Flag And Cross: Americans Spend Nearly 4 Hours Weekly On Cleaning, Finds Pandemic-Influenced Survey
Americans Spend Nearly 4 Hours Weekly On Cleaning, Finds Pandemic-Influenced Survey
American cleaning habits have been greatly impacted by the pandemic, with respondents reporting spending five hours per week cleaning during that time. However, they have managed to cut that number down in recent months. Carpets and rugs, kitchen appliances, and other surfaces within the home were identified as the top cleaning struggles. Many people have implemented pandemic-era cleaning hacks such as using microfiber cloths or mops, opting for multi-purpose or DIY cleaning solutions, and utilizing steam cleaners for thorough sanitization. A 2-in-1 vacuum and mop was a popular cleaning hack, and respondents have become more concerned about the effectiveness of their cleaning practices. They have incorporated regular sanitization of frequently touched surfaces, cleaning shoes before entering the home, and more frequent cleaning of carpets and floors into their routines. New technologies, such as sanitization sensors and dirt/grime detectors, and help from other household members have also made cleaning easier. Cleaning was found to be therapeutic and is seen as a practice that reduces stress and improves mental health. It also increases productivity and focus, improves aesthetics and comfort, and has benefits for physical health. The survey was conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Tineco.

Grigori Sverdline's network, "Idite Lessom," helps deserters and individuals who refuse to fight. They have assisted over 2,000 people wanting to escape the army and avoid conscription. Despite facing criminal investigation and new legislation, these volunteers work to help individuals cross borders and provide assistance.
