Colombia has agreed to accept all deported Colombian migrants from the U.S. in exchange for a pause on tariffs imposed by President Trump. The White House stated that tariffs will remain on hold unless Colombia fails to comply with the agreement.
Visa restrictions and increased customs checks will remain until the first deportees are returned. Trump's administration had previously threatened tariffs and sanctions after Colombia rejected U.S. flights carrying deported migrants.
