Troops discovered letters from Yahya Sinwar, a slain Hamas leader, to his son, promoting hatred against Israel. Sinwar was killed by Israeli forces in Rafah after orchestrating the October 7 attack that resulted in significant Israeli casualties and hostages.
In addition to the letters, troops found valuable intelligence, cash, and a fake ID on Sinwar. He had previously served time for murder and was released in a prisoner exchange in 2011.
