The American Spectator: John Durham Gave Americans Something as Important as Justice
John Durham Gave Americans Something as Important as Justice
The Durham Report reveals how Perkins Coie, the law firm employed by Hillary Clinton's campaign, hired Fusion GPS to conduct opposition research on Donald Trump in 2016. Democrats did not inform the public of this trick, and journalists and the FBI legitimized the partisan smear campaign as an intelligence agency product. The report exposes a lack of analytical rigor, bias, and using information from political opponents, which led investigators to fail to consider alternative hypotheses and pursue allegations of collusion or conspiracy between a US political campaign and a foreign power.

CIA Director John Brennan’s notes detail his briefing of President Obama and other leading officials on the slanderous notion that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians, originating from the Clinton campaign. Despite knowing the Clinton campaign's falsehoods, officials perpetuated them and used the basis for unprecedented spying, approved by a court, on the opposition party's candidate. The primary source of the dossier came from the Clinton campaign, and people working for Democratic politicians conjured up nasty stories concerning the Republican nominee, which hurt the public and FBI public servants. Durham's report charges a lack of objectivity, analytical rigor, and confirmation bias, which investigators failed to consider alternative hypotheses and apparently acted without restraint in pursuing allegations of collusion or conspiracy between a US political campaign and a foreign power.

PJ Media: President Ramaswamy?
President Ramaswamy?
Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, a long shot presidential candidate, is running as the "anti-woke" candidate to speak truth and revive the missing national identity. He advocates for merit-based immigration and restoring GDP growth through abandoning the climate cult and embracing nuclear power. He also promotes free and open speech, even for ideas deemed "misinformation" or "hateful," believing that suppression of speech leads to more hatred. His new book, "Capitalist Punishment," criticizes big Wall Street firms for investing in companies that claim to promote the environment or social justice. Ramaswamy created his own investment firm, Strive Asset Management, which invests money in firms that maximize profits without promising ESG magic.

DeSantis-Backed Candidates Lose in Jacksonville Mayor’s Race, Kentucky Governor’s Race
Trump-backed Daniel Cameron wins Republican nomination for Kentucky governor, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis endorses former UN Ambassador Kelly Craft in what appears to be a last-ditch effort to elevate her in the race. However, final polls showed Cameron leading the field, and he emerged victorious in the primary. Despite Craft's significant lag in polls, DeSantis ultimately sets up a proxy war in the state, which he ultimately lost. Meanwhile, Republicans suffered a loss in DeSantis's home state, with a Democrat candidate winning the mayoral election in Jacksonville, Florida.

The American Spectator: California’s Reparations Committee Owes the Reagan Family an Apology
California’s Reparations Committee Owes the Reagan Family an Apology
The California Reparations Task Force demands a formal apology from former Governor Ronald Reagan for his alleged use of "racist coding" in coining the term "welfare queen," which conjures negative stereotypes of single Black women. However, as a biography of Reagan indicates, he never mentioned the woman's name or race, never used the term in his speeches, and quoted others who had described her as such. Additionally, according to the birth record of the woman in question, Linda Taylor, she was white, though she employed 80 different names and had various claimed ethnic-racial backgrounds. The Reagan "welfare queen" smear is another arrow to fire at Reagan as a "racist" and signifies the real racism of some of his liberal attackers.

Kamala Harris torched on Twitter after seemingly suggesting that banning 'gender ideology' classes would involve banning the teaching of women's history
Vice President Kamala Harris questioned whether banning "gender ideology" courses would include women's history and equality. However, conservatives are targeting leftist gender ideology on LGBTQ topics, not women's history. Critics called Harris unintelligent for her remarks. Gender ideology is also a topic of debate in allowing biological males who identify as girls to participate in female school sports.

Elon Musk: Suppression of Hunter Biden Laptop Story Is 'Election Interference'
Elon Musk criticized the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story as "election interference" in an interview with CNBC's "Last Call." Musk defended some conspiracy theories and stated that some of them have turned out to be true. He also defended his tweets as freedom of speech, despite potential disagreements from Tesla buyers and advertisers on Twitter.

The American Spectator: Should We Send the Military to Counter the Mexican Drug Cartels?
Should We Send the Military to Counter the Mexican Drug Cartels?
Sen. John Kennedy has suggested military intervention to counter the impact of the Mexican drug cartels at the southern border in an effort to control its influence, and it’s received mixed responses. While some consider this a viable option to combat the crime wave affecting the country, others believe it will do more harm than good. Kennedy also noted that securing the border requires strictly enforcing the law and taking new measures, yet the Biden administration doesn’t seem to believe in that. Therefore, the idea of implementing a plan to eliminate the mess on the border is far-fetched since the regime in power isn’t interested, leaving innocent towns and communities to deal with death and destruction without any defense.

The Epoch Times: Marjorie Taylor Greene Introduces Articles of Impeachment Against US Attorney for DC
Marjorie Taylor Greene Introduces Articles of Impeachment Against US Attorney for DC
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) introduced articles of impeachment against U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Matthew Graves, accusing him of endangering the justice system by refusing to prosecute many arrests, thereby empowering violent criminals to terrorize Washington, D.C. Graves has been criticized for his office refusing to prosecute 67 percent of those arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), and 52 percent of felony apprehensions. His office is also accused of politicizing its priorities, particularly persecuting political prisoners at the behest of handlers in the White House. It is unlikely Graves would get the necessary Senate conviction, even if impeached by the House (, ).

On this day in history, May 17, 1954, Supreme Court trounces segregation in landmark Brown v. Board case
The Supreme Court ruled unanimously on May 17, 1954 that racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional, overturning the 1896 Plessy v. Ferguson ruling that allowed separate but equal facilities. Lead plaintiff Oliver Brown filed the lawsuit against the Topeka school board after his daughter Linda was denied attendance at the closest school to their home. The decision set an important legal precedent and paved the way for future civil rights battles. While school segregation has decreased in recent years, some concerns of re-segregation have arisen, including calls for segregated classes and programs in higher education.

Tom Cruise’s blockbuster Top Gun was released on May 16, 1986 during the Cold War. The film remains a cult favorite and one of the most influential action movies of all time.

The Epoch Times: Canada 'Extremely Concerned' About Fate of Line 5 Pipeline in Wisconsin, Embassy Says
Canada 'Extremely Concerned' About Fate of Line 5 Pipeline in Wisconsin, Embassy Says
Canada is deeply concerned about the potential fate of the Line 5 pipeline, warning of dire consequences if the vital oil and gas corridor is shut down. The pipeline, owned by Enbridge Inc., supplies refineries in Ontario and Quebec, as well as feedstock to refineries in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. It is also vital to the production of jet fuel for some of Canada's busiest airports. An emergency court hearing in Wisconsin was called after spring flooding washed away significant portions of the Bad Riverbank, through which Line 5 runs. The Bad River Band has asked for the pipeline to be shut down immediately, fearing that erosion could cause an environmental catastrophe. If the pipeline is closed, it could cause significant economic disruption and jeopardize over 33,000 jobs in the US Midwest.

Townhall: United States Postal Service Bailouts Are Not Working
United States Postal Service Bailouts Are Not Working
Congress continues to bail out the United States Postal Service (USPS) despite repeated failures. Despite billions of dollars in aid, the USPS remains a money-losing institution. The USPS Reform Act of 2022, which became law last year and lacked substantial reform, added to the losses. The Congressional Budget Office projected increased Medicare expenses by $5.6 billion following the law's implementation. Fuzzy math was used to gain Republican approval for the bill. An update on USPS's strategic report shows it expects to lose $70 billion. Congress needs to pursue substantial reform instead of continued bailouts.

A hearing by the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability provides an opportunity for Congress to confront Postmaster General Louis DeJoy regarding his unfulfilled promises regarding the USPS reform bill's impact on profitability. The USPS continues to lose money despite the elimination of prefunding health care for employees. The USPS's own internal numbers show that the reform bill added to the losses. It's time for Congress to recognize the USPS's financial mess and pursue substantial reform.

Doing Right By Our Veterans With Meaningful VA Reforms
The Veterans Administration (VA) currently faces a six-figure backlog that endangers veterans. However, there is good news with the bipartisan PLUS for Veterans Act of 2023, which safeguards veterans and their VA disability benefits. The bill allows for accreditation of organizations that assist veterans while imposing penalties for bad actors. This provides a needed reform and fixes existing problems. The bill honors the sacrifices of our veterans by ensuring they receive the highest levels of care and support.

Townhall: Colorado School District Hosts Drag Show Amid Teachers Union Embrace of Gender Ideology
Colorado School District Hosts Drag Show Amid Teachers Union Embrace of Gender Ideology
A theatrical performance at an elementary school in Colorado sparked outrage among parents when it featured sexual dances by provocatively dressed men in front of young children. The show, titled "Muse," revolved around a man transitioning to female and was rated for children eight years and older. Parents assumed blanket permission for their attendance under a consent form sent earlier in the year. The superintendent was unaware of the show's adult content, but non-profit group Mountain Pride labeled exposure to gender ideology an "important" part of children's education. The incident is part of an alarming trend of public schools across America exposing children to sexual content through drag performances, graphic children's books, and gender ideology discussions.
