2 Dead, 5 Injured in Arizona Border Town Shooting; Police Searching for Suspect
A shooting in Yuma, Arizona, left two dead and five injured. Police responded to a report of shots fired and found several subjects with gunshot wounds. The police are investigating the double homicide, and so far don’t have a suspect in custody.

Title 42 has been lifted and hundreds of illegal immigrants were released in Yuma without being fully processed, according to a new report. Yuma Mayor Douglas Nicholls said that those released had been vetted and would follow the judicial process, which takes years. Nicholls urged President Joe Biden to issue a federal emergency declaration to help protect the border.

Migrants crossing border released with court dates that are years away
Illegal immigrants may not appear in court for several years after entering the US, according to documents reviewed at the southern border after Title 42's expiration. A female migrant in El Paso shared her court documents with Fox News, showing that she is not expected to appear in front of an immigration judge until June 2026 in Newark, New Jersey, over three years after her initial crossing. Despite the court appearance being scheduled in New Jersey, the migrant hopes to travel to New York City, the migrant-hub that was already attempting to shelter nearly 60,000 migrants before Title 42's lifting.

Rep. Henry Cuellar recently revealed concerns about backlogged court dates, revealing that some migrants in New York will reportedly not appear in front of a judge for a decade. The overflow of migrant appointments came amid the expiration of Title 42, the pandemic-era policy allowing the swift expulsion of migrants from the U.S. As lawmakers manage the southern border crisis, the Border Patrol chief released a memo that revealed agents may revert to releasing migrants into the US without court dates to manage the surge.

An Afghan national on terror watchlist crossed into US illegally with migrants near Otay Mesa before Title 42 expired. Fingerprint scan matched him on the Terrorist Screening Database and FBI started an investigation. Surge of migrants illegally crossing the border saw 67,700 apprehensions last week excluding 15,780 gotaways.

New Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says city 'traumatized by violence' has 'enough room' for migrant surge
Chicago's new progressive Mayor Brandon Johnson says the city has "enough room" for migrants and will not close its doors to those searching for a better life. The flow of new migrant arrivals into Chicago is expected to increase, now that Title 42 restrictions have ended. Johnson has tried to appeal to those who did not back him in the election, stocking his transition team with familiar names from Chicago corporations and philanthropies, beside leaders of organized labor and progressive groups.

Foreign Policy: Nuclear Tests May Be Back on Moscow’s Agenda
Nuclear Tests May Be Back on Moscow’s Agenda
Russia and the United States may consider going back to explosively testing nuclear weapons underground after almost 30 years since they stopped. Computer modeling and smaller experiments have been used to replace nuclear explosive testing, but the uncertainty of aging components in nuclear weapons may lead to the need for testing. Aging damage to plutonium pits and the need to develop new nuclear weapons designs are also factors to consider. Non-testing regimes may signal weakness or lack of confidence, especially for Russia. Ultimately, decreasing nuclear arsenals may be an opportunity to turn towards lower numbers and even elimination, consistent with the promise in Article VI of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.

Democratic Party convention descends into 'complete chaos' in Minnesota
Democrats in Minnesota intend to ban violent assaulters from its ranks, after a heated confrontation arose between the supporters of Aisha Chughtai and Nasri Warsame. Warsame's supporters took to the stage to show their unrest during a convention, prompting some supporters of Chughtai to react negatively. The meeting was adjourned without any nominees being chosen and no arrests were made, although at least two people were reported injured. A Chughtai supporter said she feared people would die. Ken Martin, the chairman of the state Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, tweeted the assaults and violence were committed by Warsame's supporters and called for emergency meetings to address incidents occurring in Ward 10.

The Federalist: Senate GOP Want Answers On Biden's Election Interference
Senate GOP Want Answers On Biden's Election Interference
Senate Republicans demand President Biden hand over documents related to his March 2021 executive order directing federal agencies to interfere in state and local elections. The order required hundreds of federal agencies to interfere in the electoral process by using taxpayer money to boost voter registration and get-out-the-vote activities, which the senators argue is partisan and involves left-wing groups that abuse their nonprofit status to target likely-Democrat voters. They are demanding copies of the strategic plans and a full accounting of all federal funding used to-date to comply with the order by May 23.

Washington Free Beacon: DeSantis Critic JB Pritzker Sent His Family to This $18M Florida Horse Farm During the Pandemic
DeSantis Critic JB Pritzker Sent His Family to This $18M Florida Horse Farm During the Pandemic
Republican Florida governor Ron DeSantis is in a feud with Democratic Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker. DeSantis gave a keynote address at a dinner in Illinois, prompting Pritzker to accuse him of espousing cruelty and a hateful agenda. DeSantis fired back by reminding the audience that Pritzker sent members of his family to stay in Florida during the pandemic. Illinois has seen its population shrink as residents leave, while Pritzker himself purchased a horse farm in Florida that has increased in value. Pritzker's attacks on DeSantis are seen as an attempt to raise his own political profile, despite having no chance of winning the Democratic Party's nomination.

Donald Trump criticized Fox News for letting go of Tucker Carlson and not promoting his election fraud theories on his social media platform Truth Social. Trump accused Fox News contributor Marc Thiessen of being a "Bush flunky" and criticized Fox News for "desperately pushing DeSanctimonious," Trump's nickname for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. He also attacked DeSantis, calling him a "dead man walking" without his endorsement in the 2018 Florida gubernatorial race. Alexander Vindman Tries and Fails in War of Words With Elon Musk on COVID Mandates
Media and politicians demonized the unvaccinated during the pandemic, spewing anti-American rhetoric and threatening to use the full force of the United States government against anyone who defied their will. Mandates proposed by President Joe Biden would have covered over 100 million people, requiring vaccination or regular testing. Many unvaccinated Americans lost their jobs for non-compliance with mandates until they were struck down by the Supreme Court. Elon Musk responded to the video, stating that Biden demanded the firing of all unvaccinated personnel until the Supreme Court struck down Biden's vaccination decree, which hurt many Americans and caused them to lose their jobs. Alexander Vindman tried to dispute Musk's remarks and used vile language to lash out.

During the event, children were seen on stage dancing alongside adult male drag queens in a provocative manner. The event marketed itself as family-friendly by hosting meet-and-greets with the Teletubbies in its “Kid Zone.” Tennessee passed a bill prohibiting hosting drag shows in settings where minors may be present, but a federal judge blocked the law.

BlazeTV host Mark Levin believes that companies like Anheuser-Busch continue to make the same mistake due to political motivations in the corporate boardrooms. Levin suggests that this opens the door to new conservative companies, such as Ultra-Right Beer. They have produced a new ad which is the complete opposite of woke, going as far as calling for people to stop giving money to woke corporations that go against their values.

Brownstone Institute: Farewell Questions for Rochelle Walensky ⋆ Brownstone Institute
Farewell Questions for Rochelle Walensky ⋆ Brownstone Institute
Many claims made by the CDC regarding COVID vaccines lacked foundation in fact or data. Safety and inefficacy signals were ignored, data collection was rigged, and safety assessments were not being performed until long after problems were evident. The paucity or utter absence of supporting evidence underpinned grand claims of safety and efficacy. These unfounded claims and distortionary definitions seem both a poor and deeply dangerous practice for Public Health. Public trust in public health must be restored by asking hard questions, holding malefactors accountable, and preventing this from happening again. Public health runs on public trust.

Where is the letter from Pentagon defense experts calling for the US to defend democracy by stopping the invasion of the southern border? Nowhere. Shouldn't there be a denouncement of the collapse of the border by an invasion force? These experts could assert that the Russians, Chinese, ISIS, Syria, Al Qaeda are involved in the invasion and that it's consistent with leaked reports. The arrival of invaders in the US political scene have all the earmarks of an invasion operation. Has Joe Biden let millions of people into the country since he took office? Where are the generals, admirals, and commandants now that the country is being invaded? They are silent.

Forbes: Everyone Loses If We Broach The Debt Ceiling
Everyone Loses If We Broach The Debt Ceiling
President Biden and House Republicans are at odds over the debt ceiling, and the economy hangs in the balance. The Treasury has been using "extraordinary measures" to avoid a government default, but these short-term solutions may be exhausted by June 1st. A default or even the possibility of one could lead to a credit downgrade, higher interest rates on federal borrowing and other types of debt, volatility in security and stock markets, delayed government payments, and decreased savings for those with 401(k)s or pensions. Congress and the White House must prioritize economic growth by reaching a reasonable compromise to raise the debt ceiling.

The inflation rate remains elevated, and businesses do not expect improvement in conditions over the next six months.

The American Mind: Crony Baloney
Crony Baloney
American capitalism is afflicted with croniness and wokeism, which are products of cool, calculating deals between elites to maximize wealth and power. Such deals exploit exchange forums like politics to wield power and reward friends, while middle-class taxpayers bear the cost. Politicians and bureaucrats seek power, while corporations seek money, leading to a tellingly symbiotic relationship. To end such cronyism, a total separation of economy and state at the federal level is necessary, ending all regulatory and administrative activities that Congress has not explicitly authorized. However, this is not practical, and the entire US political-economic system needs a hard reset.
