Slay News: Historian Says Trump Will Win 2024 Presidential Election Based On Past Data
Historian Says Trump Will Win 2024 Presidential Election Based On Past Data
Famed historian Niall Ferguson predicts that former President Donald Trump will win the Republican nomination and defeat Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election. According to Ferguson, Biden is at risk of becoming a one-term president as no president since Calvin Coolidge has secured re-election during a recession occurring in the two years prior to voting. Though Biden and Trump have low approval ratings, Trump polls better on the economy, a key issue for voters.

Ferguson explains that the Republican frontrunner usually wins the nomination and a post-recession incumbent usually loses the election. Only one previous president has secured a second non-consecutive term, Grover Cleveland in 1892. Though there are other potential challengers for the 2024 presidential race, Ferguson believes that a second Trump act is becoming his base case.

Clash Daily: The Endless Witch Hunt Against Trump And Conservatives
The Endless Witch Hunt Against Trump And Conservatives
Left-leaning media outlets and Democrat mega-donors are working together to damage political opponents through orchestrated claims of sexual assault, according to a recent op-ed. The op-ed argues that lawsuits against Donald Trump are often funded by billionaires seeking to upend democracy, and orchestrated in such a way as to make it difficult for defendants to respond. The writer suggests that social media and the internet have made it easy for copycat claims to arise, despite a lack of evidence, police reports, or witnesses.

The op-ed also posits that the goal of these lawsuits is not justice, but rather to inflict damage on targeted Republicans in order to clear the path for Democrats to prevail in elections. The writer suggests that victims and their supporters are using claims of abuse to push a political agenda, which is made easier by a complicit media that focuses on the claims rather than their validity.

Breitbart: PHOTO - Cows Lead Officers to Suspect's Hiding Spot: 'Book 'Em, Elsie!'
PHOTO - Cows Lead Officers to Suspect's Hiding Spot: 'Book 'Em, Elsie!'
Police in North Carolina received unexpected assistance from a herd of cows while searching for a suspect who had fled after a traffic stop. Joshua Minton abandoned his car in an undeveloped area, and despite an extensive search operation, police were unable to locate him. However, cows grazing in the area were disturbed by his presence and led officers directly to his hiding place. The Town of Boone Police Department thanked the cows for their help and amusingly suggested creating a "Bovine Tracking Unit" for the department.

The incident has attracted humor from social media users, with comments suggesting that the cows were on a "steak out", and the police had "beefed up their patrols". However, one resident suggested that the cows' behavior was typical, explaining that the animals were probably expecting food. Minton faces several charges, including failure to stop for police and driving with a revoked license, and will appear in court at the end of June.

Breitbart: Van Drew: We Need to Claw Back COVID Money, It's Being Spent on SUVs for Officials
Van Drew: We Need to Claw Back COVID Money, It's Being Spent on SUVs for Officials
Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) called for a clawback of unspent COVID money as part of raising the debt ceiling. Van Drew pointed to New Jersey's use of COVID funds to buy SUVs as an example of misused funds that need to be clawed back. He stated that cuts could be made, a responsible debt ceiling put in place, and savings found in areas such as the 80,000 unnecessary IRS agents and by clawing back COVID funds to ensure they are used for their intended purpose.

Van Drew wants the government to negotiate and discuss his proposal for a responsible debt ceiling that will save money and keep the budget going. He believes that the administration does not care about taxpayers who are working harder to make less money because of inflation. Buying expensive new SUVs with COVID funds instead of using it for the intended purpose is one example of misused funds that need to be clawed back to help taxpayers.

Breitbart: Yellen: 'Most Banks' Can Handle Uninsured Depositors Fleeing, Won't Say No More Will Fail
Yellen: 'Most Banks' Can Handle Uninsured Depositors Fleeing, Won't Say No More Will Fail
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says the banking system is in good shape and banks are likely to survive the economic pressures caused by COVID-19, but admits that the earnings of some regional banks are coming under pressure due to the rise in deposit payouts and lower interest rates. When asked if she is confident that no other regional banks will fail, Yellen refrained from discussing individual banks, but stated that the overall banking system is well-capitalized and has solid earnings, reiterating that the situation is being carefully monitored.

Yellen mentioned that the banks that have failed had unique characteristics that made them vulnerable, but most banks, even the ones under pressure, have stable liquidity and can manage to pay off uninsured depositors in case of a run. Despite the challenges faced by some banks, the banking system as a whole seems well-prepared to weather the current economic situation.

Breitbart: Nolte: After 20 Years of Superstardom, Dwayne Johnson Still Has No Film Legacy
Nolte: After 20 Years of Superstardom, Dwayne Johnson Still Has No Film Legacy
Dwayne Johnson has been a top star for 20 years but has yet to create a timeless classic like Arnold Schwarzenegger's Conan the Barbarian, The Terminator, and True Lies, or even lesser titles like Commando and Twins. Johnson's movies, including Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Rampage, and Baywatch, may be entertaining, but they lack that special something that sets them apart. Schwarzenegger became an icon with iconic catchphrases, larger-than-life characters, top-flight directors, and an edge of violence. Johnson, on the other hand, is too generic, eager to please, pleased with himself, and afraid to color outside the lines.

Johnson may have a longer career and sell more tickets than some of the other action stars, but he lacks a legacy with action fans. People will always remember Schwarzenegger for his movies, but they may not even remember Johnson's movies. In 50 years, we'll still be watching Schwarzenegger's classics, but no one will be watching Johnson's Skyscraper or Jungle Cruise. Johnson just wants to be famous, while Schwarzenegger wanted a legacy and nailed it.
