Red State: ELECTIONS: Conservatives Triumph in New Zealand, Racist Referendum Defeated in Australia
Conservatives triumph in New Zealand, ousting the far-left Labour Party. Christopher Luxon becomes new prime minister. Jacinda Ardern's "zero COVID" policies and censorship efforts contribute to her party's defeat. In Australia, a referendum to recognize Indigenous people in the constitution is struck down, rejecting a tiered system and appeals to voter apathy. Far-left overreach leads to international defeats. Will the US see a similar correction in 2024?
American Thinker: Leftist media call Trump-supporters 'far-right'...for what?
Supporters of Trump, like Jim Jordan, are often labeled as "hard right," but the policies attributed to Trump's far-right stance seem to be more in line with middle-of-the-road views. These include enforcing border laws, opposing sanctuary cities, being tough on crime, supporting limits on abortion, lower tax rates, and fewer regulations. Trump also challenged the teaching that the US is a racist country, sought to reopen schools and businesses, supported school choice, opposed allowing men to compete against women, supported drilling and energy independence, demanded NATO payment, moved the US embassy to Jerusalem, challenged the 2020 election, and criticized Germany's reliance on Russia for energy. These policies are not necessarily far-right, but Democrats use this labeling tactic to avoid debating their own unpopular leftist policies.

Newsbusters: FLASHBACK: How TV News Spun for Hamas During the Last Gaza War
Seven days ago, Hamas started a new Middle East war with a massacre of more than 1,200 Israeli civilians. Next up: a likely ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, a patch of the Mediterranean coast controlled by the terrorist organization since 2005. The last time Israel sent tanks into Gaza, in 2014, we saw many in the U.S. media work to undermine the effort by blaming the Israelis for heavy casualties among Palestinian civilians who were, in fact, put in danger by the cruel decisions of cynical Hamas leaders... For a few days at least, the world seemed revolted by last week’s atrocities. Yet there are already disturbing signs that the history of 2014 is repeating itself, with some media voices already condemning Israel for “war crimes” and inflicting “terror” as it seeks to end the obvious threat from a despicable and deadly foe that has cynically embedded itself within a vulnerable civilian population. It’s the ultimate example of “blaming the victim.” Let’s hope there are others in the media who have learned from their past mistakes.
National Review: ‘I Have to Go’: American Explains Decision to Fight Hamas ‘Animals’ in Israel
Yaakov Swisa, a 15-year veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces now living in the U.S., felt compelled to return to Israel when he saw videos of Hamas terrorists attacking civilians. Despite having no legal responsibility to join the war, Swisa felt a duty to defend his home country. He flew back to Israel, paid $1,400 for a ticket, and received approval to volunteer in the fight against Hamas. Swisa is now serving on the Gaza border and is confident that Israel will finish what Hamas started.

Foreign Policy: Can Israel Handle a War on 2 Fronts?
Israel orders 1.1 million Palestinians to evacuate northern Gaza, raising fears of an imminent ground invasion that could lead to a humanitarian catastrophe. Hezbollah warns they are ready to join the conflict, adding another potent adversary along Israel's northern border.

American Thinker: Allahu Akbar: It couldn’t happen here...
Summary: Jews in America experienced a golden age with reduced anti-Semitism and a strong sense of pride in the existence of Israel. However, Israel is now falsely compared to Apartheid South Africa, and a moral equivalency is drawn between Israelis and Palestinians. This distortion of truth is perpetuated by organizations like the United Nations and ignorance among the population, leading to a rise in anti-Israel and anti-Semitic sentiments in America. The terror and violence witnessed in Israel, particularly by Hamas, is increasingly condoned by some Americans who desire the elimination of Israel.
The New American: Russia Accuses France of Waging Propaganda War Against Moscow
Russia's ambassador to France, Aleksey Meshkov, accuses France of conducting a propaganda war against Russia and stifling objective reporting. He speculates that France will soon be unable to continue sending weapons to Ukraine due to a lack of weapons for their own national security. French military officials also recommend focusing resources on national security. The situation in France is reminiscent of the ongoing Muslim riots, which have occurred multiple times since 1979, and are fueled by unchecked immigration and dissatisfaction with policing. The United States, like France, has used propaganda and censorship to divert attention away from its own challenges and towards Russia.
