NextImg:WHOOPS! Turns out Jon Stewart WAY overvalued his NYC property after blasting Trump for doing same

Jon Stewart is another liberal fraud, blasting Trump for over (and under) inflating his properties to his advantage, calling him a liar and accusing him of taking money out of other people’s pockets.

But it turns out that Stewart overvalued an NYC property he sold back in 2014 when he sold it for a whopping 829% more than what he paid for it. In fact he so overvalued it, that the person who purchased it had to sell it for a loss when they parted ways with it.

Here’s more from the NY Post:

Jon Stewart, who is back on The Daily Show, blasted Trump for overvaluing his properties and claiming that by lying about it, the loans he got couldn’t go to someone else who was more honest about their valuations.

He also claimed that, while Trump got more money in loans by overvaluing his property, he paid less in taxes by undervaluing it to the state. He again called Trump out as a liar.

But it turns out that Jon Stewart is guilty of doing the same thing he criticized Trump for with this New York City home back in 2014, and too the tune of a whopping 829%.

Here’s the news via the NY Post:

In 2014, Stewart sold his 6,280-square-foot Tribeca duplex to financier Parag Pande for $17.5 million. The property’s asking price at that time is not available in listing records.

But according to 2013-2014 assessor records obtained by The Post, the property had the estimated market-value at only $1.882 million. The actual assessor valuation was even lower, at $847,174.

Records also show that Stewart paid significantly lower property taxes, which were calculated based on that assessor valuation price — precisely what he called Trump out for doing in his Monday monologue.

Pande, who purchased the penthouse from Stewart, then resold the property at a nearly 26% loss, according to the Real Deal — at just over $13 million — in 2021.
