacking burdensome rules onto coal plants” to force the industry to pivot to a more renewable future.
The Federalist: John Brennan Should Be In Prison
The Durham report revealed that the FBI ignored evidence to maintain the Trump-Russia collusion investigation, even after the Steele dossier was discredited. CIA Director John Brennan was interviewed about his knowledge of collusion, admitting there was no evidence, yet he spent four years publicly spreading conspiracy theories. Despite Brennan's actions and past illegal surveillance, he still has access to classified documents. The Senate has yet to hold him accountable.
National Review: The Real Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential race and gained popularity in the polls, causing alarm among supporters of President Biden. However, the party establishment and like-minded reporters from the Washington Post and New York Times immediately denigrated Kennedy as a "fringe figure" due to his controversial and dangerous views, including challenging pandemic lockdowns and Anthony Fauci's conduct and veracity. Despite his impressive start, Kennedy is still rejected by the media and relegated to the same category as "fringe figure Lyndon LaRouche." Kennedy's independence and resilience draw attention to his traits to admire, but his critics continue to disparage him lazily and slanderously.

The American left, including media and education sectors, was wrong about almost everything on COVID-19, from lockdowns to vaccines and blamed the unvaccinated for rising cases. They were accused of numerous healthcare "sins" and called "lunatics" who were "killing people." However, it quickly became apparent that the mRNA jabs weren't working to stop transmission or infection, and the viciousness and self-righteousness displayed by "leaders" during the pandemic will go down as one of the darker periods in American history.

Special Counsel John Durham's report reveals that the Obama-era FBI launched a full investigation of the Trump campaign in 2016 without any evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia. Officials, including President Obama, knew that the false narrative that Trump was colluding with Moscow was made up by the Clinton campaign to distract from Hillary Clinton's own email server scandal. The report is a reminder that we can't sustain a self-governing republic under these conditions and that it would be better if we had no FBI at all than the corrupt agency we have now.
National Review: The Left’s Convenient About-Face on the Supreme Court
New York Times columnist Jamelle Bouie argues for the Democratic Party to delegitimize the current Supreme Court, claiming it mostly protects "the rights of property and the prerogatives of the privileged." However, the judiciary's role is to interpret and apply existing law, not further public policy. Bouie is correct that the Court leans toward stability but wrong in condemning it. The Constitution is hard to amend, making the Court's role vital. The judges protect citizens from the reach of oppressive political forces and help ensure adherence to the decision-making procedures mandated in the Constitution. The Court should be defended as the preserver of the rule of law.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr criticized Donald Trump's abilities as a strategic thinker and accused him of delivering chaos that would set his policies back. However, Barr's own leadership as head of the Department of Justice contributed to the growth of the tumor of corruption within the department, which he ignored rather than disrupted. Barr's failure to address DOJ corruption resulted in a legacy of abuses under the Merrick Garland DOJ. A disruptor like Trump remains necessary to address systemic corruption and two-tiered justice in the government.

Congress is allowed to ensure that the US government meets its obligations, but borrowing more than the current debt limit is illegal. The amendment does not give the president the power to create more debt or use it to pay off existing debt obligations. The government will have to pay its debt obligations with current revenue, and there is enough money coming in to pay existing debt and most government services. Failure to balance the budget or raise the debt limit would not cause default, but the possibility of the president violating the law is a recipe for calamity.
