Le Monde: Trump administration targets California's electric car standards
Trump administration targets California's electric car standards
Donald Trump has taken steps to dismantle electric vehicle initiatives established by Joe Biden, directly targeting California's regulations on air pollution. His executive order aims to reverse the goal of having electric cars make up half of new vehicle sales by 2030 and halts funding for charging stations.

Trump's actions include plans to eliminate the federal tax credit for electric vehicle buyers and revoke California's authority to set its own emissions standards, highlighting the state's significance in the broader fight against fossil fuels.
