The Telegraph: Gas prices surge to highest point this year after Russia supply warning - latest updates
Gas prices have reached their highest level in a year due to warnings about reduced supplies from Russia. Dutch futures rose 5.4%, surpassing €46 per megawatt hour for the first time since November, following a €230m settlement awarded to Austrian energy group OMV by Gazprom.
OMV plans to recover the settlement by offsetting claims against invoices, which may strain relations with Gazprom and potentially disrupt gas supplies. Europe's reliance on global gas markets has increased since Russia cut pipeline supplies following the invasion of Ukraine.

Forbes: E. Coli Outbreak Linked To McDonald’s Has Sickened More Than 100 People, CDC Says
An E. Coli outbreak linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounder burgers has sickened at least 104 people nationwide, with 34 hospitalizations and one death reported. The CDC identified slivered onions from Taylor Farms as the likely source.
Despite the outbreak, McDonald's has resumed sales of the burgers after switching suppliers and the FDA stated there are no ongoing food safety concerns. Cases have been reported in 14 states, with Colorado and Montana being the hardest hit.
