Washington Free Beacon: Kentucky Republicans Tap Daniel Cameron to Take Down Dem Governor Andy Beshear
Kentucky Republicans choose Daniel Cameron to run for governor against incumbent Democrat Andy Beshear, who won a close race against a Republican in 2019. Cameron, a former attorney general, is endorsed by Trump and considered a formidable challenger in a state that heavily favored the former president in the last election. Beshear faces criticism over his response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including a mask mandate for schools that was later rescinded by the state's Supreme Court. The Republican Governors Association cited Beshear's education policies and liberal priorities as reasons why Cameron is a better choice for Kentucky families.
Breitbart: WATCH: Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman Gets Slammed After Mocking Journalist
Reporter Julio Rosas accused Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) of mocking his journalistic credentials during a U.S. House Homeland Security Committee hearing on left-wing violence. Rosas had been testifying alongside other witnesses when Goldman attacked him over the issue of Antifa, saying it was only an idea, not an organization. Rosas responded by noting that Goldman’s inherited wealth might be why he didn't view property damage, one of the main forms of violence carried out by Antifa, as a problem. Rosas has served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
Red State: Kamala Harris Tries to Riff on Gender Ideology, and It Goes all Kinds of Wrong
Kamala Harris is a liability for the Democrats and Joe Biden's re-election campaign in 2024. Despite Biden's age and visible failings, the only justification for his candidacy is the disastrous vice president who somehow manages to make him seem preferable. In a recent rant, Harris spewed nonsensical fear-mongering about eliminating classes that teach "gender ideology," implying that such classes teach women's history, equality, and the number of female senators in the United States. However, the real target of the laws and bills in question is the radical transgender movement and the sexualization of children, not women's history. Harris remains ill-informed and terrible at her job, making Biden more electable only by comparison.
The Federalist Papers: Gutfeld Called the 'Last Trustworthy Person' at Fox News for What He Said on 'The Five'
Greg Gutfeld of "The Five" is praised as the last trustworthy person on Fox News by a Twitter user after commenting on the Durham report. Gutfeld argues that the FBI, the DOJ, and the Democrats undermined the 2016 election, making everything permissible and every institution subject to suspicion. He contends that the DOJ and FBI have impacted at least the last three elections with the Trump-Russia collusion hoax in 2016, the Hunter Biden laptop coverup in 2020, and the raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago home just months before the 2022 midterms. The DOJ and FBI have an anti-Republican bias, he claims.

Forbes: Despite Tougher Regulations, Branded Entertainment OK With UK Viewers, UTA Survey Suggests
A new survey by UTA IQ shows that most UK viewers (90%) are not bothered by brand visibility in entertainment content and two-thirds are open to branded entertainment. The survey also showed that audiences perceive brands on traditional TV or movies more seriously than on online creators. "The top line for me is the TV versus social (comparison) actually because so many times I’m asked how do you define branded content?” said Sam Glynne from UTA’s Entertainment & Culture Marketing division. The study suggested that a majority of UK viewers believe a brand’s involvement could enhance what they’re watching. In industry-speak, “branded entertainment” generally means a long-form program that’s been funded partly or wholly by a brand, and typically features the brand’s products in some significant way in the story line.

Daily Wire: Ted Cruz, In Quest To Free Mark Swidan, Sees No ‘Great Power’ In China
The U.S. Congress has unanimously demanded the release of American citizen Mark Swidan, who has been detained in China for over a decade under "unjust" charges. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also spoke out, stating that China's treatment of Swidan shows that it is not a true "great power." Despite efforts by the State Department and President Joe Biden to secure his release, Swidan remains in deteriorating health under inhumane conditions and without adequate medical care. Cruz has been in contact with Swidan's mother and plans to continue putting pressure on the Chinese government through diplomatic and economic means.
The Epoch Times: IN-DEPTH: How Many Secret Chinese Police Stations Are Operating in Canada?
Chinese police stations have been discovered operating covertly in Canada. The police stations are run by China's Public Security Bureau and are designed to provide a network for intelligence gathering and investigative activities on Canadian soil. While some have been shut down, such as the three in Greater Toronto, others remain operational. Concerns have been raised by residents, activists, and rights groups about the impact of these police stations on Canadian sovereignty and the safety of Chinese nationalists who seek refuge in Canada.

The Epoch Times: Alberta NPD Releases Costed Budget That Would Hike Corporate Tax Rate to 11 Percent
Alberta's NDP releases budget promising net-zero carbon tax targets, increases spending across the board, and raises the corporate tax rate in Alberta from 8 percent to 11 percent. The budget proposes health care spending hikes, building more schools, hiring more teachers, creating health care teams, adding tax credits for children's activities, providing free birth control, mental health sessions, family doctors and modernizing schools. The UCP responds, stating the budget will kill jobs by implementing a 38% tax hike on businesses and job creators.
The Economist: America’s Inflation Reduction Act is turning heads among British businesses
America's Inflation Reduction Act, which offers subsidies and tax breaks to clean-energy businesses, is luring manufacturers away from Britain. Tevva, a hydrogen and battery-powered truck manufacturer near Tilbury, is considering starting production of zero-emission trucks in America with the help of the IRA. Even European countries are offering subsidies to these companies, making it harder for Britain to compete. This is not good news for Britain's green economy or car industry, which are both struggling due to lack of government support. Nearly eight out of ten bosses believe Britain should do more to subsidize green industries, but the government is wary of nationalizations and industrial subsidies. The government will rely on non-financial incentives, such as focusing on skills and research and development, to attract manufacturers. However, it may not be enough, as heavy cash incentives are hard to beat. The Energy Transition Commission believes they should fast-track renewable energy projects or automatically approve permit applications if planning authorities take too long to decide to speed up projects.

Sen. John Fetterman's mental health is in question again after a video from a Senate hearing showed him struggling to collect his thoughts and giving disjointed statements instead of asking questions. Critics took to Twitter to express their embarrassment and sadness for Fetterman, who needs to address his physical and mental well-being, rather than continue in a stressful and demanding job.
