Fox News: Hawley blasts misandrist ideology among the Left: Many US problems could be resolved with 'stronger men'
Senator Josh Hawley believes that America's crises can be partly attributed to the decline in fatherhood and increase in male depression, leading to record levels of suicide, drug and alcohol abuse and a significant portion of the male population missing from the workforce. Hawley argues that a considerable portion of America's population is missing from society due to men leaving their families behind or no longer seeking employment. He believes that the fatherlessness epidemic and misandry in society must be tackled to ease the crises involving youth, crime and family economics.
Hawley argues that the education system teaches children that being a boy is bad for heaven's sake, they are medicated and are taught that manhood is dangerous and needs to be renounced due to the prevalent misandrist ideology. This ideology is suffusing media and culture, all driven by the Left, leading to men feeling mollycoddled and discouraged from pursuing education or employment. Hawley believes that a change is necessary to get men to be strong, take on responsibilities, and be leaders to provide for their families to change America for the better.
Fox News: Mother’s Day highlights cases of missing, murdered moms across the country
On Mother's Day, some celebrate but others grieve. Lauren Lee Malloy lost her mother to murder in 1993, but she emphasizes that "grief is this celebration of love." Malloy encourages others who have lost their moms to remember the good things about them and spend time with loved ones on Mother's Day.
Unfortunately, there are cases of missing and murdered mothers, such as Suzanne Morphew, Meshay Melendez, and Heather Kelley. Many of these cases remain unsolved, and loved ones are seeking answers. Malloy suggests speaking up about cold cases and organizing with other families going through similar situations.

Fox News: Deadly storm Cyclone Mocha hits Burma, Bangladesh
Deadly Cyclone Mocha made landfall in Burma and Bangladesh, resulting in the evacuation of 500,000 people from coastal areas. At least three people were killed by the storm, including a 14-year-old boy hit by a falling tree, with the storm causing heavy rains and winds of up to 160 mph. The world's largest refugee camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh is threatened by the cyclone, and the International Rescue Committee warned that over 850,000 refugees risked losing their homes.
The IRC deployed mobile medical teams to Cox's Bazar, providing assistance to vulnerable groups. The cyclone was more severe than earlier predictions, with most expecting winds of up to 100 mph. With millions of fishers and coastal communities affected, the strain on Cox's Bazar and the refugees is expected to be severe.
National Review: Iran’s Stepped-Up Aggression in the Gulf Has the Region on Alert
Iran's recent seizure of two oil tankers in Gulf waters poses a risk to shipping and energy infrastructure in the region, according to risk analyst Torbjorn Soltvedt. The incidents have come in response to increasing sanctions on the country, which has also responded with its own sanctions and entry bans on EU and UK entities and individuals. Greece has warned its shipowners to exercise caution when sailing in the region and to navigate outside the waters under Iran's jurisdiction. The Biden administration has received criticism for not enforcing US sanctions on Iranian oil despite recent events.
The Niovi, a tanker carrying oil from Oman to Fujairah, was seized by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, prompting calls from the US State Department for its release. Tehran justified the seizure on a judicial order following a legal complaint, while also claiming that the previous tanker seized had collided with an Iranian vessel. However, tracking data from the tanker showed no signs of irregularities, and Iran has a history of using such incidents as leverage in negotiations. Iran's aggression raises questions about current US policies regarding Tehran and the feasibility of a new nuclear deal with the country.

Foreign Policy: How the French Riviera Got Its Glitz
Foreigners flock to Cannes even in the low season, where they indulge in luxury and frivolity. The French Riviera has been a place for the wealthy to flaunt their affluence for two centuries, and it's long history attracts many. It was once a peaceful oasis for the unwell, but the expansion of casinos and railways transformed the area into a bustling hub of glitz and glamor. The Riviera has seen booms and busts throughout the decades, including the highs of the Belle Époque and the Roaring '20s, and lows of both World Wars and the Great Depression. Despite growing problems with pollution and climate change, the Riviera remains a cultural phenomenon, and 6 million visitors came to the coast in the 2022 tourist season. Though the golden age of the French Riviera may have passed, "this sunny coast lifts the spirit."

National Review: Are Conservatives Winning the Debate on Transgenderism?
A recent poll shows that while most Americans support laws prohibiting discrimination against transgender people, they still believe that someone's gender is determined by their sex assigned at birth. This tension creates a conflict of rights between transgender rights and women's rights, children's rights, and parental rights. Conservatives may be winning the debate on some of the harms associated with transgenderism, such as in irreversible surgeries for children and in women's sports, but they may be losing on the principle of objective truth. Long-term success on the transgender issue means reinforcing the reality of sex in law and all aspects of American life.
Despite the poll results, there remains a clear conflict between transgender rights and women's rights, which is particularly evident in sports. Current measures, such as setting an arbitrary level of male-hormone impairment as the threshold of eligibility for men seeking to compete in women's sports, are grossly unfair to women. Conservatives need to reinforce the reality of sex in law and all aspects of American life to ensure long-term success on the transgender issue.
