Red State: WATCH: NBC's Guthrie Comes Loaded for Bear, Blisters Mayorkas Over Biden Border Crisis
WATCH: NBC's Guthrie Comes Loaded for Bear, Blisters Mayorkas Over Biden Border Crisis
The Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, and President Joe Biden have betrayed the American people more than anyone else in modern history. The border crisis didn't have to happen but was intentionally created by the agenda-driven White House. NBC's "Today" co-host Savannah Guthrie grills Mayorkas on the severe overcrowding and the new policy that allows highly vetted migrants to be released into the country with no court date and no way to track them, which a federal judge later struck down. Mayorkas lies by omission about the screening and vetting process used under the administration's direction, which is a crock-of-crap joke. Nearly 90 percent of likely general election voters blame the government for the ongoing crisis.

Guthrie confronts Mayorkas's continuing ridiculousness and exposes the White House's incompetence, asking why there is chaos and confusion at the border. Mayorkas attempts to blame congressional Republicans for the Biden Border Crisis™, incapable of accepting any personal responsibility or accountability. They discuss Biden's statement during the campaign in 2019, "All those people are seeking asylum. We’re a nation that says if you want to flee and you’re facing oppression, you should come." Guthrie finally asks, "Did that messaging encourage people to make this crossing?" They're now sitting outside the border, and Mayorkas has no answer.

The Arizona Sun Times: Republican Representatives Call on Governor to Activate State Resources to Protect Southern Border
Republican Representatives Call on Governor to Activate State Resources to Protect Southern Border
Arizona House Republicans have sent a letter to Governor Katie Hobbs requesting that she uses all available state resources to enforce the southern border and protect Arizona against threats. Republican lawmakers raised concerns surrounding an “endless flood of illegal activity,” which they claim the Biden administration’s decision to abandon Title 42 has exacerbated. They urge immediate action and an activation of state resources to safeguard Arizona communities.

The group includes representatives of border counties, Gail Griffin, Lupe Diaz, Tim Dunn, Michael Carbone, and Michele Pena. The lawmakers attached a 2022 proclamation made by the legislature and a 2022 legal opinion from Mark Brnovich that declared the crisis at the southern border an invasion, with the federal government failing in its duty to protect Arizona. They also noted that an emergency declaration made by former Governor Doug Ducey in 2021 is still in effect, with over $240 million remaining in the Arizona Border Security Fund, which they urge the governor to use immediately.

Breitbart: Washington Post Editors Deny Border Surge
Washington Post Editors Deny Border Surge
Washington Post editors claim that the White House has successfully controlled Southern migration, with a front-page headline reading "At the border, a reset but no surge". However, this headline conceals the reality of President Biden's surge of 83,000 migrants in one week. Furthermore, the report ignores Biden's decision to extract millions of workers, renters, and consumers from poor foreign countries for resettlement in American neighbourhoods, schools, and workplaces, despite the policy being unpopular with only 4% of Americans strongly approving and one in four opposed.

This policy, which is being pushed by business groups including Amazon, favours wage-cutting and revenue-boosting migrants. However, The Washington Post's front-page story minimises the migration scale and distracts readers from the migrants' pent-up frustration, who are risking everything to reach the US border and are struggling amidst the new border regulations. The policy of Extraction Migration extracts vast human resources, reduces beneficial trade, and uses imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow the economy and Wall Street while having a lethal impact on native-born Americans.

PJ Media: Low Even for Democrats: New York Boots Homeless Vets From Hotels as Biden's Border Boarders Hit the Empire State
Low Even for Democrats: New York Boots Homeless Vets From Hotels as Biden's Border Boarders Hit the Empire State
Veterans in New York, including some from the Vietnam War, were recently forced to leave the hotels they were staying in just as the state prepares to receive a surge of illegal immigrants from Biden's southern border. Sharon Toney-Finch, a disabled vet and CEO of the Yerik Israel Toney Foundation, says the timing leads her to believe that the veterans were displaced to make room for the immigrants. Toney-Finch says that the hotels are likely trying to get paid more, adding that booting the veterans out is especially unfair considering how much the foundation pays to house them.

Some of the veterans were only two weeks into a planned four-week stay when they were told to leave. New York State Assemblyman Brian Maher says that it's important to shed light on the situation and ensure that the hotels understand the impact on people already going through difficult times. The move to displace the veterans highlights Democrats' tendency to prioritize "various demographics" over those who have fought for the nation.

Breitbart: Black Chicago Residents Sue City Officials over Accepting Illegal Immigrants
Black Chicago Residents Sue City Officials over Accepting Illegal Immigrants
A group of Chicago citizens has filed a lawsuit to stop the city government from housing 500 migrants in a southside neighborhood school. The lawsuit claims that the proposed action disregards zoning laws and poses a significant threat to the rights and interests of residents. Black residents have spoken out against the influx of migrants, as it is pushing them out of valuable real estate and sidelining them in the economy and politics.

Activists are pushing for 30% of Chicago's $60 billion budget to be allocated to services and employment for the black community. They say that the current government favors the fast-growing immigrant population, leaving black Americans with little opportunity for well-paid jobs or affordable housing. Many black Americans also express opposition to chain migration and believe that shifting their voting alignment could change the way politicians approach immigration policy.

Breitbart: Brooks: Trump Is a Major Figure Because He Has Support and It's Not our Job to Deny Him a Platform
Brooks: Trump Is a Major Figure Because He Has Support and It's Not our Job to Deny Him a Platform
NY Times' David Brooks defended giving former President Donald Trump a live platform, saying that the media should not appoint themselves as censors or determiners of who gets covered. Trump is a prominent figure, and the American people have chosen to make him so through polling. Brooks argues that it would be disastrous to appoint oneself a censor, and highlights that one of the reasons why Trump is popular is due to people believing the media to be arrogant.

Facing criticism from its viewers and its staff, CNN recently gave Trump a live platform in a town hall event. NY Times' David Brooks praised this move, arguing that Trump is in fact a major figure who people have chosen to make prominent. Brooks' defense was based on the idea that the media's job is to cover major figures, not censor them, and that it would be disastrous to appoint oneself as censor. The media, Brooks argues, should not decide who gets covered in this country, as this would be seen as arrogant and could fuel Trump's popularity.

The Hill: America’s state media: The blackout on Biden corruption is truly ‘Pulitzer-level stuff’
America’s state media: The blackout on Biden corruption is truly ‘Pulitzer-level stuff’
Rep. Byron Donalds tried to get the press to acknowledge a corruption scandal involving Joe Biden's family, but was met with resistance. Despite evidence showing nine Biden family members receiving funds from corrupt figures, the media is insisting that there is no direct proof of wrongdoing by the President himself. However, the purpose of influence peddling is to use family members as shields for corrupt officials, making this scandal unusual in its scale.

The media's response to the scandal has been likened to state media, with a consistent spin, a lack of details, and absurd distinctions. The coverage of this scandal has all the markings of propaganda, with a willingness to disseminate partial truths or outright fictions. Ultimately, it is a shame that corruption is not being taken seriously by the media, as it is a cancer that eats away at a citizen's faith in democracy.

Daily Wire: DeSantis Meets With Voters After Drawing Large Crowd, Warns GOP Will Lose 2024 If Focus Is On The Past
DeSantis Meets With Voters After Drawing Large Crowd, Warns GOP Will Lose 2024 If Focus Is On The Past
Ron DeSantis, the Florida Governor, met with Iowa voters during a visit to Sioux Center and gave a speech about the upcoming challenges for conservatives, as well as his accomplishments in Florida. DeSantis also warned that if Republicans do not win big in the 2024 election, it may result in detrimental consequences for the country.

DeSantis spoke in front of around 650 people and claimed that the political Left is “playing for keeps”. He urged Republicans to focus the 2024 election on Joe Biden's failures and on providing a positive alternative for the future of the country, warning that if they get distracted, the Democrats may beat them again, which would be difficult to recover from.

Independent Sentinel: Grads Turn Their Backs on Mayor Adams As He Gives Commencement Speech
Grads Turn Their Backs on Mayor Adams As He Gives Commencement Speech
CUNY law students protested Mayor Eric Adams as he gave their commencement address. Some graduates turned their backs on him and there were boos and heckles throughout the speech. Adams faced controversy for his response to the death of Jordan Neely, a mentally ill homeless man who was killed in a subway station by a Marine veteran.

The graduate protest at CUNY Law was against Adams' perceived terror against Black and brown communities and support for state violence, as well as his handling of the Neely case. Some media outlets have painted Neely's killer as a murderer, but Penny's attorneys argue it was self-defense. The incident highlights the difficulty of getting a fair trial in New York City when facing leftist radicals.

Human Events: Canadian city bans BARKING in dog park
Canadian city bans BARKING in dog park
A sign banning barking in a Montreal dog park has caused anger among pet owners who claim it is unrealistic to stop dogs from barking, as it is a natural behavior. The sign states that it is forbidden for dogs to bark, whine or howl, and those whose dogs break the rule can face a fine of up to $2,000.

Dog owners have argued that barking is an essential way of communicating for dogs and suppressing it could cause harm. The controversy has prompted many to speak out against the sign, with one owner saying it was "not fun anymore" to go to the park. The city has said that the sign was intended to reduce the noise nuisance experienced by local residents, and that they are monitoring the situation closely.

The Federalist Papers: Brittney Griner Changes Tune on National Anthem in First Game Back Since Russian Imprisonment
Brittney Griner Changes Tune on National Anthem in First Game Back Since Russian Imprisonment
Despite its imperfections, America is still the best country in the world. This is due, in part, to the freedoms it provides, particularly for those who hold far-left views on gender and sexuality, making it a desirable place for people to immigrate to. WNBA star Brittney Griner, who was detained in Russia for 10 months, has gained a new appreciation for America and its national anthem.

Griner's comments on the national anthem at a recent preseason game signify a change in attitude towards America, as she previously argued that the anthem should not be played. While America has its faults, including crime, media corruption, and government overreach, its freedoms remain a draw for immigrants seeking a better life, and America's tolerance is second to none.

Joey Gallo's mammoth home run breaks Statcast; measurements not found
Joey Gallo of the Minnesota Twins hit a three-run home run against the Chicago Cubs at Target Field, but the ball's distance and speed were not recorded. Hayden Wesneski pitched a 94.9-mph fastball, which Gallo hit with an uppercut toward right-center field. The broadcasters, viewers, and fans could not track the ball, but they knew it added three runs to Minnesota's 1-0 lead.

Gallo's eighth homer of the season increased his RBI to 18. Statcast recorded Alex Kirilloff's back-to-back home run's exit velocity at 101.3 mph and a distance of 422 feet. Though Gallo's blast's details were not recorded, he is tied for eighth on Statcast's list for the longest homer hit with a distance of 495 feet when he was with the Texas Rangers.

Premier Angler: What is a Stonefish? - Premier Angler
What is a Stonefish? - Premier Angler
The stonefish is a venomous fish found in the sea. It belongs to the genus Synanceia and the family Scorpaenidae. With its ability to camouflage to its surroundings and coloration that helps it blend in with the rocks on the ocean floor, the stonefish can be difficult to distinguish from its environment. However, it is important to exercise caution when swimming or participating in aquatic recreation in areas where stonefish are known to dwell as their venomous spines can cause excruciating pain, tissue damage, and even death if not treated promptly. It is generally recommended to avoid consuming stonefish due to the risk of venomous stings.

Stonefish are primarily found in the warm coastal waters of the Indo-Pacific region, particularly in Australia and parts of Southeast Asia. They are bottom feeders and can remain immobile for long periods of time, helping them evade predators and stalk their prey. Stonefish are also known to be voracious eaters and can grow up to 20 inches. Despite their reputation as one of the most venomous fish in the world, stonefish are fascinating creatures with a unique appearance and behavior.

Field & Stream: Watch Two Teed-Off Gators Fight on Florida Golf Course
Watch Two Teed-Off Gators Fight on Florida Golf Course
Golf courses in Florida ain't all relaxing golf swings and refreshing drinks- gators can make it life-threatening. In Florida, gators have been causing a stir recently during their mating season, with reports that a woman walking her dog was dragged underwater by one. But this isn't the first time gators have been caught on camera making trouble, as a battle royale at a golf course in Odessa, Florida in 2011 showed. So, if you're hitting the links in Florida, be wary of those water hazards.
