Fox News: California Highway Patrol gets in some monkey business during routine stop
A California Highway Patrol traffic stop for speeding turned bizarre when officers discovered a one-month-old Spider Monkey in a Rolls-Royce. The exotic animal was taken into custody and transferred to the Oakland Zoo, as owning primates is illegal in California.
The driver, Ali Mused Adel Mohamed, 27, was arrested for DUI and possession of cannabis for sale. He faces multiple charges related to the incident.
GB News: Nearly two thirds of trans women prisoners are sex offenders, Ministry of Justice data reveals
New data from the Ministry of Justice indicates that nearly two-thirds of transgender women in prison are convicted sex offenders, with 151 out of 245 trans women inmates having committed at least one sexual offense. The figures show a 10% increase in transgender prisoners lacking official gender recognition.
In response to public concern, new regulations have been implemented regarding the placement of transgender prisoners, especially those with male genitalia or convicted of violent sexual offenses. These changes were partly influenced by the case of Isla Bryson, a convicted rapist initially placed in a women's prison.

Le Monde: Senegal president says no more 'foreign military presence from 2025'
Senegal's President Bassirou Dioumaye Faye announced that all foreign military presence in the country will end by 2025. This statement follows his earlier demand for the closure of French military bases, emphasizing Senegal's sovereignty and independence from foreign military influence.
Faye, who took office in April, aims for a new defense cooperation doctrine that treats foreign nations as strategic partners while asserting Senegal's autonomy. He clarified that this move does not sever ties with France, which remains a key partner for investment and business in Senegal.
