Christina Plumb, a war widow, faced justice for a violent episode fueled by drink. She assaulted her second husband, Adam, and his daughter in their Devon home, inflicting wounds with kicks, scratches, and bites after consuming gin. 

The judge deemed her manipulative and acknowledged the psychological toll on the victims. Plumb received a suspended 12-week prison sentence but must fulfill 150 hours of unpaid work, attend rehabilitation, and follow a restraining order.
