Exclusive: Colombia-Born Sen. Bernie Moreno Reveals the One Thing the Media Won’t Tell You About Trump’s Crackdown
Colombian President Gustavo Petro initially permitted two deportation flights for illegal migrants from the U.S. but later retracted that permission, leading to tensions with former President Trump. Trump threatened tariffs and sanctions on Colombia, prompting Petro to agree to accept deported Colombians.

Senator Bernie Moreno criticized mainstream media for misrepresenting the situation, asserting that the Colombian government had initially consented to the flights. After negotiations, Colombia agreed to accept all deported citizens, despite Petro's earlier claims of mistreatment of migrants.
