American Thinker: Milei at the opera with his Melania?
Milei at the opera with his Melania?

The recent presidential election in Argentina revealed deep political divisions. The president-elect faced both cheers and jeers at a performance in Buenos Aires, highlighting the polarization in the country. Despite his controversial remarks about the Left, he won a comfortable victory. Some compare him to Trump, mainly due to his attractive girlfriend. The hope is that his election will bring an end to Peronismo and its influence in Argentina. The future remains uncertain, but perhaps a tango will capture the essence of these events.

This Islamic Scholar Railed Against Gays. An Anti-Israel Student Group Invited Him to UPenn's Campus.
An anti-Israel student group at the University of Pennsylvania invited Yasir Fahmy, an Islamic scholar, to speak at a conference. Fahmy previously made derogatory statements about the LGBTQ+ community and has delivered anti-Semitic sermons. After facing backlash, the Penn Muslim Students Association removed Fahmy's name from the conference program guide and made the conference video private. This incident highlights tensions between the group's anti-Israel rhetoric and the university's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Washington Free Beacon: GOP Lawmaker Wants Biden Admin to Explain Why It Granted Iran $10 Billion in Frozen Funds
GOP Lawmaker Wants Biden Admin to Explain Why It Granted Iran $10 Billion in Frozen Funds
Republican Rep. Bryan Steil is questioning the Biden administration's decision to grant Iran access to $10 billion in frozen funds, warning that it could enable more violence against Israel and the US. Steil is concerned that by allowing the funds to be converted into euros and used for humanitarian purchases, it will free up other funds for Iran's global terrorism enterprise. He is further pressing the White House to explain the safeguards in place to ensure the funds are used solely for humanitarian purposes and to justify the selection of third-party countries to transfer the funds.

American Thinker: Our forgotten first war against Islamic terrorists
Our forgotten first war against Islamic terrorists
Most Americans seem to have forgotten our first war against Muslims. In the late 18th century, our objection to Islamist practice was their piracy and slaving against our ships and sailors in the Mediterranean Sea. In 1794, our Congress authorized construction of the first six ships of the U.S. Navy, including the U.S.S. Constitution, still in commissioned service and now docked in Boston. In 1795, our diplomats negotiated treaties with the Muslim states of Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli to pay them tribute for the privilege of free passage. But in 1801, the Pasha of Tripoli, citing late payments of tribute, demanded additional money and declared war on the United States. The United States Marines defeated the Pasha’ forces with a combined naval and land assault. That short foreign conflict is remembered in the Marines’ Hymn in the words “to the shores of Tripoli.”
