Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo faces legal trouble as a criminal complaint is filed against her for alleged political advertising. Hidalgo accused the District Attorney of leaking warrants, but they were already public. She is also under review for her involvement in bid-rigging for a vaccine contract.
Hidalgo, who previously took a leave of absence for depression, met with Vice President Kamala Harris before the complaint was filed. She thanked Harris and President Biden for their support of the Latino community. The County Judge's office has not commented on the investigation.
