Breitbart: Laredo Mayor: Abbott Busing Migrants to Dem Cities 'Helps' -- Biden Should Have Made Policy Changes 'a Long Time Ago'
Laredo Mayor Victor Treviño says that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's plan to bus migrants to Democratic-run cities provides some help. He believes that while the recent policy changes by the Biden administration have helped, reform should have been done proactively a long time ago. Treviño adds that these actions may have contributed to the decrease in the number of migrants seen, but smuggling still poses a significant issue.

Breitbart: Report: Trone Threatened to ‘Execute,’ 'F*cking End' a Delivery Worker
David Trone, Maryland Congressman and founder of Total Wine & More, allegedly threatened to "fucking end" and "execute" a delivery worker at one of his spirit retail stores in Arizona. The incident occurred on December 15, 2021, and according to police reports, Trone threatened a Crescent Crown Distributing merchandiser named Cody Huard. Trone, who recently announced a Senate run in 2024, left before the police arrived. Witnesses state Trone was "very rude" and "yelled" at Huard and another employee. Trone would have been charged with section 13-1202 of Arizona's criminal code.
The Federalist: Texas' Election Laws Mean Nothing Until They're Enforced
The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruling dissolved the state attorney general's election fraud division, leaving only a few cases being pursued statewide. This collapse suggests a vulnerability in the state's election integrity safeguards. Texas can create court districts with elected DAs and judges to have jurisdiction over criminal violations of election law, providing specialization needed while minimizing the possibility of capture of such offices by local political machines.
Fox News: Journalists take flak as DeSantis falters, CNN slammed for hosting Trump
In a Sunday feature, the New York Times pronounces that Ron DeSantis' 2024 presidential campaign "has faltered before it has even begun." The article argues that his reticence to respond to Donald Trump's attacks has "badly bruised" his electability pitch. DeSantis' team believes that there is a disconnect between his appeal in the early nominating states and party elites and the media, which they argue remain hooked on the Trump show. Their polling shows that he maintains a higher favorability rate than Trump in the three kickoff states - Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
Howard Kurtz contends that the media should not ban Trump on TV as it would be a suppression of speech and oppose what journalism stands for. Even though the CNN town hall may have been off the rails, Kurtz argues that news outlets still have the right to interview Trump, since he is still far and away the leading candidate for the nomination. Furthermore, journalists and pundits who believe that Trump must be opposed at all costs can always leave the business and sign up with the Democrats.
The Federalist: Target's 'Pride' Line Tells Kids To Hate And Brutalize Their Bodies
Target is releasing a capsule collection for Pride Month including transgender propaganda books and graphic tees for babies, toddlers, kids, tweens, and teens. The collection includes a "Pride Baby Bien Proud Body Suit" for newborns and a "Super Queer" color-block bucket hat for teens. The promotion of this ideology in children can lead to medicalization of natural insecurities through the use of puberty blockers, wrong-sex hormones, and irreversible surgeries. The promotion of this ideology can harm vulnerable teens and children seeking safe exploration.
The Epoch Times: Extended Boycott in Oregon Disqualifies GOP, Independent Senators From Being Reelected
Three Oregon Senate Republicans have been disqualified under a new constitutional amendment which aims to stop walkouts following their 10-day boycott of the Democrat-dominated Senate, over bills on abortion access and gender-related health care. They were disqualified after accumulating 10 unexcused absences making them ineligible to serve, although they can still run for office, but cannot hold it. Many bills were now at stake, according to Democrat Governor Tina Kotek. Senate Republican Minority Leader Tim Knopp stated the boycot hosted by all twelve Republicans was in solidarity.

Federal Reserve officials have suggested that interest rates are likely to be higher this year and that the benchmark rate could increase. Atlanta Fed Bank President Raphael Bostic said that the priority for the US central bank is to restore price stability, even in the event of a recession, and that it is unlikely that rates will be cut in 2022. Minneapolis Fed Bank President Neel Kashkari echoed these sentiments, saying that the central bank needs to "finish the job" of ensuring that inflation returns to its 2 percent target.
