Nicoleta Popescu, 19, and Nicon Popescu, 31, have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a knife-point robbery at a Sainsbury's in Battersea, London, where they stole thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes. The couple was convicted of aggravated burglary and theft.
The pair, along with an accomplice, executed a planned attack on September 1, 2022, threatening staff and customers. They were apprehended two months later with tools for theft. Nicon received a sentence of three years and eight months, while Nicoleta was sentenced to two years and seven months.
