The Epoch Times: More Than 4,000 Illegal Immigrant 'Gotaways' Since Title 42 Ended: Border Patrol Chief
More Than 4,000 Illegal Immigrant 'Gotaways' Since Title 42 Ended: Border Patrol Chief
4,316 illegal immigrants evaded Border Patrol authorities in the first three days after Title 42 expired on May 11, according to United States Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz. 14,752 illegal immigrants were apprehended, while Border Patrol agents identified five sex offenders and a wanted felon, seized four pounds of marijuana, one pound of cocaine, two firearms, and $58,758, and reported that three of their agents were assaulted in that 72-hour period. Many migrants worried about tougher enforcement measures began arriving at the border before Title 42 expired.

While the Biden administration has reported a drop in migrant encounters at the border, S. Republican officials have expressed skepticism, and last week Republicans in the House of Representatives passed legislation to resume border wall construction and increase the number of Border Patrol agents at the border. The legislation also applies more strict standards to the asylum process, but faces tougher odds of passing in the Democrat-controlled Senate, let alone gaining Biden’s signature.

Biden official takes fire in heated exchange over stripping lunch money from schools protecting girls' sports
Republican lawmaker Jim Banks grilled Education Secretary Miguel Cardona on the proposed changes to Title IX rules, which would require schools receiving federal funding to let biological males compete in girls' sports. Banks questioned Cardona on the impact on students, particularly students who rely on school lunch programs. Cardona avoided answering directly, leading Banks to accuse the administration of taking away school lunches from needy kids due to their "radical agenda". The proposed changes to Title IX rules aim to ensure students have equal opportunity to participate in male and female athletic teams regardless of their gender identity.

‘Betrayal’: FBI Agents Working On Russia Probe Say Leaders Concealed Intelligence On Hillary’s Role
A major CIA memo warning about U.S. intelligence that Hillary Clinton may have hatched a plan to frame Donald Trump in the 2016 election went missing, according to a report from the Special Counsel. The memo was sent to lead agent Peter Strzok and considered so important that the CIA's director immediately briefed President Obama, but no FBI employee working for Strzok who was interviewed could remember seeing the memo. The FBI had received the intelligence but bosses had seemingly concealed it from agents who dealt with the Russia investigation.

Fox News: FBI ignored 'clear warning sign' of Clinton-led effort to 'manipulate' bureau for 'political purposes'
FBI ignored 'clear warning sign' of Clinton-led effort to 'manipulate' bureau for 'political purposes'
Special Counsel John Durham found that the FBI "failed to act" on a "clear warning sign" that the bureau was the "target" of a Hillary Clinton-led effort to "manipulate or influence the law enforcement process for political purposes" ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Durham referred to intelligence on a plan stirred up by Clinton's presidential campaign in July 2016 to tie then-candidate Donald Trump to Russia. Durham found that the FBI did not have any actual evidence to support the start of the investigation. However, Durham's team could not charge anyone related to omission or failure to act on the "Clinton Plan Intelligence."

Republicans Vow Accountability for FBI Politicization Detailed in Durham Report as Democrats Mostly Mum
House Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Mike Turner is calling for Congress to establish new safeguards to prevent a reoccurrence of the FBI’s highly politicized investigation of allegations of Donald Trump’s campaign colluding with the Russian government, as revealed in the Durham Report. He insists that such errors and shortcomings should never happen again and it is essential for Congress to establish “clear guardrails” to restore public trust in law enforcement institutions. Meanwhile, Democrats are mostly silent on the matter, with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin stating the Durham report offers no meaningful recommendations on how the FBI can improve the application of its surveillance authorities and did not present new information. Republican lawmakers fume at the report's findings of the FBI's actions and are calling for accountability for the FBI.

Shameful 'Journalists' Enabled the FBI's Persecution of Donald Trump Over Russia Collusion Hoax
The recently released Durham report confirms that law enforcement officials used unverified intel from the Clinton campaign to unjustifiably target Donald Trump. Mainstream media outlets like the Washington Post and CNN played a key role in pushing the narrative and omitting evidence of FBI/DOJ wrongdoing. Many of these journalists are refusing to reflect on their part in perpetuating a false narrative and appear to lack integrity. Meanwhile, independent journalists at RedState, who prioritize truth over popularity, are holding those in power accountable.

Fox News: Democrat downplays attacks on churches after Dobbs abortion decision: What is the ‘relevance?'
Democrat downplays attacks on churches after Dobbs abortion decision: What is the ‘relevance?'
Rep. Hank Johnson, a Democrat member of Congress, appeared to minimize attacks against churches when discussing assaults on pro-life pregnancy centers in a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the FACE Act. Johnson criticized the inclusion of the Center for Religious Liberty's director, Arielle Del Turco, on the panel and conflated acts of hostility against churches to acts of violence against pregnancy centers. Though Del Turco's report did not document any murders, it detailed bomb and pipe bomb threats against churches. Johnson claimed that Del Turco's testimony was good for another hearing, not the one in which they were currently participating ( ).

Last week, JMJ Pregnancy Center in Orlando, Florida, was vandalized, with mutilated animal bodies, including a beheaded chicken and lamb, left on the property. The pro-life pregnancy center was the most recent of many across the country targeted by radical abortion activists. It is unknown if the animals were mutilated onsite or dumped after being mutilated elsewhere. Exclusive photos of the attack indicate that the animals were left there in what was determined to be a "ritualistic scene." ( )

PJ Media: What Happens to the Democrats Who Claimed They Had Evidence of Collusion?
What Happens to the Democrats Who Claimed They Had Evidence of Collusion?
The Durham report reveals no evidence of collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia, as was previously claimed by Democrats. Top Obama officials had testified to never seeing any empirical evidence of collusion, yet Democrats such as Schiff, Swalwell, Blumenthal, and Nadler repeatedly claimed such evidence existed. These lies were designed to undermine Trump's presidency and cast doubt on the 2016 election results. Sadly, these Democrats will likely never be held accountable for their destructive lies.

Republicans Can't Afford To Cower In The Weaponization Fight
Special Counsel John Durham's report confirms Obama Administration's and the FBI's collusion with the Democrats and the media to bring down former President Trump before his election. Durham expos, the years of corruption and collective bias fueling the 'Russia Russia Russia' lies, but punishing corruption in high government places remains, with the GOP now expected to leverage the momentum the Durham expos created to punish those who continue to weaponize against Americans. The FBI continues unresponsive under the Biden administration with an ongoing lack of transparency, and Republicans fear the FBI won't be held accountable for the conspiracy against Trump.

Biden Issues Rare, Third Veto Against Solar Panels Measure
Biden vetoed a bipartisan bill aiming to reinstate tariffs on South-East Asian solar products to prevent China from circumventing trade rules through its neighbors, which he said would hinder the U.S.'s carbon-free electricity goals by hurting the solar industry, adding he will not extend the tariff suspension after a two-year period. Democrats siding with the solar industry echoed his view, while Republicans warned of China dominating the market through illegal practices.

Where In The @#%* Are President Biden And Vice President Harris?
President Biden and Vice President Harris have been absent amidst a multitude of crises in America. Cities are falling apart with rampant homelessness and drug use, and the crises of the border, federal debt, and lack of affordable healthcare continue to worsen. There is also a mental health epidemic and soaring overdose deaths. Inflation is skyrocketing, and a recent study states that 58% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.

Despite mounting issues, Biden has spent 40% of his presidency on vacation and refused to visit the border, saying it would be "disruptive." The White House's schedule for Biden's week features trivial events like attending a graduation and a Jewish American Heritage Month celebration. Meanwhile, Harris, appointed as "Border Czar," has no public events scheduled for the week except a meeting with young entrepreneurs and a pro-abortion event.

Prince Harry still fighting for police protection in UK after being denied
Prince Harry's lawyer argued in a London court to allow the Duke of Sussex to challenge the government's denial of his request to pay for police protection when he visits the U.K. The government claimed that using "police officers as private bodyguards for the wealthy" is not the same as reimbursing for security at special events. Prince Harry stated that he doesn't feel safe bringing his children to the U.K. without proper police security, and his U.S. security team does not have jurisdiction abroad or access to UK intelligence. The judge is expected to rule at a later time.

Bud Light is struggling with sales, as a social experiment conducted by Clay Travis reveals that it is the least popular beer at parties. The experiment involved filling a cooler with Bud Light and other beers and leaving it alone for the duration of the party, with the results showing that only the Bud Light remained at the end of the night. The brand recently drew criticism for using transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney, to market the product. Chad Prather argues that this is exploitation and comes with dangerous messaging. He is refusing to leave the topic alone.

Twitter Sued For Allegedly Helping Saudi Government Arrest Dissident
Twitter is being sued by the sister of an American citizen, Abdulrahman Al-Sadhan, who was arrested in 2018 and sentenced to 20 years in a Saudi Arabian prison for dissent against the regime. The complainant alleges Twitter provided identifying information of her brother to Saudi officials, which violated the social media company’s terms and conditions and put every Twitter user at risk. The plaintiff also alleges Twitter allowed Saudi officials to access information on “thousands” of anonymous users who posted critical or embarrassing information about the Saudi regime. This lawsuit builds on the August 2022 conviction of former Twitter manager Ahmad Abouamm, who allegedly shared personal information of dissidents with the Saudi government.

Chinese students at Berklee College of Music in Boston are reportedly at risk of campus harassment by those who align themselves with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). A female alumni of Berklee was stalked by Xiaolei Wu, a 25-year-old music student, who was later charged with stalking. Wu allegedly led a harassment campaign against her after she had posted flyers that supported China's "white paper" movement against the country's "draconian zero-Covid policy". Berklee has reportedly not taken appropriate actions to specifically address CCP-related harassment, having failed to protect the victim. Meanwhile, Chinese officials are believed to have intensified surveillance and harassment of Chinese students in the US.

Fox News: Biden admin announces plans for IRS direct file system
Biden admin announces plans for IRS direct file system
The Biden administration plans to launch a free government-run tax filing system, allowing taxpayers to file their taxes directly with the IRS free-of-charge without using a third-party service. The direct file option would be one of many options available to taxpayers, and the IRS will roll out the pilot programme during the 2024 tax filing season. The move aims to provide an accessible option for American taxpayers who want to file their taxes for free online and ultimately minimise their costs.

However, a nonpartisan study revealed that direct file was relatively unpopular among Americans compared to filing through private software or a system where the IRS automatically files their returns. Only 15% of Americans would use an IRS direct e-file system, even if it was able to prepare state returns and provide the same functionality as a free commercial software. In this scenario, 48% preferred the commercial software they use, and 37% preferred a system in which the IRS automatically filed their taxes. Nonetheless, proponents argue that filing taxes is currently expensive and time-consuming for American taxpayers and that they deserve a free and easy option that allows them to file their taxes directly online with the IRS.

Willis also challenged Trump’s use of the group’s image and likeness, which she said caused public confusion over endorsement. Critics see it as another sign of hate for Trump.

Feds Starts Enrolling Volunteers for mRNA Flu Vaccine Trial
Researchers at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases are conducting Phase 1 trials of an experimental universal influenza vaccine using mRNA technology, dubbed H1ssF-3928 mRNA-LNP. The vaccine targets the “stem” part of the influenza hemagglutinin protein displayed on the surface of a ferritin nanoparticle as the immunogen, as opposed to the changing “head” part of the protein that requires seasonal updates. The trial seeks 50 healthy volunteers aged 18-49 to test the dosage and safety of the vaccine, with data expected to be collected by March 2024. mRNA flu shot candidates by Pfizer and Moderna are also in the works, with no timeline guarantees.

EXCLUSIVE: Leaked Pentagon Report Forensically Dismantled Fauci-Led Natural Origin Study
An internal Pentagon paper written in May 2020 by researchers at the Department of Defense dismantles the Proximal Origin study that Dr. Anthony Fauci used to claim that COVID-19 came from nature. The paper disputes the natural origin case made in Proximal Origin, stating that it is "based not on scientific analysis, but on unwarranted assumptions." Fauci, who directed scientists to pen the study, was later involved in shaping its arguments but concealed his role from the public. The Pentagon paper proves that government officials knew early on in the pandemic that there was no evidence to support a natural origin of the COVID-19 virus.

Maryland health facility's trans-friendly policy could require minor patients to room with opposite sex
A Maryland mental health clinic policy allows transgender minor patients to be roomed with patients of the opposite biological sex. The Behavioral Health Center instructed staff to use preferred pronouns regardless of physical appearance. The patients are assigned to rooms based on their self-identified gender. Roommate complaints about gender identity won't give grounds for an exception to the room assignment policy. A spokesperson said the policy promotes safe care of transgender individuals and is based on Maryland state guidelines. Radical gender theory infiltrating medical institutions is causing real harm, according to former University of Pennsylvania associate dean Dr. Stanley Goldfarb.

Fox News: New report suggests 'panic buying' of medications by patients and providers caused drug shortages
New report suggests 'panic buying' of medications by patients and providers caused drug shortages
Drug shortages in the winter of 2022 were the highest they had been in five years due to individuals and providers "panic-buying" more medications than they needed amid fear and confusion caused by the "triple threat" of COVID-19, influenza, and RSV. Social media and news media fueled a frenzy around rising cases and deaths, leading many households to stockpile cold and flu medications. Hospitals began stockpiling these medications, which made it difficult for pharmacies to get what they needed to meet community demands, resulting in localized "spot" shortages of Tamiflu, albuterol, and antibiotics such as amoxicillin and Augmentin. The Milken report calls for greater transparency across the supply chain, particularly in times of crisis, to prevent stockpiling that can cause shortages.

Dems Are Coming for Kids' Lunch Meat and Chocolate Milk
US agencies propose restrictions on deli meats and a possible ban on flavored milk, including chocolate milk, in school cafeterias to combat childhood obesity. Opponents argue that banning flavored milk will result in children drinking less milk, which contains essential nutrients. Democrat-led agencies are following suit, such as New York City officials banning processed meats in schools, hospitals, and other programs by 2025. The Biden administration's commitment to healthy meals only goes so far as the Agriculture Department has excluded low-income students from the National School Lunch Program if the students' public school does not comply with the administration's LGBT policies.

Poilievre says the bill only adds “lower bars” to the already existing standards and does not address the issue of repeat offenders being released before serving their entire sentence. The proposed legislation would create a reverse onus for serious repeat violent offending involving weapons and require courts to consider an accused person’s criminal history and community safety when making bail decisions. Justice Minister David Lametti defended the bill, saying it will address challenges posed by repeat violent offending.

Compensation for Air Delays? Maybe, But…
The Department of Transportation plans to launch a new rule requiring airlines to provide compensation to passengers whose flights are delayed or canceled. Currently, passengers are only entitled to a refund or whatever is outlined in the airline's contract of carriage. Presumably, new rules would include minimum standards of care required of all US airlines and compensation for traveler inconvenience and expense. However, actual new rules, if any, are at least four years away, and the airlines are already attacking the proposal.
