A London judge has ordered Josie Hitchens to pay £37,000 in damages for years of harassment against her neighbors, Tim Sheppard and Elena Garcia-Alvarez. Hitchens trapped their Bengal cat and used electronic frog noises to disturb them, significantly impacting their quality of life.
The court issued a five-year order prohibiting Hitchens from further harassment. Judge Tracey Bloom described her actions as a long campaign of harassment that was "genuinely offensive and unacceptable." The couple's attempts to sell their home were unsuccessful, and they incurred substantial costs to mitigate the disturbances.
