A nine-year-old boy, André Gleißner, has been identified as the first victim of the Magdeburg Christmas market attack, which also claimed the lives of four women. The alleged perpetrator, a Saudi doctor, drove a BMW through the market, prompting an outpouring of grief from André's mother.
In response to the attack, hundreds of far-right protesters rallied in Magdeburg, demanding mass deportations of migrants. The suspect, who arrived in Germany in 2006, had previously expressed anti-immigration sentiments and supported the far-right AfD party.

GB News: US Navy pilots shot down over Red Sea in 'friendly fire' incident
Two Navy pilots were shot down in a "friendly fire" incident over the Red Sea during airstrikes against Yemen's Houthi rebels. The USS Gettysburg mistakenly fired on an F/A-18 from the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group. Both pilots were recovered alive, with one sustaining minor injuries.
