Chris Cuomo Lets Media Have It For Ignoring Border Crisis: ‘The Joke Is On Us’
Chris Cuomo criticized legacy media for ignoring the crisis at the southern US border, stating that the lack of coverage had worsened the situation and allowed politicians to manipulate it for their own gain. Cuomo argued that the absence of large migrant groups was more concerning as it suggested illegal immigrants had been transported to other parts of the country, and criticized both Republicans and Democrats for not taking responsibility and action.

'Squad' Dems vote against honoring police officers killed in line of duty
Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Cori Bush, members of the progressive group "the Squad," were the only Democrats to vote against a resolution honoring police officers killed in the line of duty during National Police Week. The resolution passed with unanimous support from Republicans and nearly all Democrats, honoring the 556 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, including 224 officers killed in 2022, and ensuring police are equipped with resources for community safety. The two representatives did not immediately explain the reasons behind their nay votes, but later issued a joint statement claiming that community safety is a top priority and the Republican-introduced amendment was intended to advance false narratives around supporting law enforcement.

The Epoch Times: Can Twitter Survive as a Free-Speech Platform?
Can Twitter Survive as a Free-Speech Platform?
Twitter is the only social media platform that remains mostly free of political scrutiny and censorship. However, the recent appointment of Linda Yaccarino, a proponent of content moderation that serves advertising stakeholders rather than free speech, as CEO, is a bad sign for the future of Twitter as a free-speech platform. To survive, Twitter needs to get advertisers back, which means conforming to their priorities, which overlap with those of the regime. This upheaval comes at a difficult time for white-collar business enterprises with credit being expensive and capital chasing return from companies with a more immediate return in the real world.

‘Clearly Retaliatory’: IRS Whistleblower’s Team Taken Off Hunter Biden Probe
An IRS team probing Hunter Biden's taxes, allegedly stalling investigations for political reasons, has been removed from the case, including the whistleblower, by the Justice Department. The whistleblower claimed the Biden administration was favouring the President's son by holding back in the investigation, putting concerns of obstruction of Congressional inquiry in play. Claims emerged after Hunter Biden's lawyer said the IRS agent broke the law by disclosing concerns regarding the investigation with Congress, leading to concerns future whistleblowers may be deterred from coming forward.

Forbes: Congress Should Halt OMB’s Rewrite Of Circular A-4 Guidance On Regulatory Cost-Benefit Analysis
Congress Should Halt OMB’s Rewrite Of Circular A-4 Guidance On Regulatory Cost-Benefit Analysis
The Biden administration has proposed a rewrite of the White House Office of Management and Budget's guidance on regulatory impact analysis. This presents a dilemma for those concerned about federal government growth and the introduction of coercion into human affairs, as the proposed rewrite would worsen decay in regulatory oversight processes. Congress must step in to address underlying concerns and force OMB to repair regulatory oversight processes before any rewrite proceeds.

OMB's proposed rewrite of regulatory assessment procedures, coupled with recent progressive legislative transformations, is enabling the federal government's proclivity for growth. Congress should push for large-scale regulatory liberalization and shrinkage of bureaucracy instead. Political failure, rather than market failure, is the issue at hand, and Congress should use its available means to press pause on a regulatory analysis system that makes it easier to add but not subtract regulation.

The Epoch Times: Tax Credits You Might Qualify For
Tax Credits You Might Qualify For
Tax credits are a way for federal and local governments to help Americans with their financial burdens, especially for lower to middle-income households. They differ from deductions because they decrease the amount of taxes filers owe rather than reducing taxable income. Some available tax credits are the Lifetime Learning Credit, American Opportunity Credit, incentives for energy efficiency, disaster relief, child and dependent care credit, child tax credit, adoption credit, earned income tax credit, saver's credit, foreign tax credit, and premium tax credit. Taxpayers should take advantage of as many credits as possible, and stay updated with national events and sweeping legislation that might increase their tax credits in subsequent years.

Townhall: The Durham Probe Has Proven Collusion – Between Government Agencies and the Media Complex
The Durham Probe Has Proven Collusion – Between Government Agencies and the Media Complex
Special Counsel John Durham's final report on the FBI's investigation into Donald Trump's alleged campaign ties with Russia concluded that there was no merit to the investigation and that evidence fed by the Hillary Clinton campaign was the catalyst for the years of hysteria. The press, a key player in the entire process, was mostly downplaying and dismissing the findings, as they were a key component in perpetuating the fake Russian collusion narrative. The collusion between the upper levels of government agencies and the broad media complex is now a blatant and obvious reality.

Human Events: Durham report reveals FBI, Dems staged soft coup of Trump administration
Durham report reveals FBI, Dems staged soft coup of Trump
administration
The Durham Report found that the FBI's investigation into President Trump's alleged collusion with Russia was baseless and used falsified evidence created by the Clinton campaign. The report showed intentional malfeasance, a double standard for the Clinton campaign, and a bias against Trump and his populist message. The FBI allowed allegations to be perceived as indictments, used hearsay instead of fact, and obfuscated their own procedures to discredit Trump. The conclusion states that lack of analytical rigor, apparent confirmation bias, and an over-willingness to rely on information from individuals connected to political opponents caused investigators to fail to adequately consider alternative hypotheses and to act without appropriate objectivity or restraint in pursuing allegations of collusion or conspiracy.

Biden and NYC Mayor Eric Adams at Loggerheads Over Immigration and Crime
NYC Mayor Eric Adams has been criticizing President Biden for his handling of crime and illegal immigration, resulting in his removal from the 2024 campaign advisory board. Many big-city colleagues have been saying the same for months, and the lack of financial support for cities dealing with the influx of illegals has strained their resources. Adams has been particularly vocal, even calling out Biden by name. Despite a plan to replace Vice President Kamala Harris with Adams, it is unclear how serious the feud is.

Democratic congressional staffers threatened university researchers to cooperate with an investigation into Donald Trump's alleged ties with Russia. The researchers, from Georgia Tech University, were told to analyze a news article on the subject, but when they refused citing inappropriate misconduct for a public university, one researcher said they were threatened. The staffers who pressured the researchers were from Schiff at the House Intelligence Committee and for Reed, the top Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee. Durham's office investigated whether the Democrats' pressure campaign merited prosecution, though no charges were filed.

Teddy Roosevelt’s 5 Ways to Cultivate a Good Work Ethic
Employers are embracing mature workers over young people to ensure work gets done accurately and efficiently. Offering flexibility and diligence, older workers are less likely to ask for big salaries or move onto a new job quickly after being hired. Many employers feel that the younger generation lacks the principles of hard work ingrained in older workers, and could benefit from insight the late U.S President Teddy Roosevelt shared about the importance of being a good worker. These principles include being willing to work the extra mile, having eagerness to work on a job that gives purpose, and starting small with the little things. Good character traits, such as honesty, kindness, and diligence, can also help turn someone into a good worker.

National Review: The Corner: The Shared Economic Views of Smith and Burke
The Corner: The Shared Economic Views of Smith and Burke
Samuel Gregg's essay for Capital Matters explores the similarities between Adam Smith and Edmund Burke's worldview, despite their different professional backgrounds. Both men acknowledged that the expansion of commercial freedoms would result in significant social upheaval, but agreed it was worth it for the resulting economic opportunities. However, they also believed in the importance of habits and institutions that would mediate the pressures of a dynamic economy, emphasizing our duty to others beyond contractual obligations. Religion and responsibilities to those in need were prominent among these habits. Liberty and responsibility must go hand-in-hand to limit the scope for hedonism, corruption, and injustice in a growing economy.

Fox News: Biden vetoes bipartisan bill protecting US solar panel makers from Chinese competition
Biden vetoes bipartisan bill protecting US solar panel makers from Chinese competition
President Biden vetoed a bipartisan resolution aimed at reversing his executive action on Chinese solar panels. Biden implemented a two-year moratorium last year on the enforcement of solar panel anti-circumvention tariffs designed to protect US companies. Congress recently passed the resolution to overturn the moratorium. Biden explained that the legislation "bets against American innovation."

A bipartisan group of lawmakers led by Rep. Bill Posey introduced the resolution striking down Biden's action in January. The resolution passed the House and Senate and utilizes the Congressional Review Act. Chinese companies control a more than 80% share in the global solar panel industry, which has been tied to forced labor in China's Xinjiang province. Environmental groups and SEIA opposed it while groups like the Coalition for a Prosperous America and human rights groups like the Uyghur Human Rights Project endorsed it.

The Federalist: Tuberville Holds The Line Against Taxpayer-Funded Abortions
Tuberville Holds The Line Against Taxpayer-Funded Abortions
America’s military is facing a recruiting crisis and growing threats from belligerents like China. The Biden administration is pushing a politicized agenda that is hurting military readiness by promoting woke policies like taxpayer-funded abortions instead of focusing on national defense. Sen. Tommy Tuberville is taking action to stop the Pentagon's new abortion policy by blocking the promotions of senior military officers and demanding a debate in Congress. This policy is an abusive use of political power and undermines the rule of law, threatening the sanctity of civil-military relations and the well-functioning armed forces. The military shouldn't be distracted by politics, and the quickest way to make things right is for the Defense Secretary to rescind the radical abortion policy.

Video footage from Manipur shows Christians being attacked and rioters show no concern of being punished. The violence has an anti-Christian element as the ruling Hindu nationalist government, the BJP Party, has suggested that Christians are not real Indians because they must be Hindu to become citizens. Curry stated that the government should enforce justice and punish the rioters to avoid more conflict. This situation is causing international outrage.
