Fiery crash in northern Mexico leaves at least 26 dead after passenger van and freight truck collide
At least 26 people died in a fiery highway crash in northern Mexico between a passenger van and a freight truck near Ciudad Victoria. Officials say the death toll could rise. The Federalist: The Left's 2020 ‘Fake Electors’ Narrative Is Fake News
The Left's 2020 ‘Fake Electors’ Narrative Is Fake News
Pundits have been labeling eight of Trump's electors "fake" when in reality, the electors were appointed according to legal precedent to maintain the ongoing legal challenges to Georgia's vote certification. The approach Trump's election lawyers followed in appointing the electors replicated the exact approach Democrats previously used in the past. The situation in Georgia in 2020 mirrored what happened in Hawaii in 1960. While Biden was certified as the victor, Trump's Republican electors met and cast their votes to maintain his legal battles in court, with Rafernsperger recertifying Biden without additional legal challenge resolution. Trump and David Shafer filed a suit in Fulton County against Rafernsperger on December 4, but the case continued, and the grand jury granted immunity to eight of the electors, which held no need to implicate anyone in criminal activity. Shafer's attorneys wrote to Fani Willis, explaining the detail on the Hawaii precedent behind Shafer and other Trump electors' actions following the 2020 election. That stated it would ensure that Georgia's electoral votes would be considered if the state court lawsuit resolved in the president's favour.

Fox News: Ohio Republicans look to place restrictions on future ballot initiatives, constitutional amendments
Ohio Republicans look to place restrictions on future ballot initiatives, constitutional amendments
Republican-leaning states, including Ohio and Missouri, are pushing to restrict citizen’s ability to bypass lawmakers through ballot initiatives and constitutional amendments. The Ohio proposal, which will ask voters in August to increase the threshold for passing constitutional amendments to 60%, is designed to undermine direct democracy. A similar measure will be put to a vote in North Dakota next year, while a proposal in Wisconsin put forward by Republicans controlling the Legislature would prevent local governments from placing advisory questions on ballots. This trend comes as Democrats and left-leaning groups increasingly use the initiative process to force public votes on issues opposed by Republican lawmakers but popular among voters.

American Thinker: 2024: The End of Elections -- or of Election Fraud?
2024: The End of Elections -- or of Election Fraud?
Trump's campaign focuses on ballot harvesting and ignores other forms of voter fraud in the 2024 election, allowing leftists to use their multilayered, 20-year-old voter fraud schemes to manipulate the outcome. Trump's campaign only focuses on getting out the vote for Republican ballots, while leftists have an industrial-scale ballot-harvesting enterprise, making Trump's efforts futile. Kari Lake's state election shows a clear example of what leftists have in store for the 2024 election, signaling the end of important elections in America.

Fox News: Trump hits DeSantis on abortion, suggests 6-week abortion ban is ‘too harsh’
Trump hits DeSantis on abortion, suggests 6-week abortion ban is ‘too harsh’
Former President Trump criticized Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for signing a six-week abortion ban in Florida, claiming many pro-life groups opposed such a ban. In a wide-ranging interview with The Messenger published on Monday, Trump refused to elaborate on his own stance regarding abortion, but confirmed that he supported exceptions in abortion legislation for the life of the mother, raping, and incest. Rather than get specific on his abortion stance, Trump went on to tout his role in overturning Roe v. Wade, saying he was the only president who could have done so. The segment falls under the category of .

Fox News: As pet ownership rises across the US, government rules restaurants can allow dogs in outdoor dining spaces
As pet ownership rises across the US, government rules restaurants can allow dogs in outdoor dining spaces
The U.S. government has issued guidance for restaurants that want to allow pet dogs in their outdoor spaces, just in time for the summer dining season. Although nearly half of states allow canine dining outdoors, many diners and restaurants are pushing back against the increasing presence of dogs, citing concerns over pet hair, barking, and entitled owners. The FDA's updated food code says restaurants can have dogs in outdoor areas if they get approval from a local regulator, provide separate food bowls for dogs, and ensure dogs remain properly restrained.

Euromaidan Press: Russia’s new air campaign may not significantly hinder Ukraine’s offensive capabilities – ISW
Russia’s new air campaign may not significantly hinder Ukraine’s offensive capabilities – ISW
Russian forces are conducting a new air campaign in Ukraine with drone and missile strikes aimed at weakening Ukrainian abilities to counterattack. At least 10 series of strikes have been launched since April 19, with Russian forces using fewer high-precision missiles than in their previous campaign. Instead, they rely on Iranian-made drones to overwhelm Ukrainian air defenses. The campaign appears to be focused on Kyiv and Ukrainian military-industrial and logistics facilities in deep rear areas, with the aim of portraying Russian forces as successfully constraining potential Ukrainian counteroffensive operations. Ukrainian capabilities have not been significantly constrained.

Conservative Playbook: The WEF Wants Equitable ‘Democratization’ of Stock Markets
The WEF Wants Equitable ‘Democratization’ of Stock Markets
The World Economic Forum plans to create a more "democratized" stock market. However, talent and intellect are not equally distributed, and the WEF's definition of fairness seems to promote equality of outcome rather than opportunity. The WEF's goal would not be met unless wages were garnered through regulation and invested without consent, as half the population distrusts rigged markets. The current credit crunch and rising bankruptcies add to people's skepticism, and short selling is not allowed. The WEF seems to encourage public market participation, which may benefit insiders while destroying everyone else's wealth.

Liberty Nation: Progressives Keep Hunting Illusive Extremists in the Military
Progressives Keep Hunting Illusive Extremists in the Military
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer wants to find white extremists in the US military, but the military has told the Department of Defense to stop searching as they are so rare. The Senate Armed Services Committee concluded that continuing to identify potential white supremacists in the military would not be an appropriate use of taxpayer funds. Although democratic supporters of anti-extremism training point to reoccurring issues of extremist activity in the military, including 100 cases of prohibited extremist activity in the past year, supporters of the Military ban suggest that the $1B to train service members on anti-terrorism tactics can be better used combatting cyber attacks, preparing for high-end warfare or keeping the US ahead of China.

Red State: Brittney Griner Sounds a Different Tune on the National Anthem After Stint in Russian Prison
Brittney Griner Sounds a Different Tune on the National Anthem After Stint in Russian Prison
WNBA player Brittney Griner returned to the court after spending 10 months in a Russian prison for carrying vape canisters with cannabis oil in her luggage. Griner had been sentenced to nine years in prison but was freed in a prisoner swap for international arms dealer Viktor Bout. Her race and sexual preference were highlighted as reasons why people were unhappy about the deal. Despite previously announcing that she would not come out on the court during the national anthem for the entire season, Griner stood for the Star-Spangled Banner during her return to the game. It seems that her year in a Russian prison allowed her to gain a newfound appreciation for the anthem.

While Griner's newfound respect for the national anthem is commendable, it's problematic how many athletes feel the need to turn their back on it. The U.S. is not perfect, but those who continually bash it are doing the country no favors. Instead of saying, “This is an amazing experiment, but let’s try to make it even better,” they say “America sucks and we should tear it all down.” There are few places on earth where Griner could live her life openly as a lesbian, make a fantastic living playing a game, and enjoy the freedom to say what she thinks and be who she wants to be. Perhaps her cinderblock time in a Russian gulag woke her up to the fact that—although America may not be perfect—it’s still one of the greatest attempts at societal governance in human history.

National Review: The Corner: Spare: The Problem with Renewables
The Corner: Spare: The Problem with Renewables
Renewables may not be reliable without a suitable storage technology to back them up, but present policies are flawed by assuming this technology will appear in time. Bryan Leyland suggests wind and solar energy need to be backed up 100% by another means of energy. Nuclear power has the potential to provide low cost, reliable and low emissions energy – but would take a long time to install. With present storage technology, renewables could be completely pointless.

Liberty Nation: The Tucker Carlson Twitter Alliance Spells Doom for Legacy Media
The Tucker Carlson Twitter Alliance Spells Doom for Legacy Media
Tucker Carlson announced on Twitter that he will bring his programme to the platform as a new version of Tucker Carlson Tonight. Carlson's move to Twitter removes editorial boards, television news executives and other gatekeepers from the process, and marks a shift from a platform that promotes gatekeepers to one that encourages myriad content creators to join the dialogue. Elon Musk has hinted that Twitter will be a more dynamic Fourth Estate with rewards offered to those who create engaging content on his platform. This could be the end of the mainstream media's monopoly on news.
