The Telegraph: Israel’s ‘Q’ tests lasers that can shoot down incoming rockets
Israel’s military has successfully tested a new defence system that uses lasers to destroy incoming rockets. The system, called Iron Beam, is designed to work alongside the existing Iron Dome air-defense system and offers a cheaper alternative to intercepting rockets. While the laser system is not yet ready for full-scale deployment, it shows promise in protecting Israel from enemy attacks.
